DRS bug mentioned in this Known Issues post, but unfortunately the official workaround is not working for me. My game remains locked at 60 FPS regardless of toggling Performance Mode. CONSOLE AND DISPLAY SETUP: Console: PlayStation 5 base model TV Model: Samsung QN43QN90CAGXZD QN90C from 2023 HDMI Cable: Certified HDMI 2.1 cable HDMI Port Used: Tested on ports 1, 3, and 4 all are HDMI 2.1 TV Firmware: Fully updated with no pending updates PS5 VIDEO SETTINGS CONFIRMED: Video Output Information shows 120Hz is detected and active VRR is set to Automatic and functioning ALLM is set to Automatic HDR is set to Always On Console Performance Mode is enabled TV SETTINGS CONFIRMED: Input Signal Plus is enabled on all HDMI ports Game Mode is active VRR and FreeSync are enabled and working The TV Game Bar shows it is receiving a 120Hz signal from the PS5 The TV Game Bar also shows 120 FPS being delivered by the console IN-GAME SETTINGS: Graphics Mode is set to Performance The in-game performance widget shows the game locked at 60Hz There are no advanced graphics options visible in the PS5 version menu THE PROBLEM: Despite all settings being correct, the game never exceeds 60 FPS. The TV confirms it is receiving 120 FPS from the PS5 and a 120Hz signal, but the game itself shows and feels like it is locked at 60 FPS with no variation. WORKAROUND ATTEMPTED: I followed the official workaround exactly as described in the Settings section: 1. Joined a multiplayer match and waited for it to load completely 2. Paused the game using the Options button 3. Navigated to Settings, then Graphics 4. Found Performance Mode which was already set to Performance 5. Changed it to Balanced 6. Immediately changed it back to Performance 7. Closed the menu and resumed playing RESULT: No change whatsoever. The game remained at 60 FPS. I have repeated this process multiple times including: Multiple attempts within the same match Different matches across different game modes After returning to the main menu and joining new sessions After fully restarting the game and console In every case, the result is identical: the game stays locked at 60 FPS with no improvement. EXPECTED VS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR: According to official specifications, the PS5 base model in Performance Mode should achieve 80-90 FPS on average with variable framerate using VRR. Instead, I am experiencing a hard lock at 60 FPS with zero variation. QUESTIONS: 1. Is there a more severe variant of the DRS bug affecting certain PS5 consoles where the workaround does not function? 2. Could there be an additional underlying issue preventing Performance Mode from working correctly on specific hardware configurations? 3. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I should attempt beyond the official workaround? 4. Is the development team aware of cases where the workaround is completely ineffective? 5. Is there any estimated timeframe for the permanent fix mentioned in this post? ADDITIONAL CONTEXT: I have systematically verified every possible setting on both the PS5 and the TV. All hardware supports and is configured for 120Hz and VRR. Other games that support 120Hz work correctly on this setup. The issue is isolated to Battlefield 6 and specifically to Performance Mode not functioning as intended. This problem significantly impacts the gameplay experience, as I purchased this game specifically for the enhanced performance features on PS5, and my display is fully capable of taking advantage of them. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or acknowledgment from the team regarding this issue. Thank you for your time and continued work on resolving these launch problems.
