Battlefield Briefing: Launch Update & The Road Ahead

Here's how to fix Battlefield 2042:

• GENERAL

- Specialists moved to Hazard Zone and Portal Custom Games only.

- Specialists and No-Pats replaced with customizable soldiers (gender model (M/F), race, camouflage, etc.) for the United States, Russian, and Chinese teams respectively. Additional national teams may be added in future updates.

- Each specialist gadget will be available to a specific class (Assault/Medic, Engineer, Support, Recon) The classes that receive these gadgets can be customized within Portal.

- Replaced 3rd-person melee takedowns with 1st-person melee takedowns. This option can be toggled within Portal.

- Replaced soldier cards with traditional customizable dog tags.

- Passive spotting and marking replaced with traditional 3D world spotting.

• CONTENT

- Added melee weapon selection to each class.

- Those that pre-ordered any version of Battlefield 2042 will receive the ACB-90 as a melee weapon.

- Naval combat and transportation vehicles added.

- Added options to mix-and-match Battlefield eras. Example, team 1 has BF3 soldier models for US Assault, US Engineer, and US support and BFBC2 soldier model for US recon. [side note: I love the ghillie suit]

- Added Battlefield 4 presets and options to Portal
