Here are the basic information of the world I've made. I'll add more information later in the comments about families, community lots etc. I've uploaded additional lots (and will upload more later) to the Exchange, and I'll add those to the comments later as well. Download from Exchange Story: The remote and rugged island got its name, Crimson Cliffs from an old legend: centuries ago, rumors of a massive gold vein lured ships to its dangerous waters. Powerful currents and sharp reefs crushed most vessels, and the blood stained the coastal cliffs red. The few survivors who made it ashore found the gold deposit and settled on the island. Later, with the help of machinery, the shores were made safer. Today the gold mine is still in operation, and the island's stunning yet unforgiving nature gives its residents the very best... or the very worst - depending on who you ask. Used items: I've listed below all EA/Store content I own. Not all of it have been used, but since I don't remember exactly what I used, better to play it safe... No third party CC used. Rebuilding Appaloosa Plains - UPDATED Feb 4 2026
Hello fellow Simmers :smile: I'm taking on the Build A City Challenge, using Appaloosa Plains and very few mods. As the town grows, you'll see different Sims' stories emerge. From the town's first community lot to each household and unlocked rabbit hole, watch the drama unfold as I rebuild Appaloosa Plains. Divvy's SV Family: Homer Atreus 2025
My current Sunset Valley save's family: Atreus, like the ancient Greek family in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. However, their names are not in the generational or related order of those classics, just used here and there for fancy. If they are already historical and 3000 years in the past, then I feel its ok for them to expire in a video game ... otherwise it gets too sad. They do get to be ghosts too, and their generations continue on. Book I Mother and father are Helen and Dardanus, whom I tried modelling in CAS to look nothing like anyone I know. However they did end up looking a little like a couple of my university crowd. I made them as mature-aged, so it wouldn't take long for them to become elders and look different, plus make room in the house. Their son Homer was born in CAS with the Play with Genetics button on the Add a Sim drop-up menu, and raised from toddler to adult in the game. They moved into the starter home called Shotgun Style - a two bedroom, 1 bathroom, flat, furnished house with a pleasant light wood, green and pink colour theme in the open living areas, bathroom and kitchen. It also has a decent sized yard. It’s opposite the Alvi household and the Sekemoto's because of being on the corner. It's just down the street, or a short walk from the gym, and just a little further to the school. Dardanus’ Life Time Wish was “Major Master” – to get three degrees at University, which he got. His degrees were Business, Science and Physical Education. The second time he went to University, because they couldn’t afford both on the first time with no scholarships, Helen went with him for a degree in Fine Arts, because her Life Time Wish was “Celebrated Five-Star Chef” – to reach the top of the Culinary career. I like them to get that for the “Minus 1” fridge reward. Here they are lining up for their graduation. To help with getting a scholarship, and for cash in between the University trips, Dardanus got a job from level 1 at the Military Base because it pays the best, and at first, most often. And so, they’ve maintained a few friends and acquaintances from that career. Here is Dardanus with his final degree. The scholarships, emptying their university rental house, books and other junk sold, and a few shifts at their work, improved their lot at home. They decided to keep adding to and improving it until they, I, get sick of it. "My resume got me a nice job at the Science Facility" Dardanus told Helen. "Just in time for school" said Helen. Helen threw Homer a birthday party for his growing up into a Child. All of their work colleagues old and new, were invited. Judy Bunch, Gobias, and possibly Miles work at the Science Facility with Dardanus. And Emma Hatch works at the Diner with Helen, and Molly French. Later in the game, the other colleague got old, retired, and Ethan, or Dustin Bunch (Langerak) took over. Homer grew up in the sparkles and got given an Into the Future outfit as his child-formal. He went to the stylist later, because another child, Sandi French, turned up wearing it as well. They ended up best friends at school. Here he is all styled over, as he strutted to his first day of school. He grew up with the elite inner circle of Sunset Valley children and teens. In fact, he was witness to Sandi’s new baby sister’s arrival in the library. His dad Dardanus wasn’t too far away, so he took Molly to the hospital, and the baby girl was partially named after him, Dar. Later that week, while the snow set in, Homer and his mum Helen were eating Ratatouille dinner. But someone was late getting home. “Where is your father?” asked Helen, “He didn’t mention anything about after work” “He went collecting scrap at the junkyard, for building his inventions. I think I’d like to be an engineer when I grow up,” said Homer. “Why is he focussed on Inventing while he doesn’t need it at work?” asked Helen. “He wants to make harvesters, so we don’t gain Gardening so quickly during the egg to omni plant challenges.” Homer replied. Over at Grady’s Junkyard ... Dardanus had detonated a large pile of scrap, successfully, but got singed and then took too long to get around in the snow to collect it all ... Who should come by and save him? Sandi French who happened to be in the cabin, with a hair dryer. “Thank you Sandi, you saved my life” croaked Dardanus between his chattering teeth. “Can I have some extra rocks and seeds when the school comes to the Science Facility?” she asked. He arrived home, to where it had been raised onto foundations and been given a small carport. And one of the gifts from their friends either