No music plays at all after disabling Original Music option in UFC 6

When the "Original Music" option is turned off in the game settings, the game stops playing all music. Neither the original soundtrack nor any licensed copyrighted songs play. The game becomes completely silent regarding background music.

This happens consistently in all game modes I tested main menu, career mode, quick fight,

Volume sliders are set correctly and other sound effects work normally.
