Happy Halloween everyone! What kind of ghoulish plans have you made? I haven’t had time to carve a pumpkin this year, so I got the next best thing: a big pumpkin plushie! 🎃 What about you? Specifically, the sim is in the influencer career, and the dynasty she is part of doesn’t see this career as a proper job. Despite this, everyone still treats the sim very well, which is not what we want when we’re looking for drama in our game! So, would any of you have any tips to get the other members of the dynasty to dislike illustratedbliss’ sim, and create proper chaos? How would that gorgeous sim get on everybody’s nerves all at once? Make sure to share your most chaotic ideas to help out a fellow simmer 🤪 📚 In the new chapter of The Greens and the Wolves by Woods0604 , Violet and Don have plenty to do after the birth of baby Emmett! Violet hosts a nice gathering for Halloween and teaches baby Emmett to walk, while Don, probably in the height of a mid-life crisis after celebrating his birthday, goes on to a secret date 😱 Nothing came of it luckily, and Don and Violet went on a proper date after to make up (my advice for Violet: don’t forgive him so easily!). Well at least it would have been a nice break for the new parents. There were 31 different spooky challenges and tasks to complete, some more difficult than others. Well let’s give a big round of applause to ManicPot8to for completing all the parts two days early! 👏 From falling in love with Grim to throwing a party where everything goes wrong while also building cemeteries and end of the world bunkers, this must have been some frightening amount of work, well done for the commitment! Make sure to catch up on everybody’s terrifying submissions in the thread! 🏰 What better than a castle build set in the middle of the dark forest for the Halloween season? littlebluecoco has built an incredible palace called The Gnome’s Trial set in Henford-on-Bagley that you should definitely take a look at! This spooky castle includes a basement, a first floor with a dining room, as well as a garden room on the second floor. There are so many details to catch such as the numerous towers, the bridge taking you towards the front door… If you were looking for a new build for your Vampires or Werewolves, this should work perfectly 🧛 👻 Finally, let's end those higihlights with this Spooky Season thread started by soocoolsim for our Sims 3 players to display their most nightmarish creations. Sul Sul my lovelies! It’s finally Friday, and almost time to enjoy a quiet and relaxing weekend. We’ve got only 8 days left until Halloween- are you all prepped and ready? It’ll be my daughter’s first year trick or treating, and this year she’s picked an Elmo costume 🥰 Just a bit of news for this week: On Tuesday, the latest Laundry List dropped and gave us a sneak peek at some of the upcoming fixes in the next base game update. This update is going to be a big one, so be sure to take a look at what will be included here! Tuesday also brought us another action packed Discord Dev Drop-In, where we discussed some of these very exciting fixes with a few of our members of the Quality of Life team. Summer is the season of spending time outdoors, vacations, BBQs and swimming, but it’s no secret that summer holidays are a bit lacking. Well dbmcgrew is looking to change that by adding a custom Summer themed holiday into their game’s calendar. A summer holiday to me feels like a day at the beach or lake, picnics and drinks, and end with a nice bonfire. But if you were to create a custom Summer holiday, what would you celebrate, and what traditions would you add? And how would you decorate? For this collab, you’ll be working to recreate some of the console exclusive worlds like Moonlight Bay, Sugar Maple Coast, and River’s Bend to bring these worlds, lots, and households to PC. This collab sounds like quite the project, and I am very eager to see the end results. So who’s ready to jump in and get started? 🌏🛠️ If World building isn’t your thing for The Sims 3, this brand new World build, Khan Steppe, created by CharcoalSims may be a bit more up your alley. This large custom world is inspired by a rural Mongolian village and is paved with dirt roads and vast open plains. While this world is built for nomads, it does include 14 residential lots, and 36 commercial lots, including a consignment store, a library, a market, and even festival grounds. So if your Sim is ready to leave the bustling city life behind for something a bit slower, this new world is just for you! 🐎⛺🏞️ And finally, it’s been a long week, so let’s pause for a minute to just enjoy this very cute cat that Whovian27 recently discovered in the Gallery. This is a survival challenge where the wishing well decides who gets to live, and who… doesn’t 👹 Sounds like a perfect match for Spooky Season! You should start off on a deserted island if possible, or any other empty lot. Every Friday, a new ritual begins to determine if one of the sims will be turned into a ghost or not. The challenge ends if you run out of adult sims or if your babies are taken away by Social Services. That seems like a tough challenge to pull through, so let us know about your progress if you decide to give this one a try!! 