Friday Highlights - March 13th
Sul Sul everyone! It’s our favorite day of the week, and already the second Friday the 13th of the year! So how superstitious are you feeling today, will you be avoiding umbrellas and ladders? I live with a black cat, so I’ll be giving him extra cuddles and treats today to bribe him for some good luck 😸 Let’s quickly catch up on the news from this week: On Tuesday, we got a sneak peek at the upcoming fixes with the newest Laundry List - take a look here to see what all will be included! “It’s called fashion sweaty, look it up” posted here, by belalucina Now let’s get on to the highlights! Let’s get our week started with a story from one of our current most popular threads, Darling Vampire, written by Frostysirenfox. This story follows Lilith Darling, a young vampire navigating her way through the One Month One World One Year Challenge. Lilith has recently been on the run from a ruthless group of vampire hunters, and has just settled into her new home in Nordhaven. This week, she struggles with the loss of a dear old friend, but she’s surprised to find she’s not as alone as she thought… 🦊🦊🦊 There’s several more fantastic stories happening in this discussion as well, and all are worth reading, so be sure to check them all out, and feel free to join in with your own gameplay story as well! Why settle on one architectural style for your house when you can have all of them? This week’s build, King of the Quarry, created by the_mikado is the perfect mashup of a French style chateau, a classic medieval castle, and canal house all with modern touches. This lovely estate includes an indoor pool, large dining and entertaining hall, small throne room, piano lounge room, and two bedrooms complete with en-suite bathrooms. If you’ve been looking for the right home but don’t want to settle on one particular style, this is the perfect castle for you! 🏰🏡 Up next, we’ve got a brand new legacy gameplay story to follow along with called Grimms Generation, written by shandy_lou97. The founding Sim for this legacy is Brynlee Grim, a young tattoo artist looking to start fresh. With only 20k to her name, her goal is to run a thriving business and become the best tattoo artist in Nordhaven. So will she make it? This story is just getting started, so be sure to follow along! ⚓🧑🏽🎨🖌️ It’s been awhile since we had an update on one of my favorite occult gameplay stories, but this week we finally got a new chapter for The Tides of Power, written by simscognito. This story follows Queen Melody, a royal siren with a deadly secret as she struggles with her insecurities and disloyal Court. This week, tensions are beginning to rise as she starts to suspect the worst from her chamberlain and advisor. This noble drama is full of deceit, action and fantasy, so if you’re looking for an exciting new story to binge, grab the popcorn and read on!🧜🏼♀️👑 We’ll close our week out with a new Sims 3 World, Crimson Cliffs Inhabited, created by ump1vintti. This once remote island is surrounded by dangerous waters and is now home to a small population of 60 residents who make their living off the natural gold veins located across the land. The town currently has 56 commercial lots, including a city hall, library, salon, and two schools, with several hangout spots like a lovely beach, fishing holes, and even a festival grounds. So if you’re looking to start a quiet new coastal life, be sure to check this world out and play with either the premade households each with a backstory and lore, or start your own family instead 🪨⛏️ And that’s a wrap for another exciting week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire543Views16likes12CommentsFriday Highlights - April 3rd
Sul Sul! Happy Friday, and happy long Easter weekend! 🐣 Are you going to go (or prepare) egg hunting? What is your go-to chocolate for Easter? 🍫 I love the mini Kinder eggs so much, I only allow myself a small pack because once I open it, I don't stop until it's empty 🤭 If Lila wrote this book, she would be a ghost writer! posted here by PuzzlingMystery Let's dive straight into the Highlights! And let’s keep the Easter spirit with a very appropriate thread from Aloona78 who discovered an easter egg related to another video game, with the character Astarion from Baldur’s Gate 3, whose is grave available in the Life & Death expansion pack. Have you ever noticed other funny crossovers in the game? There are so many references to other medias and pop culture, it’s hard to pick just one! My favourite must be the Cake is a lie painting, a reference to the popular Portal games 🍰 If you also noticed funny crossovers with other franchises, make sure to let us know! If you're in need of a new public lot for your city sims, jn196465 has released The Open Air, a rooftop restaurant located in San Myshuno. Built on the Penthouse and located on two floors, your sims can appreciate a nice meal with a stunning view of the town on a sunny day 🏙️But if it's raining, Jn got your sims covered (literally) with a fully closed glass dining room. There is also a bar for sims who just want to relax a little bit, and two equipped kitchens for fast service. Bonus: there is an extra empty room upstairs that you can use however you want: private lounge, food-coma area, the potential is limitless, so make sure to grab this build if you're interested! In search of a new challenge? Shelly’s Premades by ShellyE1 could be your next gaming adventure. This challenge keeps the fun going every month by picking a random premade household from a pre-chosen world 🎯 You must do a makeover of the household, remodel the house and rooms to match the vibe or personality of each members, and upload your