Hi, guys. Thanks for all your efforts with the game. Here are some things I'd like to learn more about:
First and foremost I'd like to ask about Whims. These are like feedback system to connect player and sims. Meaningful whims can hint a story direction for player, signal about a sim character, provide some stretch goal etc. So instead of swiping the problem under the carpet aka hiding whims from the game are there any chances this system will be worked on and restored to its former glory? Will we ever see packs receiving missing whims and will they ever become more meaningful instead of wishing for a beehive in apartment?
I wander what is the main team priority for core gameplay improvement atm? Is it emotional system, traits, whims? If anything at all?
Regarding upgrading/reworking earlier content. There was a post after Island Living release about possibilities of making water swimmable in all worlds. And this topic was never brought back. So will it ever become true? And why the route of isolating activities to certain world was selected? How being able to sled and mountain climb only in Mt. Comorebi or being able to dive only in Sulani benefits the game?
I'm pretty sure team knows that simmers are constantly struggling with NPC management in TS4. Starting from ridiculous outfits to inappropriate sims being selected for certain NPC roles (like Sage participating in Uni debate club or Vlad casually chatting with Father Winter on Brindleton beaches). If this problem is acknowledged on the team side? Is it looked into? I also have a suggestion for combating outfit situation. You have a wonderful tool of preset outfits on your hands. Why not use it? Enable players to save their own preset outfits and make a setting so that generated NPC families would use outfits only from that pool. This, from one hand, will allow players to go with whatever style they like for every NPC from the other it'll finally cull wired fashion choices made by the game AI.
Will we ever receive even a tiny portion of ownership of worlds like being able to regulate lot size/placement. Being able to choose and place/remove décor in worlds? Will lots ever be multi-functional again?
How come that kids in TS4 can knit and perform seances but can't water plants and ride a bike??? As a mother of 6 y.o. I can confirm that she's watering our home plants since 3, is riding a bike since 4 and still struggling while learning to crochet at her 6, not to mention she's too young to even understand the concept of séance. So selection of activities child can participate in looks very strange to me. What's the decision process behind it?
This is rather a big list and since English is not my main language I hope it makes sense at all. Thanks for your time )