at university or of their secret admirers in the mail, a fancy potted square hedge was displayed on the porch. After buying and using a great bath from The Store, he realised Homer as fast asleep in his cute bedroom. The selfie of himself and his wife Helen hung in the kitchen, and someone, probably Homer had gotten a portion of dinner out for him. Dardanus detonated salvaged items in his own backyard when things warmed up a bit. The neighbours, and the fiery came to see, while he ran around collecting up the scrap. The worst or best depending how one views it, was when he detonated the big scrap pile at the junkyard, causing the biggest explosion nobody never did see. This is what it looked like after the dust settled. It was a big job collecting the scrap, and the salvageable items, which was almost everything. Which he tried to hide in his yard, and we felt rather guilty. Even though the Junkyard still works, Dardanus promised one day he or his family would buy it and restore it. The next day he disposed of it all, and they did this evaporating thing. *** Gunther Goth got old. He always seems to do so quickly. Or maybe we're just too absorbed in our own game that we forget to watch him progress. Shortly after is when Dardanus built a time machine because with all of the Inventing he rolled a wish to do so, and to travel either into the future or past. I thought it would be harmless like the Miner, but this little child sim appeared, genetically Dardanus’ but not Helen’s. I could have not saved and played without her existence, but I thought it was interesting, and it might be bad karma or something. The game told me Dardanus witnessed a couple arguing and that he went to give advice to them to try to help. There was no cheater reputation or angry relationship panel from Helen. There's no ex girlfriend or mystery acquaintance in his relationship panels either. It is a mystery who the mother was. The game has never said. The game named her Hilda, which I kept. She went straight over to the soccer game that Homer won with his Festival tickets. One of her traits is Athletic as is Dardanus. While she played, her new bedroom was built. Plus a hallway and a second bathroom. Homer's bedroom was given a half-more mature look. Stay tuned, there is more. Looks like it all has to go below as replies of 10 or less ... ok ...
The People of Simbria: Sunset Valley
Well, hi there. This is a story (of sorts) that has been going on for a while, so it won't be starting with the first chapter, but it doesn't matter to much, because it didn't start with the beginning even when I first started sharing it on the old forum. 😛 'Original' thread is found here, but I wouldn't recommend checking it out, because it lost all the images in the forum transfer... The Concept In general, the story takes place in several towns spread across a country called "The United Kingdom of Simbria", and now that the concept is a little more clear than when I first started out on the old forum, I will not lump everything together in one thread, but instead create one thread per. town. So, this thread will focus on the inhabitants of Sunset Valley - the small town that everybody knows, and which in my world is located on the southwestern tip of this country. Sunset Valley Theme (Youtube) Prologue: The Original Families. Moving into town. The story of Sunset Valley began in 1977 sim time, when a young couple, Asgeir and Lucie Karlsen moved into town. They had moved all the way south from their hometown of Pamtere far, far to the north, hoping to settle in the city of Wad Nahadau, b ut the housing market in the city had proved to be much to expensive for them.... Asgeir aspired to be a world famous painter and writer and Lucie wanted to reach the top of the medical career. Since they used almost all of their money buying their first home at Water Lily Road 58 and as Asgeir's career as a painter and writer was a long way from taking off, they both started a job at the bottom ranks of the medical career. Camera technology was still very expensive and unaccessible to the general public back then. Only licensed photographers and the wealthiest of families usually owned one. Everyone else would either have to rent or borrow a camera, or go to the photograper to have their picture taken. Hence to tell this story, actors with pretty much identical looks and personalities were hired to reenact them moving into town.... Reconstructed photos of Asgeir and Lucie entering their new home for the first time. This is only what it might have looked like. Asgeir often woke up feeling grumpy and irritable in the mornings, but this worked well enough for a while, largely due to Lucies kind and friendly nature. Another couple, Ingmar and Eirin Motorsen, had moved to town just a month after Asgeir and Lucie. Ingmar wanted to move to town as he had read about the chess triumphs of H.K.H. Høigaffel and had early on felt compelled to become a world famous chess player as well. Ingmar was quite the slouch, but they needed food on the table, so he got himself a job in the medical career. His wife Eirin was a lucky and charismatic person, but often found herself struggling with forgetfulness and sometimes lapsing into periods of insanity randomly running off talking to herself. In spite of this, she got a job in the police force, where she is to this day doing quite well as a forensics specialist. It's not that it's a trailer... it's just very long and narrow. ;) Not quite one month after the Motorsen couple had moved to town, the young couple Egil and Frida Kråkesen moved in right next door to the Karlsens. Egil, a highly ambitious individual, quickly got himself a job in the business career, whereas Frida got a job in the medical career. Houses were much cheaper out here, compared to the capital city of Wad Nahadau, even in the suburbs. And who knows, they might just like it enough to make it their permanent residence. (And yes, shot in the famous Fairy Realm by Crowkeeper the Simmer, the Root board and the Simmies however are our own ...)