submissions with the hashtag #ShellysPremades. The chosen household for the month of April is the Nishidake Family from Mt Komorebi. Don’t worry if you don’t own the packs that include specific households, as ShellyE1 will upload them with their houses to the Gallery so you can also participate in the challenge ✨ I can’t wait to see all the different entries! For our Sims 3 players, ump1vintti is currently sharing a lot of premade community lots, each ones more beautiful than the last 🏘️ First we have the Beachcomber Museum if your sims feel like a wander to the different exhibitions rooms. Then there is Martha’s Bakery with its delicious food and colorful walls, and Va-va Vintage for a little shopping spree. If your sims love the outdoor, they can head to the local Farmer’s Market or have a stroll near the beautiful surroundings of Château Margaux. As you see, there will be plenty of new places to keep all your sims busy and happy 🤗 It’s always tough to say goodbye to our sims when they pass. Brd709 is asking us an important question this week: do you let life follow its natural course when this happens, or do you revive your sims? It seems that it depends on each player and especially on the situation: a sim dying a stupid and unexpected death might be revived as they didn’t have time to experience other things. But a sim dying of old age, or a sim dying and being able to remain as a ghost is a little bit different… now, pets dying is a whole different story altogether and it’s even harder to let those go 😭 How do you handle those situations yourself? Alright people, that concludes it for today. Enjoy the Easter weekend, eat plenty of chocolates, and see you next time! 🐰 Cath220Views15likes13CommentsFriday Highlights - March 27th
Sul Sul my lovelies! It’s finally Friday and I am very much looking forward to a quiet relaxing weekend! Have you got anything exciting scheduled for the weekend? To join, check out the official rules here. Ringtail waiting to be rescued, posted here, by BlueSeaWaves Don’t panic, it’s finally time to get into the highlights! We’ll kick the week off with an update from one of the most wholesome gameplay stories currently on the forums, chapter 22 of Diary of a Country Girl, written by DaniRose2143. In this newest update, fall is fast approaching, Kya is growing up, and the family store is booming with business. Things are looking up for the little family as they discuss year-round plans for the shop and have slowly begun introducing Kya to their horses. If you need a slow yet heartwarming story to start your weekend with, make sure you’re all caught up with this newest chapter! 👶🏼🐎 Next we have a current work in progress build that I can’t wait to see completed, Anh & Gardo's house, created by SilverJanSims. So far for this build, we’ve got two fully furnished bedrooms decorated in a moody art deco style with elegant gold highlights, a magical forest themed pink playroom, and a warm and inviting earthy toned living room and kitchen. This colorful and trendy home will be well worth the wait, so be sure to check out the full build once it’s complete! 🌳🏡 Up next, we have a new generational gameplay challenge, MaasVerse Legacy Challenge: The Chronicle of Stars and Ashes, created by taniaaa_silvaaa . This challenge is based on the Throne of Glass book series, with 14 total generations to play through. Each generation focuses on a different character from the books, with challenges, backstory and aspirations specific to that character. So if you’ve always wanted a crossover between the MaasVerse and The Sims, this challenge is right up your alley! Give it a go and let us know how you did 📚📖 The One Month One World One Year Challenge has really taken this community by storm, so let’s catch up on another update from one of the shared gameplay stories, Tae Lee, by Shizu9no1. In this story, we are entering summer as Chiyo makes slow and steady progress towards earning her scout badges, Juwon preps to leave for military camp, and Tae preps a birthday bash surprise. Be sure to catch up on this and all the other amazing stories being shared, or join in on the fun and create your own! 🐈🐈🐈 And to finish us off this week, we’ve got another stunning entry for the Petite Alsace World Collaboration. Welcome to La Maison Blanche, created by whatsociallife, a charming riverside apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Relax outside in the courtyard garden to take in the beautiful river view, or cozy up in the large living room and enjoy a quiet book. This little apartment is filled with deep wood tones and warm shades of green and yellow, with plenty of space to add your own personal touches and decor. And if you’re interested in joining this World Collab, there’s still plenty of lots to claim, so grab them before they’re gone! 🏙️🏞️ And that’s all for this week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire397Views15likes14CommentsThe Weekly Grind - March 24, 2026
