Excited to hear that the kits chosen were Goth and Medieval
interested to see if theres any other Sims 4 news
not so excited about Rene news
because I'm still suffering from Renephobia
Its all too futuristic for me no changes should ever be made
we should still be hitting 2 rocks together in a cave
its really just the safest option believe me
the dragon nesting in the cave won't mind us staying a little longer
or a lot longer, like a decade or so
if we switch caves who knows whats in there
could be Greg, or worse, other humans
Honestly, this is me. I think I still have PTSD from the Sims 4 launch and how horrific it was. I didn't even play it for like 3 years. When I came back to it thought, it was like a brand new game and I fell in love with it instantly. But I don't want to go through that again with Sims5.
Yeah as much as I love The Sims and I've been loving it since first iteration
I'm finally starting to have some of the features I've been asking for since 2014 in TS4
I really don't feel like starting new with TS5 and again waiting like 8 years for couple dancing or something  like dang it not again
just give me the things in ts4 and keep it running I beg- Anonymous3 years ago

This is exactly why Sims 5 Rene is make-or-break when it comes to my wallet and involvement with the rest of the franchise.
I am willing to be charitable and excuse Sims 4's base game stumble and its decade-long ripple effects due to Project Olympus/ the pivot late in development.
Sims 5 Rene does not need to be the same story. It should not be the same story.
But any sign of missing pools? Missing life-stages? I will be throwing in the towel. - ChadSims23 years agoSeasoned Rookie

We'll also find out which kits were selected by the community.
Behind The Sims: HORSES!! COMMUNITY KIT WINNERS?! & PROJECT RENE!
If the comments here are any indication of the overall votes, Goth and Medieval should be the sure bet.
I know @EA_Solaire wasdemandingencouraging votes for the Goth kit internally ?
Glad to see we have someone fighting for those of us that are over the horrible colorful clothing swatches keep up the good fight. :)
Goth has got to win I'd love to know the % it got over the other kit to know where the community is at liking those ugly colorful swatches. - wildirishbanshee3 years agoSeasoned AceHonestly, if Rene isn't the Sims game 4 should have been at the very least, I'm probably moving on myself. I'm tired of paying for the same packs over and over again - the basics should be in the damn base game at this point, with further fleshed out packs. That means seasons/weather/pets/university should all be base game, so that by the time the theme is fleshed out further in a pack, it wasn't GONE for all that time, just not as wonderful as maybe it could have been. If it's been in 2 or more iterations, it should be base game by now. The Sims should be evolving as time goes on, with wonderful things on the horizon - not stuck in 2003.
- Lol I voted for those 'ugly colorful swatches'. ? What can I say? I'm just not a goth girl.

Yep, it's an aesthetic monotony ? - Anonymous3 years agoRene and Horses are the winners in the waiting room:
- kaching123 years agoNew SpectatorI liked both the "ugly colorful swatches" and the goth ones, but I feel like the game already has enough colorful clothing in it. But I just think it's mean that we can't have both - everything got designed and clearly at least some of it got built on a 3d model, can't we have both?
I still remember hearing absolutely nothing about Sims 2 until the last Sims 1 pack came out, so I'm surprised we're hearing ANYTHING about Rene/Sims 5 well before the Sims 4's obvious end, so I wasn't expecting to hear much about it in the upcoming this anyway, thus I'm not really bothered that supposed time of 15 minutes means Rene won't get discussed much.
I mean of course I'd like to hear stuff about it, I'm just not expecting to. (I'm also sure that I won't be able to run it on my computer when it's eventually available anyway). - wildirishbanshee3 years agoSeasoned AceEh, we might get all the themes eventually - they really don't like to waste assets lol, but the community voted ones will be first.
