NHL 26 early wishlist (let’s make NHL great again)
First off I will say nhl 25 is actual a huge step up im liking it so far , but it’s missing some details to feel complete.. full presentation needs to return and add more to what we had in the past games In edit player menu have the ability to change the color of sticks and gloves (nhl 2k had this) and now players have been customizing their own as well. Customizable tape job (adjust length on shaft and blade and not have it preset) And add the ability to edit goalie masks. hitting and collisions need to be tweaked to more realism. Franchise: be able to control more than one team able to scout and sign players from other leagues(I.E europe) Real coaches or at least customizable coaches A customizable GM character, have conversations be shown like it is in fifa where your Gm Meets the player. office similarly to dynasty mode in nhl 2004 On the hub where we get details of what went on in other games we can see highlights (either by clip or a screen shot) with description such as ‘stamkos nets a hat trick in last nights win’ and a small clip or screen shot showing stamkos scoring his 3rd goal. Be a pro: change up the whole be a pro game mode make it more like life the life. ability to use NhL players to continue their career or an nhl legend Street clothes for off days and make it interactive. If I buy a condo or a house i want to actualy see my self living in it. Same with the car we get, be able to drive around (a small map) and not just be a attribute boost. Pond hockey pick up games you can walk to or drive to when you leave your ‘house’ Call it a ‘hall of fame room’ similar to skybox 2k had in nhl2k5 where you had the Stanley cup and other interactive stuff and unlockables. Be able to decide to start from being drafted at 18 or create a 30 year old forward who just signed with an nhl team etc.. more interactive with teammates and coaches and GM list of teams you want to be traded to etc.. extras add winter classic and all star game (skills + game) both as a play now mode and also in franchise and be a pro. player retiring playing their last game get a ovation from crowd. Announce the player will retire 1 game before their last skate with the cup (playoff mode, season mode , franchise and be a pro) Tweak the fighting engine and allow more than one fight happening at once. this is a lot of an ask, but if we can get half of these implemented we are definitely heading Into greatness with NhL games.
Suggestions for Career and Franchise Mode Improvements in NHL 26
The Career mode in NHL 25 lacks several key elements to make the experience more immersive and realistic. It would be beneficial to add richer interactions between the player, the coach, the managers, and the team. Currently, the training sessions are too limited and could be much more realistic and impactful on player development. Additionally, allowing players to start very young, at age 14, in summer camps or junior leagues, would add a deeper dimension to a player's career. Furthermore, the Franchise mode could be improved by allowing players to start in any league, including those not currently available in the game. This would provide more diversity and strategic choices, allowing players to build a career at their own pace and create new dynamics for each team. These improvements would greatly enrich the overall experience of the game, offering more flexibility and opportunities to shape the player's journey. While it may be too late for NHL 25, these suggestions could be considered for NHL 26 if the developers are open to them. I hope a dev will answer my message or not :D
Be A Pro Captain
It's very easy to become captain in be a pro. You only need some management and teammate likeability and you can easily become captain in your second NHL season so it would be good if you could become alternate captain at first and decide to be captain or alternate captain because it's stupid to take away the C from Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid in your second NHL season.

I'm a big fan of the games and am a Be A Pro merchant. I've played the last 10 NHL games, and have been wondering why it's so easy to become the captain in Be A Pro. The few things I want for NHL 26 Be A Pro are very simple: NHL 19 mechanics where it took 3-4 seasons to get the A, and 2-3 seasons after that to get the C. Since then, you could pretty much immediately become captain after a single season in every Be A Pro. I would love to see them implement these mechanics into the next game. It not only gives you something to work towards, but also adds a level a realism to the game. Please give less dialogue in Be a Pro and make it easier to sim. With so many random side missions and interactions, it makes it difficult to want to really grind the career and play for a while. NHL 19 is a perfect example of what my ideal Be A Pro would look like. Fix the Low, High, and Fixed camera angles to make them not spin in 360 degrees. Here are some ideas for NHL 26 #1-Include All-Star Game in Be-A-Pro mode #2-Bring back multiplier and extra trait points in Be-A-Pro mode as a preorder bonus #3-Use CHEL equipment (skates, sticks, and goalie sticks) of all 32 teams for when you create a player #4-Purchase World of CHEL points (Playstation Store and Microsoft Store)
Improvements
Ladies and gentlemen! Why in the modes: franchises, be a pro, play now not to add a match of stars, but better a star weekend, winter classics, bruises after fights, youth world championship and world championship, as well as improve the principled matches, their design, make the coaching original line-up, that it would be in the roster, what do you say EA sports?! FRANCHISE MODE GAME PLAY IS RUINED
So bad….. SOOOOO BAD!!!!! It's barely possible to hit the opponents, but Cole Caufield can bodyslam Mattia Ekholm like he is a child. passes always hit a skate ALWAYS You can’t pass or shot if they hit you but they can do perfect pass everytime you hit the….. the puck just bounche to them what ever you do. Late hits and blindside hit without any penalty only injured player every game 🤮 GOALIE ARE THE BIGGEST TRASH IN ALL GAME MODE YOU HAVE….. oh sorry not in the opposing team. ice-Q ehat is that??? well it dosen’t work at all Year after year we are asking for things that are easy to give us for exempel let us change the age/lenght/weight of players… or let us have more options for creating players like their play style: leader/rat/fighter/etc etc… I mean WOC have a lot of new goalie masks, why can’t we have them in franchise mode? why can’t you just remove hamburger logos and give us realistic cool logos…. 🤷♂️ just so tierd of how much you don’t care about what players want. RIP be a proAn idea to enhance be a pro in Nhl 26.
Hey EA, my name is zach, and i’m an avid nhl gamer, i’ve been thinking about ways to make Be A Pro more immersive and have some exciting ideas i would love to share. I would really enjoy bringing back the minors season and you could improve your stats. One of my needs for be a pro i would love to see international tournaments where you could play in the world juniors to get your rank in the draft higher, the olympics and the four nations, these would be sick and definitely make me want to play more be a pro. All Star Weekend would be amazing in Be A Pro. Participate in the games, and competitions like fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy shooting, and shootout competition! Winter Classic would be sick, where you have a slight chance every season to play in the winter classic and you can make new custom clothing options like pit vipers, and a winter hat, and maybe even face paint. Also a heritage classic would be sick and add special animations. AHL and ECHL development path to make your way to the Nhl, where you can play seasons in the ECHL or AHL to your journey to the Nhl (optional). An optional start to your career where you play an entire season in the CHL to try and get your team to the memorial cup. Add Optional training sessions that you can play! Examples include 1v1 battles, power play practice, shootout training, penalty kill training, breakouts, and drills that you can play! it would be amazing. If your team is out of playoff contention or your team is barely winning, you should be able to showcase yourself for potential trades at the trade deadline where you could play “audition” games to see scouts from other teams to evaluate your performance. At the end of the season you should be able to attend a virtual awards ceremony where you could win awards. includes cutscene for acceptance, and fan reactions. Finally Expansion Draft and relocation challenges. If your part of an existing team during expansion year, there’s a chance you could be left unprotected, and drafted by a new franchise. Alternatively, experience challenges as a player in a relocated teams, new fans and fresh markets. And finally don’t forget to change the opening cutscene hahah.