Welcome back to The Weekly Grind. Let’s get to it! What’s going on? Skate Paddy’s has ended and we’ve released update 0.30.2 to address some bugs and issues. Check the patch notes that dropped yesterday if you missed them. Keep sharing your bug/issues so we can squash ‘em flat. Our Dark Tricks video contest started on Friday, and you have until March 29 to submit your 15-30 second clip to be in the running to win 1 of 15 Year 5/pigeon decks, be featured on skate.Reel website, as well as be featured in our first “skate.Reel Video Vol 1”. Let’s dive right into the calendar. Weekly Calendar Update 0.30.2 Notes Update 0.30.2 is live! The Weekly Grind returns (that’s today) Dark Tricks Video Contest is live - and ends March 29, 2026, so get your 15-30 second clips in now via skate.REEL. Coming Up Isle of Grom Event: Open Access Blog (April 13) Isle of Grom Event: Open Access Event (April 14 - May 5) Update 0.30.5 (April 14) More content from the skate. community! As usual, we wanted to share a few pieces of content that caught our eye. Remember: if you want to possibly be featured in The Weekly Grind, make sure to share yours (screenshots, videos, clips) via skate.reel. Part of The Weekly Grind will be dedicated to sharing current Known Issues the team is tracking for bugs & issues, any active deployments/fixes, and next steps. Fixed in Update 0.30.2: Fixed an issue where popless flip tricks out of grinds can not be performed. Fixed an issue where grind exits on ledges frequently make the skater reattach to the grind. Fixed an issue that prevented some Achievements or Trophies from unlocking correctly. Fixed unintended Pop height and flip speed sensitivity changes. Fixed an issue where the Welcome and Starter Pack bundles in the store accidentally display strikethrough UI. Fixed an issue where players were reset in mid-air after repeatedly bouncing on Quick Drop Objects. Fixed an issue that prevented the the Barrel Jumper title from being awarded to subscribers who got the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Supercharge Pack 3, and PlayStation Plus Essentials Season 3 Play Pack. Developer’s Note: Anyone who’s already redeemed their Xbox or PlayStation subscription rewards will now see this title amongst their Rip Card options after updating skate. Fixed an issue for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One where doing a Held Flip trick mistakenly results in a double trick and then the board adjusts. Fixed an issue where changed settings would reset to their defaults. Developer’s Note: Due to a change in how we store settings, some settings were unintentionally changed in the Update 0.30.1. Players who were affected will need to readjust to their previous settings, but should not have to re-save after this update. With Update 0.30.2, this bug fix should more reliably save changes you make to settings. We’ll continue to monitor this fix closely. Players charged more than once for the Premium skate.Pass. Developer’s Note: We've pushed a back-end fix to stop the double-charge issue some players experienced when purchasing the skate.Premium Pass. We’ve processed refunds of the overcharge to those impacted. We've also added an error message to indicate if you hit this bug. Please reach out to us on the forums if you’re still experiencing this issue. Known Issues Still Being Investigated: Double grind glitches are harder to perform. The Green Machine title is missing from the inventory after being claimed. After purchasing many SVB packs, an error appears during checkout. Seasonal Challenges on Isle of Grom's map are displaying the wrong icon. Workaround: Restarting skate sometimes fixes all or some of the icons. The notification denoting when a friend comes online can randomly trigger multiple times. Rarely when players enter the Store tutorial, the Social Menu accidentally opens instead, and the controller becomes briefly unresponsive. The game sometimes crashes when a fourth player joins your Party. Scrolling through Session Type options in the Throwdowns menu causes descriptions to mismatch with the selections. When travelling as a party to the Isle of Grom, if the party leader has a menu open while the timer is ticking, the timer will get stuck at 0. Workaround: Canceling the queue will resolve this issue. Adjusting your video settings on PC can cause other settings to change. After accepting a skate. party invite via Xbox Live or PlayStation Network, the invite reappears after the player is already in the party they were invited to. Spin degrees in the trick feed are sometimes inaccurate. Graphical glitches are present in the UI on PCs using AMD GPUs. Workaround - AMD: Go to AMD's driver site and find your graphics card from the "Search or Browse Drivers" section. Click on "Previous Versions" and download the one labeled "Adrenalin 25.12.1." Download and Run the AMD Cleanup Utility. Reboot, and then run the Adrenalin 25.12.1 installer. Reboot again and launch the game.322Views2likes0CommentsFriday Highlights - March 20th
Sul Sul ! Today is the Spring Equinox 💮 The trees are starting to blossom, I spotted a couple of butterflies already, and Flower Bunny must be paying us a visit very soon... It will soon be time for the traditional Spring Cleaning, but it's also so tempting to just daze in the sun 🌞 Let’s recap what happened this week: On Tuesday there was a new base game update. You can catch up on the notes here. This new update also introduced The Sims Marketplace! If you're not sure what this is about, you can find all the details here! Father and son bonding time, posted here by Sindocat And now let’s jump into the Highlights: 🌌 Sometimes, it’s impossible to let go of a sim who passed away. This week, EnkiSchmidt is narrating Gavin’s Soul Journey and his return to the world of the living and his (hopefully) reunion with his partner Daniel and their children. Gavin is learning progressively how to achieve this goal, such as leveling up his charisma skills or giving back to the community, and getting closer (literally) to the house he once shared with Daniel. It might be a bumpy ride, but Gavin won't give up until he is reunited with his loved ones. Let’s wish him the best of luck and let’s keep a close eye on his adventures! 