📔 One of my favourite things to read in the forums are comic-based stories, and ManicPot8to has a great one in store with the Newlywed Knots & Parenthood Plots. Tommy and Claudia are about to get married soon and we are following them into the wedding preparations, up until the ceremony. But will everything go as planned? Is Claudia going to be ok to share her fries with Tommy for the rest of her life? And will the guests bother to sit at the ceremony or will they stand around to ruin the pictures? 😠 Make sure to catch up and to follow the adventures of this chaotic couple 🤭 💘 Now here is a different challenge from the previous one, with its similar share of chaos: the Hooked on Hank Challenge by GLovely1. Hank Hunk, your handsome and friendly neighbour, needs to father 5 babies with 5 different sims while taking on all the responsibilities that come with it all by himself. The idea is simple: Hank must take care of all of his offspring, but also of his finances, house, and mental health. The execution might be more… well… chaotic! So go on, give it a try and let’s see how your Hank gets on with this new adventure 👨👧👦 🐎 The build of the week is brought to you by designergoose8 with a unique small business idea, Cowboy Town. If you’re looking to recreate the Western atmosphere, this would be the perfect addition as it includes a Saloon with an apartment at the top, the Sheriff’s office (with a holding cell, of course), as well as a tattoo parlor, a cafe and a souvenir shop. The shells and decorations are really well made, it truly looks like a place from a different time, and I’m sure that your sims will be having a blast at this location as there is plenty to do and to see! Grim Reaper is a big softie after all! posted here, by jn196465 Now if you dare, let's check out the highlights! 🌃 Let’s get right in the mood for Spooky Season with the Ravenwood Curse challenge by 41978edb529afc77 ! This is a 7-generation horror legacy challenge which includes supernatural elements, mysteries, and a cursed item of your choice. Each of your generation will have to move to a different world, complete specific objectives, and pass the mysterious cursed item to the next generation. There is a twist in this challenge, so you can avoid it or you can already take a look at the final challenge's description. The most important thing to remember is that you’re still playing this challenge your own way so everyone will have a unique story or outcome! I can’t wait to see what you come up with 👻🌑 💬 Next, SimulationBuilds is asking what gameplay or feature systems you like most in the game. Some of you like Aspirations because it gives you a goal to achieve, similarly to the lot challenges. It’s also great to have different options for our sims to make money, such as earning royalties for their published books, or by setting up a small business. I’m very basic when it comes to my games so I like to keep it simple, and for that I need my trusted cheats to get instantly rich or bring back all of my sims’ needs in the green in the blink of an eye 😆 What about you, which features from the game are your favourite? 🤓 🗨️ Another great discussion from kukkahilla , asking this time how much do we help our sims in their daily lives. Do you help them around the house, putting away dirty dishes and leftovers, replacing burnt or broken appliances… or do you let your sims handle all the chores? 🛁 I love that nearly everyone in the thread will have different opinions when it comes to plates or repairing items, but everyone makes sure to put the leftovers in the fridge yourselves (nobody likes wasting food!!). I usually let my sims do their own cleaning unless it gets too messy. I spent enough time cleaning my own house, so they can take the time to put the dishes in the dishwasher 😄 🏡 For this week’s build, penguinwa101 has been sharing their newest build after coming back into the game, The Kokomo. Perfect for a single sim or a couple, The Kokomo includes everything you need: a wide living room, a spacious open kitchen, and a master bedroom with a bathroom. The house is a lovely yellow colour, as well as a large porch. At the back, you’ll find a barbecue for the summer lunches or dinners. This would be a great addition near a beach or set in the desert. 🌴 Make sure to check out this charming house for more details, or if you think it would be a perfect addition to your game 🤗 Finally if you have been following The Sims 3’s Petite Alsace world collaboration, the wrap up is currently in progress and we already got a first video tour showcasing some of the builds by soocoolsim ! While this house is still a work in progress, it’s already quite impressive with several stately staircases, marbled chef’s kitchen, and large formal dining room. Outside, you’ll find a children’s playground, a two-story greenhouse, and a private crypt to honor the passed family members. Even though this build isn’t quite finished, it’s already shaping up to be quite a manor, and I can’t wait to see the finished product! 