Hi, these are the topics and issues I'd like to discuss.
- Communication, or a lack thereof: there are big periods of silence from the team both in terms of new content, patches, and acknowledging some concerns, issues. For one, the community is still waiting to know what is on about the 64 to 32 bit instance conversion of chairs. Even the Game Changers were left in the dark when they asked you about it (as in "still looking into it")! And what about the bunk beds? The code is clearly there already to make them fully functional as intended and don't need fixes, so why did you disable those parts?
- Hype: with you often say not to get hyped about things... and then you constantly proceed to do that anyway right after saying it. Also, there are times you announce there will be an announcement, which is for another announcement, and most of it is a build-up for a future announcement we may or may not know the date for. (Like, wasn't there supposed to be a hint about a new world last Monday as of writing this...?)
- Generally, better communication from the team is highly, highly needed.
- Simulation Lag: one lead is clearly the idles? Both my gaming PC and old, potato laptop play smooth as butter with 40-50Gb of CC and mods after disabling many of the annoying ones, but turning them back leads to lots of sim. lag., so one good starting point.
- Bad or ugly body morphs: some problems relate to items being enabled for all bodyframes without modifying the morphs properly if at all, others have it from the get-go. There are items that change the morph of certain parts of the body in visible, sometimes drastic ways (i.e. some pants change the waist and chest for no logical reason).
- Very misleading trailers: Get Famous is one of the biggest and most painful culprits, but certainly isn't alone. Not saying game marketing isn't always like that, but the level is what's concerning, plus the amount of seemingly cool animations made purely for the trailers that aren't going to be in the game, ever.
- Speaking of animations... why are you guys constantly reusing that one hamster cuddle animation for the weirdest of things?
- PR vs Content: it feels like there's a ridiculous amount of money pushed into unnecessary PR stunts (i.e. the custommade jacket and shoes based on the retro clothes Kit sent out to certain influencers, or that one Get Together announcement party no one wants to remember...). Meanwhile, one could build a decent gamer PC for the price of the full Sims 4 experience by now, and yet the content doesn't feel like value for money.
- Substance, or lack of: Base Game is still not fleshed out to really be called a proper Base Game after over 7 years, and this is highly concerning. Some EPs feel like they are just sold as such but are actually GPs considering the content we are getting. I know you said to not talk about the other generations, but 2 and 3 had solid BGs that felt fleshed out enough in and of itself without further packs, and with 4, I feel like even if I owned all packs, I'd still be left with a half-done game unfortunately.
- EPs sold as GPs: built on the last two; from Island Living onwards, EP quality and content have been going downhill to the point it's hard to justify calling them an EP, especially with most GPs sold around the same timeframe being nearly superior.
- Is the tween target audience why we had a flux of those childish looking critters in the game, like Paranormal's spirits, Bust the Dust's literal dust bunnies and so on?
- Ridiculously sized objects: self explanatory. The cupcake machine, hamster home and telescope are the 3 most noteworthy contenders.
- Occults: not enough of them, and the quality is really mixed. Plant sims are just plain terrible, aliens and mermaids are half-baked, and vampires and spellcasters are pretty good... why, though? Why can't all of them be equally good in their own way?
- Babies: 7 years in, and they are still objects... for what reason?
