Initial thoughts and early feedback.
AI players. Please ensure that these will be available if your system is offline. Even if I could not progress, as long as I could play at least that would be amazing.
Battlepass and cosmetics. I get it. I like to customize my character but please, please, please do not mimic COD or Fortnite. By mimic I mean, cosmetics that remove you from Battlefield. Someone in a wedding dress, the weird puppet from SAW or someone in a sports jersey. Stay clear of these. Keep the solider look in mind with each cosmetic. I want to be in Battlefield and not a Halloween party that got violent.
Gameplay wise things are looking good. I am excited to dive in and play. Not sure how well this would work balance wise but one thing I miss from BF4 is being able to solo take down a tank or take down with a squad mate. Self-repair for the vehicles, low starting ammo for rockets and damage reduction of said rockets made fighting vehicles as infantry a nightmare in BF1 and BFV. If a player is able to outplay a tank or set up a good trap, that tank should go down. Not a quick fix and speeding back to deployment after barely taking damage from several RPGs. With how large these maps are and how many potential vehicles can be in play….we need to be able to counter them properly please.
I know I am in the minority here but please let me chose to disable crossplay. I do not want to play against anyone with a keyboard and mouse. That or at least keep console players together and match make with chosen input.
I have not seen any mention of this but I do hope fortification building from BFV comes back. It is a great feature and should not be a one and done thing.