📚 We have a new chapter of JesLet40's story challenge Creek Tales - A Pack Legacy. Christmas, Willow’s daughter, is leaving forever the toddlers days and celebrates her birthday. She grows up as a curious child and starts making new experiences such as fishing or joining the Scouts, which gives Willow a bit more time to herself to focus on her work, even though seeing her little girl growing up is always bittersweet. On Sandy’s side, she celebrates completing her life Aspiration as well as good news from her job, while her son Sunny is about to become a teenager. Everything seems to be going well so far for the family and for the challenge! ☄️ It only took thirteen years for StephSteb to experience it more than once, but it’s never too late: a meteor finally hit a very unlucky member of the active family. What a way to go... 😬 And just after getting married too! Luckily, this poor sim had been saved before the unfortunate incident, so she’s getting a second shot at life. Maybe it’s a hint that she should play the lottery! Have you ever had a meteor strike one of your sims before? Did you manage to save them like StephSteb did or did let the story unfold? The other sims will have a hell of a story to tell at parties… 🎃 Spring may have just started, but did you also know that Halloween is only 225 days away? For the occasion, froggy2747 is sharing a very nice treat with the Sweet Surprise build, a cosy Halloween cafe and communal area for everyone to enjoy. Your sims can enjoy a nice mug of tea or hot chocolate while grabbing a book from one of the many shelves. The place is also perfect for children as they can have fun with the Halloween-themed playground and admire the beautiful pumpkins and scarecrows. It’s never too early to plan for Spooky Season, so make sure to check out this build if you’re interested! 👑 PaxxieLovesDinos is releasing the newest chapter of Around the World Legacy, where Lis has been invited to join the ranks of the Young Nobles, a very exclusive club, which could help her opening more opportunities. Lis is stunned by the beautiful ballroom as she learns how to waltz, sword fighting, and all the proper etiquette. After a discussion with her friend Aeris about the Young Nobles club, Lis plans to celebrate Harvestfest with her friend Arabella, but there might be a lot of planning required, such as cooking a seemingly unlimited amount of different dishes… Hopefully she will be able to tackle this and enjoy the festivities, but we’ll have to wait for the next chapter to find out! And that concludes another week! Have a great weekend, and see you soon! 🤗 Cath683Views16likes15CommentsFriday Highlights - March 6th
Sul Sul friends! It’s finally March, which means we are slowly but surely heading towards Spring! This weekend, we are also celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8th. So I wanted to give a shoutout to EA_Solaire for all her hard work here, and to all the ladies of the Sims communities for your passion and dedication, for all the beautiful builds and inspiring challenges, and the tech and in-game knowledge you share with us! 💫 (Sorry, there are too many of you to tag!!) What about you, who are the women that inspire you in your life? 🤗 Before we start, see what you missed this week: On Thursday, we announced that the applications are now open for the Maker Program. Make sure to check out all the details here! A playful time with the Cheshire Cat and Dinah... posted here by lanlynk Let’s see what exciting highlights await us! ⚕️ Wait, wait! Before we start, 5782341b77vl needs to do a quick check-up: have you been playing too much of The Sims recently? For example, do you hear the game soundtrack even when you’re not playing? Is Simlish starting to make more sense than your native language? You might also be experiencing other symptoms, such as trying to spin to change your outfit, or humming the Buy Mode music when going shopping. If that’s the case, you might be afflicted with the PTMS (Playing-Too-Much-Sims) condition. Recently, I have been checking out dishes from the game to give me inspiration for my own recipes (luckily, I haven't set my kitchen on fire… yet). To properly diagnose this very serious affliction, we need your help listing all possible side effects, so make sure to share in the original thread if you are experiencing a case of PTMS symptoms 🤭 🎁 You know what rhymes with Friday? Giveaway! And if you missed simgirl1010’s last week, don’t worry because luthienrising has you covered with a giveaway of one of the latest kits, Wonderland Playroom or Yard Charm. To participate, simply reply on the thread before March 7th and just write down which pack you would like to win. Yard charm looks great, but as an indoor type of person (in real-life and in-game), I can’t wait to start decorating my bedrooms with the beautiful items 🐰♟️ Good luck to everyone who participates! 🏙️ I don’t know you, but I love extra long videos: they’re perfect to leave in the background while cooking, eating, doing a hobby, or even while playing The Sims! So if you have extra time on your hands, grab a cup of tea and watch this detailed video of karritz’s Perfect Genetics Challenge as we explore the third generation of sims and the world they live in, which is inspired by the fictional town of Vice City 🍵 ⛪ Itzmee14 is coming back to the game after a long absence, and what a comeback - the title says it all: I built a huge cathedral! St Agnes Cathedral is indeed massive, and the details are simply stunning, it’s hard to put it into words… Players’ creativity simply has no limits. The build is inspired by different real-world cathedrals, and the name St Agnes is honoring our favourite grumpy old lady, Agnes Crumplebottom. This would be a perfect addition to your game, whether you need it for your kingdom, a sumptuous wedding, or just to add a bit of architectural variety to your world. Make sure to check out the beautiful pictures yourself and admire the hard work! 