The Witch's Tale
Rebecca Keller (New Arrival on the Way) When Rebecca figured out she was pregnant, a sudden rush of misery washed over her. It wasn't the thought having a child that bothered her, but the fact she was going to have to inform the father and her family. She didn't know exactly what the father would think, other than it would be mighty inconvenient considering his occupation and lifestyle. As far as her family was concerned, it would just be another reason to retread their previous disapproval with a new subject. Rebecca called the father with the news, and the call went a lot like she had expected. He struggled with the idea and had a hard time finding words, but Rebecca didn't fault him for that because she had just dropped a bomb on him. He assured her that he was a stand-up kind of guy, and she knew he was ... She just didn't think that was the appropriate way to handle their somewhat brief relationship. After about an hour-long conversation that consisted more of excruciatingly long pauses, interrupted by bursts of ideas and healthy dose of moral aptitude ... They both started to understand that the issue was something that couldn't be fixed right then or over the phone. Hasty decisions were what got them in this mess and were most likely not the solution out of it. Rebecca assured him that things would be okay with the child and that she was more than prepared to handle whatever was necessary. She promised him she would keep in touch and let him know what was happening ... But that he would have to settle for some photos or a video until they had a better chance to figure things out. The phone call with her parents didn't go much better, but to be honest she felt a lot easier during it than the previous one. Her parents, and her sister Marcy were going to think whatever they wanted to think and say whatever they felt the need to say, but none of it was their decision and she was only telling them as a courtesy. Following all the fairly uncomfortable events of the evening, Rebecca went to the one thing that always helped her find her way. She went downstairs, adjusted the settings on the weight machine, and started pumping iron. The cadence of the reps, her breathing ... They pushed back the anxiety as perspiration melted her frustrations. Rebecca started thinking about the child and what she wanted for it, as well as how she was preparing herself to 'Part the Red Sea' if necessary for the little one on the way. Everyone else could be whatever they felt the need to be ... But she was going to the rock that child's life would be built on ... No regrets and no turning back. Happy Simming ... 💖
The White Angel Ylyx
Fae is a character from an old **bleep**post on my old Swampertwee. Faes where Boyd name is supposed to come from, his full name is Boy D White Angel Ylyx Needed Work to Return Inside Galaxy Hyrxik Tremendously. And those Boy Beings… not just Boy D but also their forebears Boy A, Boy B, Boy C… are actually girls. Boy D crashed on earth and the other ones… did they reach the White Angel Ylyx Hyrxik galaxy with her!?! I imagine each Boy Being to have crashed in a different galaxy each, when the White Angel Ylyx reunites with all four of them, they will all go back in Galaxy Hyrxik together, oddly the galaxy name only has one Y. Maybe I will end up actually playing as the White Angel Ylyx as a sim, maybe in a way separated from the premades, actually I made up a ship of her with Bronte Summerdream, the Fairy ancestor of Susan and cousin of titania from southern ukraine, (sounds like southern ukulele!) Who spoke a turkic language. I call said ship Brolyx, or Angel Fairy, or Waincestors.
