Lol, what has that got to do with specialists? Recon used to have a magic enemy ping gadget in BF3, so it doesn't make any difference if it's a gadget for the class or you get it by choosing a specialist.

You people need to move on.

Specialists have been built into the game design since day 1 and you're deluded if you think they are going to rework the whole game now.

Plenty of us think they are a cool interesting change to class dynamics and I suspect most of the people playing will enjoy the freedom they offer to gameplay.
