What about server browser ?

A few things, that are still unclear tho:
- One of the biggest problem was, everyone looked the same. Even If you have 10 specialist at 128 players that's still a lot of same looking players. Where's the customization ala BF V? And WHY do they all look like out of a Cartoon? Is this done to appease the younger, BR crowd? It doesn't look like BF. They look goofy. The solution would be to let people customize their fav specialist to the max. Meaning, chances someone else has the same exact look are slim. Yeah, otherwise it will completely kill the immersion, IMO.
- No Proper Scoreboard. I mean Dice, boot up your own BF V and hit tab. Its that easy.
- My guess is there will not be a server browser since 2042 is obviously tailored for console players (that becomes obvious when you see the commarose system. Its made for a controller and not mouse/key. (yes im a snub sorry). Match making is for causal console gamers. I want to choose my fav servers please.
Its nice to see that they are taking the critic to heart tho and it was clear that there's no way of them removing the specialist. I mean to those who complain that they "doubled down" come on, dont be so naive. Games take years to develop. You dont think they change it all in 4 weeks?
Anyways, still will wait for reviews first.
@Straatford87I love the fact you fixed a lot of the other issues from the open beta, I play medic or Engineer so fixing those things are great. But after seeing the new, Specialists I still not convinced. The game is fun feels great. But I didn't have fun playing solo because none of my squamates were doing any form of team play. No one had ammo or med kits. With the new heros, and that what it is new heros you wont get the team play you say we should...well not always. Sure people who like that may play for the team but you seem to underestimate the power of the Internet and how people will do the opposite of what you think. Unless I play only with friends and talk about what kit is used by which hero things will not go the way think. I will say hazard zone is perfect for your new Specialist. Hope the game go the way you want but I would have loved normal class in all out warfare and Specialist in Hazard zone.
For a 100 % perfect BF-title we need:
- Private, customizable Servers (BF 4-like)
- A clan-system (Clan-Tag, Logo, Clan-Page, like it was available for BF4)
- A individual recoil-system for each weapon (it feels more CoD-like atm)
- Small TDM-Maps with office-/building-fights (Dawnbreaker, Locker)
- A better ingame stats-overview/scoreboard (blue = left side, red = right side, Kills, Killlead, KD-ratio etc, like it was before in BF4, 1 and 5)
- A more "crispy" sound when killing an enemy so that you "feel" the kill
- A higher TTK (you drop way too fast! There is almost no chance to react when the enemy sees you first)
- Darker, more chaotic maps (like "Dawnbreaker" with waste in the streets and paper-pieces/ash/sparks floating through the air)
- Maybe leaderboards
- Stuff to unlock during the leveling-process (which keeps the motivation alive)
You definitely have to optimize:
- soldiers facial expressions (especially when dying/crying for help in pain)
- individualism and the looks of each soldier
- the crappy movement of the available vehicles (which was a mess in the beta)
- clipping bugs (parachute clipping through an elevator-wall f.e.)
With all those named optimisations and implementations I think BF2042 is finally a step in the right direction.
More BF4-feeling is what we need.
