I recently purchased Dirt 5 for Steam and I haven't been able to play it yet. Everytime I launch the game, it starts but always ends up crashing in the title screen. I've tried a number of ways to fix it, from going into the program properties and changing administrator permissions, to verifying the game files integrity and even reinstalling both the game and the launcher. The only thing that almost made a difference was starting the game offline, but it ended up crashing at the racenet sign up screen anyway. After talking to some EA advisors I've also tried the steps provided in the following links: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/ https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/game-download-install-load-troubleshoot/ https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/problems-playing-online/?cid70290&ts1752398739352&utm_campaignea_fancare_ww_ne_eacom_hp_basic-connection-ts&utm_mediumdisplay&utm_sourceeacom https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/pc-graphics-troubleshooting/ Unfortunately they ended up telling me there was nothing else they could do and I was left without the product I bought. I even tried getting help via e-mail but never got a response from EA support. Since then, I've come to the conclusion that the game (Dirt 5) isn't compatible with the latest NVIDIA drivers, and therefore I won't be able to play it untill someone fixes this issue or some compatible version of the drivers comes out. I've come across many threads on Reddit, Steam and EA website regarding this problem. I don't wanna have to change my drivers version everytime I play this game, it will only mess with the graphics card... Today I spoke to yet another EA advisor who told me this was out of his control and I'm still left with no game. Advisors should be able to communicate tougher situations that are out of their control to their superiors or someone responsible for the problem. Clients are paying for games and services they don't get and it should be easier to solve this. If the sold product is inaccessible under normal conditions, it's a question of unintensional fraud through a defective product, which is honestly unacceptible after so many calls for help from EA and Steam customers. I'm sharing this in the hope that someone accountable will take action on the matter, so it's mainly directed to EA staff.253Views1like2CommentsDiRT Rally Events Not Updating
Hi, Today, the weekly events are not showing up. Neither are one or two of the other events, for example: Hillclimb and Delta Daily’s. Will these be fixed soon please? As of today, only the monthly events are showing up. I look forward to your response.Solved2.3KViews5likes23CommentsOnline Pass availability on Dirt and GRID games, server shutting down *UPDATED*
Hello fellow EA community. I write this post due to several issues regarding these Codemasters "legacy" games. Recently it was known that various Dirt and GRID games are going to be shut down on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, including: Dirt 3, Grid 2, Grid Autosport and Dirt Showdown on March 2026. But this comes with two problems: 1st problem: The Online Passes or also known as "VIP Passes", are no longer available on those storefronts. Well, ofc, the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 is already gone, so unfortunately is no longer there. But on PlayStation Store, they're not. And they haven't been for a long time since Codemasters (when still independent prior to EA acquisition) delisted them. 2nd problem: The codes on physical copies, including brand new, sealed copies of the game were made expired, meaning that they're useless nowadays, even if it had a expiration date of 2027 to put an example. Similar to the massive shut down of the old F1 Codemasters games back in 2023-2024, Codemasters support stated persistently that the online passes couldn't be sold again because of "licensing issues". The thing, is the online pass are just a single use token that grants users access to online features. They don't grant access to Ferraris or Citroën cars, which is mistakenly thought so by Codemasters support guys. The "licensed content with issues" would be those DLC vehicles or circuits, but not a online pass. I mean come on. This is a post made with the intention of asking Codemasters or EA if they can reinstate, at least for one last time those online passes onto the PlayStation Store, or make these codes on brand new copies redeemable and possible to use. I expect the same "licensing issues" answer, or that "PlayStation 3 Store infrastructure is old and this content cannot be added again". Hoping a sooner answer or clearance about this information. UPDATE, 23 September 2025: Hello again, I come to edit this thread because now EA, on the name of hypochrisy has fast forwarded the closure of the servers to november of this year. The original meant dates for March 2026 have been forwarded to November 2025. This is absolutely stupid. If you stated that they were closing on March 2026, then THAT'S THE DATE THEY MUST CLOSE. But instead, seemingly because I'm the only guy asking for the online passes availability, you probably said "Yeah, this guy's asking for things we aren't gonna add again, let's move the closure dates for the sake of money and let the PS3/Xbox 360 die already". It's a shame that NOBODY from Codemasters or EA it's able to reply to one single discussion where a user KINDLY ASKS FOR A ONLINE SERVICE THAT SEEMS YOU DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT. At this point just add the online passes back again to the PlayStation Store on PS3 and stop being like that, stop making online trophies/achievements unobtainable because of single-use online access tokens that cannot be get anymore, honestly, because this is hypochrisy at level 99 percent. Just because you thought, "Oh, March 16 2026 it's too much time", yeah sure. Listen to the community once for God's sake.405Views7likes7CommentsDirt Rally 2.0 in VR is not working with an AMD Radeon 7900 XTX
Hello Answer HQ, i have an issue with Dirt Rally 2.0 since i switched to the AMD Radeon 7900 XTX. As soon as i start the game via SteamVR the Monitor goes black and it says it hasn't signal anymore, also on the Valve Index HMD i didn't see any picture, i tried it multiple times but one time i saw at least the first game screen in the VR headset but it was freezed along with Monitor says it has no signal. On other games VR is working i tried Half Life: Alyx. First i tried to remove the complete NVIDIA Stuff from my Computer, then removed the AMD Graphics Driver, and installed it again, i also tried to disable HDR, Variable Refreshrate, Leaved my OC settings to Stock, reinstalled SteamVR, reinstalled Dirt Rally 2.0. But i am now out of my arguments or ideas what that issue causes. Is this a driver related issue or is the way the game handles VR with this card? Thats why i am asking if you can help me with that problem. My Graphic Card Driver Version is 22.12.2 I have also uploaded a DxDiag. Can you help me? EDIT: I have tried it again now the game crashes with an error: Access violation at address 0x8249564d in module 'd3d11.dll' + 0x10564d. d3d11.dll Along with an AMD Drivermessage that say there was an "Driver Timeout" EDIT: I also tried Elite Dangerous and Assetto Corsa it also crashed as soon as i run it with VR. I guess it is of course a driver related issue sorry for posting here. Greetings6.1KViews0likes9CommentsDiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity
