Friday Highlights - June 20th

It’s Friday again, and what a magical week it’s been! We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Enchanted by Nature with only 20 days to go ✨ If you haven’t already, be sure to join in on the Official Countdown Thread by catloverplayer and mark your calendars for launch day!

We had a lot of exciting updates this week, so let’s recap all the news! 

• On Monday, a new challenge was announced in The Sims Official Discord- share a garden you’ve created for a chance to win one of ten copies of Enchanted by Nature! You’ll have until July 10th to submit your entries, so start planting and let that creativity bloom! You can read up on all the details for this challenge here. 
  
  
• On Tuesday, the most recent game update was released which included a handful of fixes, be sure to check out everything included in the notes here.
  
  
• Tuesday also brought us an exciting sneak peak at the new aspirations, traits and whimsical CAS items included with Enchanted by Nature! If you missed it, be sure to watch it here.

Ready to jump into the highlights? 

• Last week we got some very exciting news as the official trailer for Enchanted by Nature dropped. With only a couple weeks left till launch, Ellupelluellu wants to know what your plans are for the newest pack. The Build and Buy content looks absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to create my own little version of The Shire with large gardens to focus on apothecary and foraging! But how do you plan on playing - will you be spending your time building, or creating fairies in CAS? Will you be trying out the new aspiration or new career? Tell us all your plans and how you’ve been prepping your game for this pack! 🧚🏿🍄🌿
  
  
• And while we’re on the subject, Karamazov123 wants to know all about your Enchanted by Nature Sims that you’re planning to play this pack with! I love creating brand new families for each pack, so I’ll be starting a fresh household for an extreme rags to riches challenge. So are you planning to create a new family for this pack, or will you be playing with one of your previous Sims? Do you already have a backstory created or will you be winging it? Be sure to let us know! 
  
  
• There’s no better way to spend a Friday night than sitting on the couch with a bag of popcorn and binging reality TV, so this new gameplay challenge, Total Drama Sims Camp, created by CozyCutieClub is exactly what I’ve been needing. This chaotic and drama fueled challenge is based on elimination style reality TV with 7 contestants who will be competing for the title of Sims Camp Champion. Each week, your Sims will face a new challenge like surviving the Maze of Madness, or treasure hunting through the Twisted Temple. The winner of these challenges will earn a night of luxury in the VIP room and immunity, while the losers face elimination. You’ll also have the ability to sabotage a Sim of your choice, or provide a handy advantage to give them a leg up on the competition. So if you’ve been looking to add a healthy dose of drama to your life, be sure to try this challenge, and let us know which of your Sims is crowned as the ultimate winner! 👑
  
  
• For this week’s build, we’re showcasing this mystical Fortune & Fables Cat Cafe created by ADashofAsh90. This two story small business is your one-stop shop for thrifting, hand crafted jewelry, books, tarot readings, and most importantly, cats! With various crafting areas for pottery, archaeology, potion brewing and gemology, this café has a little bit of everything for all your boho witchy needs 🐈🔮 So whether you’re shopping for a new crystal ball, or searching for a new furry familiar to adopt, you’ll definitely want to stop by this lovely coffee shop and boutique! 
  
  
• This weekend in many parts of the world, we celebrated all the amazing dads out there by spoiling them for Father’s Day with new power tools, a round of golf, and a good afternoon nap. But we can’t forget our favorite Sims dads, so let’s celebrate them too in this Father’s Day discussion started by BlueSeaWaves 👨‍👧❤️ My favorite Sims dad in my game is Harold, who through an unfortunate accident with a Murphey bed, became a dedicated and doting single father of 4. Even though he works a full time job and freelances on the side, he never hesitates to spend time with the kids by helping with homework or sharing his worst dad jokes. But tell us about your favorite fathers and what makes them so special- is it a terrible sense of humor, or the never-ending love and support?
