I don’t understand how they can be so lazy and useless with something so easy as this.

I completely support this. I’m having the exact same issue. The shorts show the correct colors in the lobby and when editing the Apex kit, but as soon as the actual fight loads, they’re forced back to white. That means the customization system clearly recognizes the selected colors, yet the game fails to apply them in matches.
This isn’t a minor cosmetic issue—Career Mode customization is a feature players spend time using, and it’s frustrating when it simply doesn’t work. Multiple people have reported this already, and it’s disappointing that the problem still hasn’t been addressed.
EA needs to acknowledge the bug and provide a fix. Players shouldn’t have to keep recreating fighters or changing gear settings just to see their chosen shorts colors disappear the moment a fight starts.

This issue happens with all shorts, not just specific colors or brands.
Whenever I’m in Career Mode and go to customize my fighter’s trunks before a fight, the color I select shows correctly in the customization menu and pre-fight screen. However, once the fight actually starts, my fighter is only wearing either plain black or plain white shorts, regardless of what color I selected.
I’ve tried selecting multiple different colors and combinations, but the result is always the same. The customization appears to save correctly outside of the fight, but it isn’t reflected during gameplay.
This has happened consistently in every Career Mode fight I’ve played on PS5. I’ve restarted the game, but the issue still persists.

They don’t care, it’s a shame you’ll release a game and charge $70+ and can’t even change something as simple a shirts color.

The same problem occurs here: the color selection is useless if you only select white or black when entering career mode. This happens with all CAF fighters.

Please fix this. We didn't pay $70 for a game with such absurd bugs, especially when this didn't happen in previous installments. Texture issues with the Gladiator Shorts on CAF bodies.

I heard it’s getting updated in July maybe it will be changed in that update but something like this shouldn’t take this much time I should of been fix with a patch on the first day of release.

I hope so!
And yes, I'm not a programmer, but I'm sure this isn't that hard to fix... it's a bit frustrating waiting so long for such a ridiculous bug... now only left to trust the CMs and hope EA fixes it

They haven't even fixed it yet and they've already updated it. The uniform color represents the fighter's country. If both fighters are from the same country, or if the red corner decides not to wear a uniform, the home fighter will wear white and the visiting fighter black. However, it happens in every fight and it doesn't make sense; it kills the immersion and, personally, it makes me not want to play, since I only play career mode, so what are the colors for then? Please fix it soon.