🥀🖤 This week we have a brand new chapter to dive into for the long running gameplay story, Creek Tales, written by JesLet40. Link, Harmony and Daisy are finally settling into their new home in Brindleton Bay. Spring has just arrived, and as Harmony focuses on growing her garden, Daisy keeps herself busy by exploring the dating pool, and Link gets the chance of a lifetime to own his very own vet clinic. But will he be able to pull the money together in time to buy the clinic? Will she find the answer in her blossoming romance with Venessa? Sul Sul! Happy Friday! So far it looks like it’s going to be a wet weekend here, ideal to pick up a new book from my never-ending to-read pile. What about you, what are your plans for the weekend? True love never dies, posted here by sillyangel0906 Time to jump into the highlights! 🌴 It’s not Spooky Season everywhere, so let’s extend the Summer vibes with littlebluecoco’s sunny Desert Ranch. It is a unique type of architecture, with Adobe-style houses with their flat roofs and earthy tan colours, very reminiscent of old cowboy movies with the mountains in the background! You will find a main building, and a seperate complex that includes stables and a couple of shaded parking spots (we're in the desert after all!). There is also a nicely stocked cellar, so you can relax after a busy day taking care of the horses 🤭 Make sure to check out this lovely build if you think it'll be a good fit for your game 🐎 Things have been busy in jn196465’s household: lately, Natasha graduated high school and attended prom where she had a great time. She also became a young adult, and with this comes new responsibilities such as finding a job… and she is doing great as she already reached Level 4 of her Criminal Career 😆 Meanwhile, Luca has aged up and was about to potentially enter an artist career… until he suddenly died of embarrassment 😱 Luckily after a bit of pleading and a death frog offering, Reaper became reasonable and Luca came back to life. If Luca likes drama, maybe he could look into the acting career 🎥 Next, UberDrew1 has been working on Komorebi’s Imperial Shrine-Palace, which incorporates a traditional pagoda shrine, a wedding chapel, and a cemetery for memorials. This unique lot combines different architecture styles and traditions, and everything blends in together so perfectly! On top of the three main buildings, you will also find a wide entrance surrounded by tori gates (see how I flex my knowledge of Japanese architecture? it’s literally the only word that I know), a pond as well as a couple of green areas. There are so many elements it’s hard to describe everything and pay justice to the build, so make sure to check out the pictures yourself 😍 Truly an extraordinary build for an extraordinary Empress! 🏯 📸 Do you like random or out of context screenshots? In that case you will love LonaBoom’s Sims 3 Screenshot Collection, which compiles older and newer moments of the sims’ daily shenanigans. We also get front pages of mock-up magazines if you’d like to catch up on the latest town’s gossip. The latest screenshots give us a glimpse of sim Erin Kennedy as she goes on a date with her crush and is shocked to see him there (well he showed up, so that’s a good start!), and my favourite screen of a sim completely shushing another one for seemingly no reason 🙃 I’ll be sure to check out this thread on the regular for more random and chaotic scenes 🤭 Finally, we got more chapters for OrangeYambles’s Sovereign Hunt, where the fae Santino and his friends where they have to compete under the surveillance of a Vampires council. In the latest developments, Santino discovers he has been signed into the Hunt without his knowledge, and makes some connections with the other contestants. He also tries to get some information from Micah, one of the jurors, and I feel like something could potentially happen between those two 👀👀 So let’s get into the Spooky Season mood by catching up on the chapters and let’s wait patiently for the rest!! 🧛🦇 And that concludes another week of highlights! So give them your best makeover and share your final creations with us! 👗💅💄 For this week’s build, we have an absolutely gorgeous Victorian style home, created by froggy2747. The house was originally designed for a shell challenge and is quite the glow up. This little Victorian home includes 3 bedrooms, a small study, a formal sitting room, and library. With a signature wrap-around porch, circular turrets, and a traditional closed floor plan, this house is peak Victorian charm. Outside you’ll find a gorgeous garden covered in hydrangeas and bougainvillea, perfect for hosting a formal tea party or even an elegant outdoor wedding. No matter what the occasion, you’ll definitely want to check this home out for yourself! 🪻🫖🍵 But that’s not all! We’ve got another Victorian style build, but this one is a little more run down. Henford Orphanage, created by SimulationBuilds was once a warm and bustling orphanage but now sits abandoned and derelict on the edge of town. According to legend, the orphanage is still occupied by the spirits of the children and their caretaker, and if you listen hard enough at night you can still hear creaking floors and faint screams in the wind. Think you’re brave enough to investigate? Enter if you dare… 😱🕸️🏚️ This week we got an update to an old favorite of mine in the charming gameplay story Tusnelda and Trix, written by MonaSolstraale. This newest chapter is all about moving on as Katrina hits things off with Sam, Rasmus and Izumi find some time for each other, Don tries to get his spark back, and Fatima and Elijah search for a new home. On my end, I have been focused on preparing my house for Fall, but I may have gone overboard with the decorations as I don’t have enough shelves or walls to display it all… first world problems. On September 2nd, we were celebrating The Sims 4's birthday! 