🔮 Finally, if you like to watch challenges unfolding in real time, JesLet40 is just starting Gen 2 of the Pack Legacy Challenge. In this challenge, you start with the base game, and add up one pack of your choice with each new generation, who will be in charge of exploring as many new additions as possible (check out the rules for all the details if you’d like to start your own challenge!). In this new chapter, Willow is still trying to reverse the curse put on her mother with the addition of the Enchanted by Nature pack, which is putting a lot of pressure on her. Neo’s relationship with Malik is following its course, and Sandy is throwing a birthday party for Sunny. Let’s hope that Willow is successful in finding a cure and helps her mom regain a bit of sanity! And that concludes another week of highlights! Have a fantastic weekend folks, and see you soon! This once beloved Dynasty has suffered a fall from grace and now the newest generation must work to restore their legacy and earn back the trust of their people. But will they succeed? And will they be able to keep their ancient bloodline a secret, or will they finally be exposed? Your only rule is no editing the exterior walls, and no CC allowed. You’ll have until the end of March to submit your builds for this challenge, be sure to get started and show off your artistic talents! 🏗️🚧 There’s nothing that scares me more than the fast approaching Texas summer heat, so let’s get even more spooked with this new challenge - The Dead Zone Challenge, created by Hearts_For_All. For this challenge, you’ll be trying to survive 1 of 3 different apocalyptic scenarios- Devastation, Destruction, or Desolation. Each scenario has specific lot challenges, traits and goals that you’ll need to work towards with various rewards you can unlock along the way. If you think you can survive, be sure to try out this choose your own adventure style challenge! 🧟☢️ And that’s all for another wonderful week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire666Views25likes19CommentsThe Weekly Grind - March 3, 2026
Welcome back to The Weekly Grind. Let’s get to it! What’s going on? Spring Pop-Off has ended, and we’ve got a week before Season 3 starts. We shared a clip of darkslides on Monday, with more details on Season 3 coming this week (Season 3 blog drops Thursday, March 5, 2026) like updated Replay Editor features, a new skateable area, the return to Isle of Grom, a new mode, and more. We’ve compiled our Show Your Fit screenshot Winners, and we’ll share them below (and they’ll be showing up on skate.reel soon). Weekly Calendar Darkslides Preview on Monday The Weekly Grind returns (that’s today) World Improvments Preview (also today) Season 3 Blog Coming Up Update 0.30.0 Patch Notes Season 3 drops March 10, 2026 Check the Dark slides clip again if you missed it. We mentioned that darkslides and dark catches have been improved since previous games, heres an example of what we fixed in skate. vs skate 3. The board rotation didn't always match the trick into dark slide or catch in skate 3, so now you'll actually get the full trick before catching dark. And the World Improvements we shared earlier today. As usual, we wanted to share a few pieces of content that caught our eye. Remember: if you want to possibly be featured in The Weekly Grind, make sure to share yours (screenshots, videos, clips) via skate.reel. While we love highlighting content from the community (via Discord, Reddit, etc.), we’ll use this space to share the Show Your Fit screenshot contest winners’ pics. Show Your Fit Screenshot WINNERS (currently getting shipping info and will be sending the decks out this week; clips should be up on skate.REEL soon) YT-KAGE HelenaHerewauld Part of The Weekly Grind will be dedicated to sharing current Known Issues the team is tracking for bugs & issues, any active deployments/fixes, and next steps. To Be Fixed in the Coming Weeks: There is an additional stuttering issue present when using the replay editor in-game, noticeable as skipped frames. Progression and rewards for some completed Tasks fail to apply to the player's account. Workaround: Restarting skate fixes this issue, but your Task progress may be lost. The player needs to press the Back button two times for the missions menu to close. The Score with Sequences and Modified Grabs daily and weekly task does not appear for some players and cannot be progressed. Transferring from one Challenge to a Co-op Challenge via invite sometimes results in server disconnection. The Throwdowns queue timer freezes after all other players leave the queue. Lip color and Board Stickers are invisible when running a NVIDIA card on driver 591.44 or newer. Skaters are unintentionally pulled into random co-op challenges. The player gets into a menu state while any narrative VO line triggers with subtitles off. Tweaking skate's. graphical settings can cause the fullscreen resolution to switch to 640x480. Workaround: Rename the %localappdata%\skate\data folder or delete the folders that have numbers in that folder tree. Rarely, when interacting with a player and joining their party, you will accidentally join another player’s party. The Friends fails to load completely on accounts with large amounts of friends. All footplant tricks are incorrectly named when in Regular stance. Known Issues Still Being Investigated: The notification denoting when a friend comes online can randomly trigger multiple times. Visual effects details for the Blaze Costume are missing from the Extravert shop and character menus. Developer's Note: To activate the Blaze Costume's visual effects, you must hit the 4x multiplier in a line. Reboot again and launch the game. Event challenge criteria sometimes fail to update after completion. Sometimes, putting the game on fullscreen and leaving it minimized for three or four minutes will prevent the player from re-opening it until the game is restarted. Community Park tasks sometimes won’t count if you log out while within a Community Park and log back in. Workaround: Use any Fast Travel point and then return to the Community Park. The speech-to-text feature does not transcribe the words correctly.994Views3likes0CommentsBattlefield 6 - Community Update - Season 2 Reactions and BR Solos Testing
