Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts on last week’s 2026 roadmap. Seeing the response has meant a lot to the team, and we’re genuinely grateful to have you on this journey with us. We’re continuing to dig through all of your feedback so we can focus on the things you care about most in the months ahead. In the meantime, we’ve seen a few questions come up consistently—so here are some quick answers:

We’re actively exploring improvements to the combat experience, with gunplay as a primary focus, and will continue iterating on these changes with player feedback through Battlefield Labs.

Ranked play will be available at the start of Season 3 in REDSEC BR Quads, MP Ranked arrives later this year.

Railway to Golmud is larger than Operation Firestorm.

Server Browser details are still being finalized, but it’s a priority for us to talk about as soon as they’re ready. Season 3 is also just around the corner, so you won’t be waiting long to learn more. Starting next week, we’ll be taking a deep dive into Railway to Golmud and how it’s been reimagined for Battlefield 6, alongside some of the changes and improvements based on player feedback from the recent Battlefield Labs tests. We’ll also be sharing changes to land vehicles designed to make their gameplay more consistent, responsive, and viable in a wider variety of engagements. Then in early May, we’ll walk you through the full Ranked Play experience so you’re ready to jump into Fort Lyndon when Season 3 launches. We’ll keep the updates coming as we head into Season 3 next month. Until then, we’ll see you on the Battlefield.

  • Thank you for explaining the roadmap update. The introduction of ranked matches in Season 3 is truly exciting! With increased competition, account security will be more important than ever to protect your hard-earned rank and progress. We strongly recommend that everyone enjoy the game enable two-factor authentication to ensure a safe and secure experience in Fort Lyndon. To that end, we strongly recommend reviewing the online security letter available in the community discussions. Let's all enjoy Battlefield together safely!

  • "I hope you give some serious thought to the proposed changes regarding weapon fire rates. For players, fire rate is absolutely crucial to a gun’s feel—most of us simply won't accept these kinds of adjustments. That said, the issue of overly fast TTK (Time to Kill) is indeed a pressing one.

But I have to ask: Don't you think that binding damage directly to ammunition type ties your hands when it comes to weapon balancing? Please, stop being so fixated on what caliber a gun uses in real life. This approach is effectively stifling the unique identity of every weapon.

Do the actual work of balancing the guns. Starting over isn't something to be ashamed of. Redesign the TTK for every weapon from the ground up. Damage should not be dictated by caliber. Leave realism where it belongs—in the real world. This is a game. This is Battlefield!"
