What is on my mind is the direction the development and production teams are being given from the executives. There is a perception by me, that more emphasis is being placed upon new product development rather than fixing any outstanding bugs, and assisting with play issues.
More and more packs are launching out of production and it feels as a player; they are not being given adequate time in the testing during the - pre-launch and launch stages. There are far too many bugs in my mind to convince me the new packs were fully tested for bug identification and clearing. From my perpsective Maxis is churning out the packs for profits; but show little support of concern of the opinions of the current players. I am not directing blame at the production teams or producers; but higher up in the corporate entity that is EA Games/Maxis.
It would be a good idea for the senior mangement of the SIMS to communicate the thoughts of the average player and the growing distance between the individual games' groups ie SIMS team and the senior executives. Without loyalty and satisfaction of the players, the product will not be sustainable in the future and more worrying is the the ever-growing dissatisfaction.
Please slow down on the new developments and spend more time on making the SIMS less frustrating due to the annoying bugs eg no reflection in mirrors and the known issues with platforms.
Thank you for this opportunity. All that said, the SIMS is an awesome game and lets keep it that way. Thanks again. :)
