Franchise Mode: While coming out of game, screen will go into "dark mode"

While playing Franchise mode every so often you will come out of a game and the menu screen will go into a dark mode where it is black instead of your team color, almost like you switched to the AHL team but haven't. Next time you join a game, the playing screen will be completely black and all you can see is the color circle that highlights your player. This will continue until you can get a cut screen showing the bench or a replay. This usually resets it back to normal, or you have to completely shut down the game. This has been happening for the past few years, not sure if its unique to the way I play or no one has ever bothered to fix it.