🤩🎉 simgirl1010 wants to know what are your favourite Sims 4 moments and memories, so make sure to share all of those in the threads! I’ve always loved the pets packs in The Sims, so I was absolutely delighted when they came out with Cats & Dogs 😻 I don’t have time to play like before, so now I love seeing other people’s creativity through builds, challenges, stories, fanarts and more. The Sims 4 is like a tool or art box, and it’s awesome to see how differently people are using it. Never stop sharing your creativity folks, that’s what makes us unique and humans! 🤸 What’s best in Autumn than enjoying a nice walk and some fresh air? jn196465 has you and your sims sorted out with the ranch of Red Roan Field! This ranch includes a main building that houses four bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect for a large family or if you plan on having regular guests. The other building includes stables that can house up to three horses, and they also include upstairs apartments for the staff. You will also find a nice little pond on the lot as well as a greenhouse in the back. And don’t worry, everything is working as intended as Mr Don Gooseman and horse Duke kindly helped to test out the build 👨🌾🐴 Not an outdoor person? In that case, you might enjoy SimulationBuilds's House & Coffee Shop, perfect for dark and rainy autumn days 🍂 The build stands out with a lovely peachy-colour outside and inside, bringing instantly a warming atmosphere. The coffee shop part is very cosy with red bricks wall and red carpets and contrasting blue curtains. The rest of the build includes a kitchen and living room, perfect to sit out with a book and cup of tea. This would be a perfect build to turn into a Small Business Residential lot if your sim feels like kicking off their barista career! Right now, I would give everything to sit there on a rainy day with a nice cup of mocha ⛈️☕ In need of inspiration for your Sims 3 builds? I am loving Pink Beach Hut, an adorable pink starter house idea for a smaller household who wants to live by the sea 🌊 But I also have to highlight the Golden Stirrup Farmhouse, better suited for a bigger family who wants to live in the countryside, with spacious rooms and a lot of land 👨🌾🏡 So whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll probably find what you’re looking for! Finally, OrangeYambles has been releasing a new chapter for The Sovereign Hunt, a story created thanks to Neighborhood Stories. When they were children, the fae Santino and his friends have accidentally awaken in scary Forgotten Hollow after trying to enchant a boulder. Years later, the gang has forgotten about this incident and is all grown up as they are enjoying their night out… until they are once again transported back to Forgotten Hollow, seemingly taken prisoners by vampires 😱 There, they learn they will have to go through The Sovereign Hunt, where the goal is simple but a bit ominous: “become unforgettable”, by outshining other candidates and impressing vampires… 👑 Who doesn't love chilling mysteries as we head into Spooky Season? 👀 I can't wait for the next chapter! This build was designed specifically for Veronica Von Elissabat as part of the Monster High World, and was inspired by the classic boolprop cheat from The Sims 2. In the basement, you’ll find a dark and dimly lit bed chamber to hide from the sun, and on the upper floors, a fully furnished home surrounded by glass walls for surveying the city after dark 🧛🦇 Covered in dramatic glass roofs and giant neon bat wings, this is the dream home of any teen vampire, so if you’re wanting to add a little spooky with a dose of glam to your game, be sure to check this build out! Up next, we have a brand new gameplay story as we dive into Generation 3 of the Kang Legacy by OrangeYambles, called The Sovereign Hunt. This new generation focuses on the young Santino Kang-Summerdream, a well behaved social butterfly living with his fairy family in Everdew. This week he and his sister embark on a seemingly innocent adventure chasing after an enchanted gnome, but end up causing an international fae incident, and get a harsh lesson in old fae magic. While this story is just beginning, I’m already getting some light-hearted Stranger Things/Harry Potter vibes, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Make sure you follow along as well! 🧚✨🌿 Attention all builders! We’ve got a brand new build request this week from ANICH200022, who’s looking for a fabulous farmhouse style home for their new family. For this build, we’re wanting a 50x50 lot, at least 5 bedrooms, an in-home office, and a mudroom with enough space for a dog bath. The interior should be rustic and modern with as much CC as you’d like to use. The backyard should include a pool, hot tub, BBQ and outdoor seating, and a playground for the kids.
