Gravity setting
Flatland gravity is alright, but popping off any kind of ramp or wedge is incredibly floaty, even with pop set to zero. It tuins the experience of setting up a kicker to ledge ect. as it's unbelievably unrealistic and just feels and looks completely wrong. Pushing could do with a slowdown option also. This would be a massive improvement and open up the map.Camera settings
I do not like the low camera setting. Fast traveling resets my high camera setting to low (sometimes is randomly does it while I am skating around) and I am constantly having to open settings and change it back to high view. If I’m not in a good mood it’s enough to turn off the game lol which is what brought me here. Please fix!Tattoos
Please can we have multiple tattoos per limb and tattoos and slots for back chest neck and face? Its such an outdated thing to not allow more than one tattoo. There are so many nice tattoos now id like to piece them together like you can in the ufc games -sincerely an old U.S. soldier that's been playing since skate 2007
Option to hide players avatars or private session
I think it would be really cool if there was an option to hide other players’ avatars completely or have a private session mode. Sometimes I just want to skate around, practice lines, and enjoy the map without seeing a bunch of people skating through me or standing around spots. I like the online aspect of the game, but having the choice to turn it off would make the experience a lot better for players who want a more solo feel. Even if it’s just a setting that hides other players and their nametags while keeping everything else the same, I think a lot of people would use it. Having more control over how we experience the world would be a great quality-of-life feature.Season 4 Causing Crashing
Hey anyone else running into this issue with the new skate 4 season? When I open steam my game will load the splash screen and then prompt a black screen like its going to launch then crash all together. Ive tried EVERYTHING steam has suggested, even downloading EA and trying to repair the game through there. Even tried loading it through there and epic to see and same issue. I already reset my computer and turned off all background overlay, and re installed. Plus, I have a GTX 1060, not super recent but runs fine, I dont think its my PCs capabilities that are the problem. I have tried something new everyday since the release and haven’t been able to play yet. How can I fix this? Any thoughts would help.
Feedback after playing Early Acces for a while
I think i have given Feedback very early before, but now after palying Early Access for a while i figured why not give more. Contents: Feedback - Missions & Challenges Feedback - Rewards Feedback - Multiplayer Feedback - Style & Looks Feedback - Overall Let me start off by saying, the animations and controls feel pretty smooth (atleast in my experience), so doing lines can look good and be fun. The occassional slamming and getting launched can be pretty funny espacially when playing with Friends and your friend randomly ragdolls past you. I had a few times the game bugged out and i got launched while in a grind, but i suppose that will get fixed. Feedback - Missions & Challenges the "Main"-Missions (if you can call them that) are to basically nothing more than an extended, stretched out Tutorial. As someone who played Skate 3 extensively, immediatly cruised around, did lines and big airs, getting to a "Main"-Mission just to get manuals explained is boring and rather annoying. Especially if i have a trick guide in the menue where i get the same information quicker. Id rather have it like in Skate 3, where if i want to get shown the advanced stuff i can go to Coach Frank and otherwise have the Missions be something challenging and grow my Board Company or something. I think noone played Skate 3 because of the exciting Story, but it was still more interesting and gave me a bigger incentive to play the missions than what i currently have. The Challenges are fine i guess, but rather repetitive. Sometimes it doesnt even feel like a Challenge if i can just cheat myself through it (For example Line challenges: If one player completes it, the other can just collect the bearing and we are done with it. If im missing some points im just gonna leave out the last bearing do some flips to mannys in a sequence and boom its done). And i find myself playing the same challenges everytime i hop on so it gets boring after a while. I dont know if there are any more crazy challenges as Main-Missions at some point but currently i loose fun at the game if i see i have to do a challenge to "collect 1500 points" or have some guy explaining me how to do Grabs again... Maybe even add some Pro Skaters and their challenges again. Feedback - Rewards Why are there lootboxes where i maybe find someething i want to wear (which rarely happens but more on that later)? Again to give you the Skate 3 example => start out with basic Clothes so that everyone can look like he wants and then do Missions/Challenges => unlock new Stuff and earn Money to buy the specific thing you want. I dont want to have to open 11 Lootpacks just because it contains one pair of somewhat decent shoes. Its annoying as heck and again takes the fun out of Playing. Looks are a big part in SKateboarding and i am supposed to be forced playing the game not be able too look in a way i like? Feedback - Multiplayer Its nice to play with Friends. But my Friend has a rather bad Internet connection, so we can only play in places with very few to no people around, otherwise he lags out crazy. Id prefer if there was the possibility to create private Lobbies. Also i dont want to play always online. Make placed Object only be seen in the Party and not for everyone or give us a setting to disable non Party objects (if it doesnt exist yet). Sometimes objects are just in the way of what im want to do and judging by what i see on social media are even activly used to grief other players. Feedback - Style & Looks Back in my first feedback i already wrote that im not big on this cartoonish/ Fortnity Art-Style but i dont mind it either. But overall: Wheres the Grime, the roughness? Currently whatever clothes i see in the lootboxes, it looks like i want to copy Tyler the Creators style. Some might like it, and thats totally fine, but there are no other options. I grew up watching Creature and Baker, and thats the Style i like. But so far my styling choices where done by "what looks the least worst" instead of what looks good. On that note i hope to see more real board companys represented than Girl and Thrasher. I want to be able to ride a real deck. Id also like it if apart from Graphic I'd could choose different board typed and sizes. Sticker placement is horrible, let me scale, rotate and freely place the stuff. Lastly, like mentioned as well in my earlier Feedback: Id love to see some boardwear. I dont want to ride around on a Board that looks like i joust bought some complete somewhere. TH Underground was able to do that years ago, or atleast give me different types of Boardway as style option for my board if its not something want dynamically. Feedback - Overall Sometimes in the missions the people talk like they are pretending to be Skaters and trying to look cool. Im sure there are hundreds of real Skaters playing this game who would happily share how we talk, but i nver heard aynone say "my skater eyes" or telling me i should go do streetskating by modifying the spot???? I cant say much to the slang overall as i pretty quickly turned off all voice acting, because i didnt feel connected to it or recognized it once. Maybe small but still: I completely turned off ingame Music, so it would be nice if those "grab music"-thingy symbols at cars and different place dissapeared as well if my Music is turned off. If the music level is 0, theres no need for me to be able to pick a different song. Id still loved it if some tricks get translated like skaters call them anyway. Like Bigspins, Bs/Fs Flips etc. After a challenge/ mission let me skip the replay. It doesnt show my best trick anyway, or cuts of during the line. Bring back hall of meat (or something similar). Slams dont have any meaning if theres some magical "nothing hurts" technology Closing Words Im sure i missed some thoughts that me and my friends had while playing. And apart from some Bugs which are in a way expected during Early Access we did have some fun playing this game. But i feel like theres so much potential in it thats unused. In the current state i dont know if i will even be still playing regularly next month or if i will be bored with it. As a skater neither my friends or i have been feeling represented in a game thats about skateboarding. I didnt see anything we struggle with daily or during skating, i also didnt see the happy moments i get to experience while skating. I know that the game should propably also be accessible to children, but please watch some Skate videos and youll see the different styles and moments. Its not all the makes of the tricks, its the slams that show the scale of the trick as well. Or in a TLDR; wheres the metal, grime and Gnarlyness in my Skate game? And lastly, thank you for trying to bring the Skate franchise back. I do hope for some changes that will make me play it more again.
