Will portal fix how awful and dumbed down the air vehicles have become? I don't think so, I think that was a purposeful design choice to either ignore the previous game's mechanics and game code, or they didn't have access to it. Either way, portal isn't going to make helicopters feel fun and skillful like they did in BF3/4.