Hey everyone, Season 2 released recently, and it’s been great seeing so many of you jump into Contaminated and take to the skies with the Little Bird. We’ve been closely reading your feedback from the first days of the season and want to take a moment to acknowledge some of the initial reactions we’ve seen, while also looking ahead at what’s planned for the next phase of Season 2 and beyond. Season 2 Initial Reactions We’ve seen a lot of positive reactions to Contaminated. Many of you have called out the sandbox variety, flanking routes, and vehicle interplay as some of the best experiences you’ve had so far in Battlefield 6. The feedback is incredibly encouraging, and we can’t wait to deliver even more. Combat flow is a crucial part of every BF6 map, and Contaminated is no exception. Based on feedback, we expanded the available airspace to give pilots more room to maneuver while keeping ground combat readable and balanced. So far, we are seeing great reactions to this adjustment, and we’ll continue to monitor how engagements evolve so we can apply those learnings to future maps. Looking beyond, larger-scale experiences remain an important part of expanding Battlefield 6. We are continuing to test Golmud Railway in Battlefield Labs as one of our most ambitious large-scale maps for this game. Our focus is not just scale, but also ensuring it delivers strong vehicle depth and consistent pacing across the full playspace. BF Labs allows us to fine-tune these elements with players before bringing them into the live experience. The time leading up to Season 2 allowed us to prioritize improvements to the quality of our updates, with additional effort focused on strengthening the overall experience. We are iterating our processes along with the game to deliver the best content possible as we move forward. When you log in on day one of a season, we want the experience to feel polished, cohesive, and respectful of how you choose to play — whether that’s a specific map, mode, or Portal experience. Additional topics we’re monitoring: Movement: Movement impacts every layer of gameplay, and updates here need to be deliberate and measured. With other gameplay systems evolving alongside it, we want to evaluate how the overall combat experience settles before making further changes. Progression: Season 2 introduced improvements, but this topic remains an active and ongoing discussion internally. We’re closely tracking how the Season 2 changes are landing and gathering data on how players engage with different paths. Our goal is for the time you invest — regardless of mode or playstyle — to feel rewarding and fair. We share more details on additional progression changes later in this update. Portal: Previously, we intentionally delayed adding new hardware to the SDK to allow additional time for stabilization and bug fixes. This included delaying the addition of the Little Bird (AH-6M), which will be added to the SDK in a future update. We’re currently reevaluating this approach for future seasons, so while this may not always be possible, our goal is to support new hardware in Portal as soon as it launches. Portal: We’ve received reports of latency (rubber banding) in some player-made experiences. Our investigation shows that having more than 40 vehicles in an experience can cause unnecessary lag. This includes vehicles that are spawned but not actively in use. Another alteration we've seen that improves latency is having the player count lowered from 64. We are continuing to investigate long-term solutions while also working to improve overall performance. We’ll also be sharing a dedicated blog soon that takes a deeper look at ongoing quality-of-life improvements, including hit registration, Netcode, time-to-kill tuning, soldier visibility, and audio updates. New Ways to Experience Battlefield Limited-Time Modes are one of the ways we keep Battlefield feeling fresh and full of new ways to play. They allow us to introduce new mechanics, environmental twists, and sandbox variations that expand how combat unfolds, whether that’s changing visibility, reshaping engagement ranges, or adding new tactical considerations. With VL-7 Smoke, we introduced a new layer of battlefield control and area denial. As reactions could vary, we made sure players had the option to experience it in dedicated playlists or continue playing without it. Supporting different ways to play is important to us. Some of you leaned into the added chaos, while others preferred the classic experience, and we want Battlefield to provide room for both. Not every LTM is meant to become permanent, but each one expands the toolbox. When an idea resonates strongly with the community, we have the flexibility to bring it back, iterate on it, evolve it, or integrate elements into the broader Battlefield experience. The Freeze mechanic introduced during Winter Offensive is one example. While the event itself was time-limited, the mechanic now lives on in Portal, allowing players to continue experimenting with