Fields of Gold Legacy
I started another legacy. This one begins on an abandoned, run-down farm in Alryne Valley. This lot is available in my Studio on the Sims 3 Exchange. My name is Jade Fields. I am from Bridgeport, but I hate city life. It was crowded, and the air quality left much to be desired. I moved to Alryne Valley about a week ago and have been renting a room at TexanSky Lodge. It is a stark contrast to Bridgeport. I think I'll be happy here. The climate is pretty mild. The spring and fall are nearly twice as long as the winter, and the summer is longer than the spring and fall combined. The entire year is 7 moon cycles long. I have always dreamed of owning a nectary. Last week, I visited a run-down piece of land in the hills outside of town. I was shocked at how dilapidated it was, but it should be worth at least §70,000 once it's cleaned up. I am ready and willing to do the work. A wind turbine on the property supplies electricity to the buildings. The biggest selling point was the Nectar Making Machine in the barn. The previous owners said that it works, but I have my doubts. Once I grow some grapes, I will find out for sure. I'm glad that I am handy. I might be able to coax it back to life. I purchased the property at auction for §15,000. I have named it Fields of Gold. Edited: Her traits are that she is a great kisser, loves the outdoors, is a natural cook, has a green thumb, and is a cat person. She likes fruit parfait, Classical music, and Irish green. I changed one trait to green thumb, but the rest were traits she was assigned. And, of course, I gave her Bottomless Nectar Cellar for her Lifetime Wish. I am playing my Farming Challenge with a Twist by PianoAshes. Each chapter will be published on Wednesdays at 14:00 Central Time [19:00 GMT - 20:00 GMT in the winter months] Loni and her father, Fred Marsden, fell on hard times after her mother, Eden, passed away. The medical bills took all of their savings. Fred fell ill and could no longer work. They were about to lose their home. In desperation, Fred called an old Army buddy, Tate Curley, in Appaloosa Plains. Tate bought them bus tickets and told them he had a place they could live and that they should come immediately. They packed what they could take on the bus, mainly clothing and footwear. Loni opened her dresser drawer and took out her grandmother's pearls. They were natural pearls with a unique purple color. She placed them on top of her clothes and closed the suitcase. Then she went into her father's room and helped him pack. The two suitcases were heavy, so she could only manage one at a time on the staircase. They called a taxi. The driver put the suitcases in the trunk while they got into the cab. It was a short drive to the bus station. The driver brought their suitcases inside near the loading door when they arrived. Loni went to the counter to get their tickets and two baggage tags to attach to their suitcases. It wasn't long before their bus was loading. Loni made two trips out to the bus with their luggage. They settle into two seats near the front of the bus. It was a long ride to Appaloosa Plains, so Loni had packed sandwiches and drinks in her backpack. They ended up getting married. Christian and Charlotte are available on the exchange. CravenLestat also created Loni's Hedgehog shirt, which is available on the exchange. The People of Simbria: Sunset Valley
Well, hi there. This is a story (of sorts) that has been going on for a while, so it won't be starting with the first chapter, but it doesn't matter to much, because it didn't start with the beginning even when I first started sharing it on the old forum. 😛 'Original' thread is found here, but I wouldn't recommend checking it out, because it lost all the images in the forum transfer... The Concept In general, the story takes place in several towns spread across a country called "The United Kingdom of Simbria", and now that the concept is a little more clear than when I first started out on the old forum, I will not lump everything together in one thread, but instead create one thread per. town. So, this thread will focus on the inhabitants of Sunset Valley - the small town that everybody knows, and which in my world is located on the southwestern tip of this country. Sunset Valley Theme (Youtube) Prologue: The Original Families. Moving into town. The story of Sunset Valley began in 1977 sim time, when a young couple, Asgeir and Lucie Karlsen moved into town. They had moved all the way south from their hometown of Pamtere far, far to the north, hoping to settle in the city of Wad Nahadau, b ut the housing market in the city had proved to be much to expensive for them.... Asgeir aspired to be a world famous painter and writer and Lucie wanted to reach the top of the medical career. Since they used almost all of their money buying their first home at Water Lily Road 58 and as Asgeir's career as a painter and writer was a long way from taking off, they both started a job at the bottom ranks of the medical career. Camera technology was still very expensive and unaccessible to the general public back then. Only licensed photographers and the wealthiest of families usually owned one. Everyone else would either have to rent or borrow a camera, or go to the photograper to have their picture taken. Hence to tell this story, actors with pretty much identical looks and personalities were hired to reenact them moving into town.... Reconstructed photos of Asgeir and Lucie entering their new home for the first time. This is only what it might have looked like. Asgeir often woke up feeling grumpy and irritable in the mornings, but this worked well enough for a while, largely due to Lucies kind and friendly nature. Another couple, Ingmar and Eirin Motorsen, had moved to town just a month after Asgeir and Lucie. Ingmar wanted to move to town as he had read about the chess triumphs of H.K.H. Høigaffel and had early on felt compelled to become a world famous chess player as well. Ingmar was quite the slouch, but they needed food on the table, so he got himself a job in the medical career. His wife Eirin was a lucky and charismatic person, but often found herself struggling with forgetfulness and sometimes lapsing into periods of insanity randomly running off talking to herself. In spite of this, she got a job in the police force, where she is to this day doing quite well as a forensics specialist. It's not that it's a trailer... it's just very long and narrow. ;) Not quite one month after the Motorsen couple had moved to town, the young couple Egil and Frida Kråkesen moved in right next door to the Karlsens. Egil, a highly ambitious individual, quickly got himself a job in the business career, whereas Frida got a job in the medical career. Houses were much cheaper out here, compared to the capital city of Wad Nahadau, even in the suburbs. And who knows, they might just like it enough to make it their permanent residence. "A snitch? That's what they call me?" Salvatore Gaddis turned his nose up at the term. Blair Wainwright gave a little giggle. "That's what they call the entry-level position here at the police force. Snitch. I have the same job title. I'll be evaluating you. You'll be partnered with Hank Goddard. He is a traffic cop. Patrol Officer Keaton is on maternity leave at the moment. I'm sure you'll meet her soon." They continued their tour of the Sunset Valley Police Station. "I do like that it's next door to the library," Salvatore said. "Around the corner is City Hall. You'll want to make sure you go and get registered as a citizen of Sunset Valley. What brings you here, if you don't mind me asking." "I'm hoping to start a family. Get married. Have lots of kids." Blair nodded. "I grew up here. My parents work at the Landgraab Industries Science Facility. They were surprised I wanted to become a cop. I'd like to go on and become an International Super Spy." Salvatore looked at her. "Do you know why the peanut called the cops?" "No...?" "Because it had been a salted." Blair giggled despite herself. "Oh, that was horrible." "But you laughed." Salvatore smiled. "If I may ask, are you dating anyone?" Blair looked out the window. "I'm hoping to fall in love one day. But," she turned back to him "I don't think it would be a good idea to date a fellow cop." Salvatore nodded. "I understand." "There are quite a few single women in Sunset Valley. I'm roommates with a couple of them. I'm sure you will find a good wife for you here." "I'm a cop. That means I can arrest one of them for being too pretty." "STAHP!"
