Hi! Welcome to my latest story: The Evergreen Legacy. Based on my Sims Through The Ages Challenge, each generation is dedicated to a pack. New updates every Wednesday and Sunday 3pm UK time! Aurora Evergreen moved to Sunset Valley on her 18th birthday by order of her mother. She was reared with one goal in mind: The Mission. Follow her story as she infiltrates the media and the great families of Sunset Valley with a view to exposing the scandal that exiled her family. Will she reclaim her family’s name and the wealth they are owed? Or will she unearth secrets that put her at odds with the very people who set her on this path? Need Room for Rotational Play in Sunset Valley
I realize that not many people play the Sims 3 rotationally. At least, not many people document that type of gameplay online the way they do for the Sims 2, but I'm planning quite a big undertaking in my own personal game. I have added several families (including plans for new businesses / community lots) to Sunset Valley and plan to play them all in rotation Sims 2 style using NRAAS and other mods. However, I need room for the extra families and the expansion of descendants over time, and unfortunately there's no option to add more space via subhoods like there is in Sims 2. All that to say, does anyone have ideas / techniques (probably using create a world to modify the map I guess?) to expand Sunset Valley with more residential lots in a way that feels organic and keeps most of the premade houses intact? P.S. ~ I know it might sound like if I like Sims 2 style rotational play then I would be better off playing that game, but I love so many things about the Sims 3 like the traits, customization, and open world detail, so I feel like I could better tell my sims' stories the way I want in that game, even if it takes some tweaking to get it working the way I need it to.
Twilight Shores ... A Small Base Game World
This world was created just to try if I could finally manage to get EIG in CAW to respond after I installed the TS3 base game from disk and patched to 1.67. When to my utter delight it actually was successful this project started to develop a life of its own 😉 Twilight Shores is a small base game only world with no cc and no store content. All EA rabbit holes (except the Bistro) have been accommodated either in basements or on the surface. There are 19 community lots + 1 car park and 18 fully furnished homes + 3 empty building plots. It's an unpopulated town but game generated sims will move in fairly quickly. I must admit it was fun but quite a challenge to create Twilight Shores with such a limited amount of things to use. Especially the community lots feel a little boring to me ... no hot-tubs, saunas, basketball courts, pool tables, pianos, boats, no professional or barista bars not even a wedding arch and no clutter to spread around the homes 😱 But on the other hand none of the items used will be replaced by odd looking stuff like toilets on the patio if you don't have the jacuzzi in your game 😝 I thoroughly enjoyed being able to use EIG again. It makes such difference for world creators! Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I have been successful in creating a small world that everyone can use and hopefully enjoy. 😄 Here are a few more pictures of lots that I have built for this world: Well done for having made it this far down the page. My "Original 6"... Coastal Roads - My New Sims 3 World!
The second beta is out. I announced the first one over on my Tumblr. I also made a separate post talking about the pride flag crosswalks I created for the world. This screenshot is of the first version of the world, but for the most part, its very similar to how it looks now. It is missing the lots that CJplays will create, that assuming nothing goes wrong will be included in the final version of the map The map requires every single expansion pack and stuff pack with the exception of Katy Perry Sweet Treats as that is is the only pack I do not own. In addition it uses the following free store objects No Tricks, Just Treats More Halloween Treats More Holiday Presents Weba Yayfoo Modern HDTV by Webbsta Industries Honeycomb Bookshelf ( I'm having trouble finding this one in the store for some reason. Hope its still available ) Let there be Sims! You can download the second version along with the first official saved game file for the world. When the final version is released, the map and the saved game file will be a separate download, but for now you will have to download them together. Please make sure you playtest the map using the saved game file. The current version of Coastal Roads will have to be installed for it to work. Make sure you delete the previous version if you had it installed on your computer I am also creating some extra lots that you will be able to download separately when the final version of the map is released, that use some premium store content. Now that that's over with, here are some additional, more up to date screenshots of what the world currently looks like. Most of the sims in the pictures below are ones that I created, but a few of them are NPC townies. You will need to load the saved game file, in order to encounter them. There will not be any graveyard ghosts in the saved game file, until the final version of the map. So what do you guys think so far? A Better Sims 3 Forum
Hopefully I am not breaking the rules by posting this, but I would just like to invite everyone who would prefer a more traditional forums to join http://www.boolprop.net. It has a section for stories and challenges. It is more active than the MTS forums, although it is not nearly as active as it was in its heydey. This is the second version of the site. Welcome to my Showcase Thread, and thanks for visiting! A little bit about me: I'm not really a game player but I do LOVE to build and have been creating since Sims 2 came out. I mostly built for myself (back in the day), then started joining building contests and challenges in the old Sims 3 community forums, which then led to me becoming a member of the DNA request team and started creating for others for six years. I have been participating in several world collaborations most recently and it's been a lot of fun.