it. This evolution is part of how we want to keep Battlefield 6 innovative and fun. What’s Coming in Nightfall Nightfall shifts the battlefield in a way that changes how you move, how you communicate, and how you read the battlefield. With darkness rolling in on a new map, sightlines shrink, audio becomes more important, and squad coordination matters more than ever. Night vision goggles, featured on our roadmap, introduce a new layer of tactical decision making. It creates a different kind of tension, one that feels tactical and immersive, and we’re excited to see how you step into the dark. On top of that, there are a number of key improvements arriving alongside the Nightfall update. Progression Progression has been a consistent topic of discussion. We’ve continued monitoring data and reviewing your experiences, and it’s clear that certain parts of progression, particularly within Weapon Mastery, are taking too long to feel rewarding. With the next phase of this season, we’re introducing targeted adjustments aimed at smoothing the overall progression pacing and reducing unnecessary grind. Weapon Mastery progression will feel faster and more consistent. We’ve tuned the Mastery XP curve to smooth out attachment unlock pacing, increased the rate at which sidearms rank up so they align more closely with primary weapons, and moved camo unlocks earlier so cosmetic rewards arrive sooner in your progression journey. These adjustments build on the progression updates introduced at the start of the season. We will continue to evaluate how these changes land across different modes and playstyles, with further refinements later in the season. Ping System We’ve heard your feedback that the current ping system can feel cluttered and hard to read in intense moments. Clear communication is critical in Battlefield, and we want pings to feel intuitive and reliable. With our next update, we’re addressing an issue where enemies spotted using the Recon Drone would not consistently remain marked for squad members. In some cases, the spot would briefly appear and then disappear even when visibility was maintained. This fix ensures drone spotting behaves more reliably and remains visible when appropriate. Later in the season, we’re planning broader refinements to the ping system focused on improving clarity, reducing visual noise, and strengthening squad readability. These updates are aimed at making communication faster and easier to interpret without changing the core feel of squad coordination. Looking further ahead, we’re continuing to evolve this system with improvements to how pings are prioritized, how responsive they feel, and how they are presented. We’ll share more details as those changes get closer to release. REDSEC Following Extreme Measures, we’ve continued reviewing sentiment around loot flow and late-game survivability in REDSEC. The next phase of updates includes targeted resource adjustments alongside an underground expansion to the map. Fort Lyndon is expanding beneath the surface with a new underground point-of-interest, permanently introducing a new combat space. This area is expected to become a key hotspot and we’re looking forward to seeing how players adapt their tactics around it. With our next update, this location will temporarily feature higher-tier loot to spotlight the new POI. Updated chest visuals and a new icon will help indicate rewards tiers. To access this area, look for green smoke marking the entrances. These visual indicators and enhanced loot are specific to this update and will evolve as the season progresses. Also in the next update, Weapons Caches previously accessible only through Missions will become lootable containers once missions are disabled. These will offer stronger rewards, including four armor plates, to ensure more reliable access to resources as matches progress. Air Strikes will also be rebalanced as part of this update. Most will be found in the new POI or earned as Mission Rewards, with significantly reduced availability in standard containers across the map. We will also resolve an issue where anti-vehicle crates could spawn without loot inside. Later in the season, we plan to introduce a new Armor Drop Strike Package to provide additional defensive options in late-game scenarios. We’re also enhancing the Ammo Drop by increasing its ammunition supply and adding armor plates. In addition, additional armor plates will replace grenades in MRAPVs and Safes to further improve armor availability. These updates are intended to smooth late-game pacing and reduce situations where players feel under-equipped in final engagements. We will continue to make adjustments to REDSEC throughout this season and beyond as we evaluate how these changes impact overall match flow. Battle Royale Solos Testing Coming To Latest Update You’ve been asking for a way to drop into Battle Royale solo, no squadmates, no backup, just you. During the weekend of March 6-9, we’ll be introducing BR solos inside a new Battlefield Labs section within the live game, available to all players. BF Labs can take different forms depending on what we’re testing. For BR solos, having a Battlefield Labs section in the live game allows us to evaluate the experience at scale with as many players as possible. Our goals are to gather feedback and assess how REDSEC’s pacing, balance, and tension hold up in a true one-versus-everyone format. This mode is experimental and subject to change. After your matches, you’ll be able to share your thoughts through a survey that’s accessible from the main menu. You can also discuss the mode in our official Battlefield Discord, where you can connect with other players and share your