Notes for EA Forums World Wide Launch

Hi everyone, and welcome to the new and updated EA forums!

As we work through the launch process you might see some odd issues, we wanted to note them here so you know it's on our radar.

• Resolved: Search function issues:
  • The search function may act oddly after launch as it continues to index the millions of messages imported from the old forums. We expect that this will improve significantly by the end of the day.
• Resolved: The content moved over from Answers HQ for some language forums only shows in the categories, not in the discussion boards.
  • A fix for this is in-flight.
  • Affected are:
    •  Italian
    • Polish
    • Portuguese (Brazilian)
    • Russian
    • Spanish
  • Note:
    • New threads show fine.
    • You can also find your own migrated posts by visiting your user profile.
• Stats and account metrics for users migrating from Answers HQ:
  • It will take some time for your post count to reflect on your profile. Please note that with the migration, some old/irrelevant content might not be migrated, so your post number may reduce from what it was on AHQ. 
  • Some of the secret and/or event badges from AHQ will be copied across, but this will take a while to roll out. 
  • In the future, we intend to update the registration date on your user profile to reflect whichever one is older between your EA Forums and Answers HQ account.