thoughts. Here’s how BR solos will differ from Quads and Duos: No squad revives or redeploy towers. Second Chance remains enabled. Missions are adjusted for single-player completion, with tuned rewards. Class Training Path XP requirements have been adjusted to scale appropriately for a single-player experience. Vehicles, including tanks, remain enabled for this test. Part of this is to understand how combat vehicles impact pacing and late-game balance in a solo environment. We’ll be closely reviewing feedback around missions, vehicle balance, class training perks, and overall feel. Please note that some UI elements and voice-over lines will still reference squad-based language. Due to recording and localization timelines, not all VO has been adapted for Solo play in this test build. As this part of Battlefield Labs is available in the live game, there is no NDA for this test. Players are free to stream, share clips, and discuss their experience throughout the test window. Drop in solo, test your limits, and let us know how it feels. Your feedback will help shape what comes next. We can’t wait to see how you take on the challenge and we’re looking forward to hearing what you think when it goes live on March 6. Sul Sul friends! Another week done, it's time for the Friday Highlights! How is your trip in Ondarion going? Is everything going smoothly, or is chaos ensuing in the realm? I want to know all about your court dramas 🍵 Check out what’s new: Only one news this week, with the latest epatch that was released on Thursday. Make sure to update your game, and you can find the patch notes here! A quiet night in Verdemar, posted here by Simmerville And now, it's time for the highlights! 🤭 Let’s kick it off with a classic Did You know Thread on Royalty & Legacy started by catloverplayer , who has been sharing the most important information, which is that cats can wear crowns (yay!). Lots of you are also sharing fun facts about the new pack, such as discovering the hidden notes scattered around the new neighborhoods, or the fact that both female and male sim can wear glass slippers (can we talk about how uncomfortable a glass slipper would be in real life for a second?). There are plenty more interesting bits about the game so I strongly encourage you to check it out directly, and make sure to share your fun discoveries with the pack! 💭 If you have been playing with Royalty & Legacy lately, you might have had some fun with picking Dynasty Values, mixing and matching, and checking which ones work the best (or the worst!). So HollownessDevour is asking you what is your Dynasty Set up and what kind of results did you get, after noticing that a lot of skills related to nature (like gardening, or natural living) pair very well with the Nature-Loving ideals, and are very effective for gaining Prestige ✍️ If you need some inspiration or are not sure what to pick and what to expect, this thread will be perfect to get you started. And if you have picked different sets of options, make sure to share those with us and let us know how that went (especially if it went terrible!). 🏰 This week, come discover Cevans1962’s beautiful Forteresse de Pierre, a French Country style family home located in Windenburg. This build includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a spacious open kitchen and living room. You will also find other neat amenities such as a little office space, a nice terrace to relax, and a fitness and yoga studios located in the towers. Most rooms are decorated with white and light-coloured floors and walls with pops of black, brown and grey. The children's bedrooms are the only exception, with colourful and cute items. From an outside perspective, the house is simply stunning with the stone walls and the tower at the side! Make sure to check out all the details, and you can download it from the Gallery if you think that this could be a fine addition to your game! 📖 Next up, belalucina is picking up an older story that was started a couple years ago: The Girl Who Fell Between Worlds - April’s Story 2.0. The plot is set in Strangerville, where April joined the military and met her colleague Ted, to investigate curious cases of missing sims. After finding all the missing people and revealing the culprit, April was also suspecting that General Grunt has been behind some shady business. Before she could follow this lead, she was brought to a different timeline and woke up with little memories of her past. This first chapter follows April navigating in this new and yet familiar universe as she tries to remember what happened to her. If you’re in look for a next mystery story, this one looks very promising! Stay tuned for the next chapters! Finally, Tamijo1444 has a few chapters up of their new story, Yamamoto & the Orphanage. The story originally starts with Masaki Yamamoto, who emigrated from Japan with her husband. After his passing, she moved to Appaloosa and now lives with her son Yasuhito, her daughter-in-law Hana and her grand-children. The town also includes an orphanage with a couple of children, handled by Erin Scholler and Nicklaus Butler. With full autonomy on, all those sims are basically creating their own story! Will they make the wisest choices, or will they try to figure out things as they come? Will Nicklaus keep getting into shady activities? Will Yasuhito’s and Hana’s couple make it to the end? And will the children at the orphanage learn to clean their plates? Time will tell, but in the meantime, we’ll be happy to follow each character’s adventures! And that concludes another week! As always it was a pleasure, have a great weekend folks and happy simmin! Dag dag ✌️ Cath408Views20likes11Comments
