Romantic satisfaction of played sims households goes to "very unsatisfied" after playing a different household What do you expect to see? I expect the see the relationship satisfaction freeze/stay the same like the relationship bar does when I'm not playing the family and they are not my active family.... Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No I'm not sure if this is a bug or poor programming on EAs side... but it makes playing different families in the same save super annoying when I get messages saying they are unsatisfied when it changes while I've been playing a completely different family. All, except BTD is disabled Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? A teen ages up in game. What happens when the bug occurs? The teen loses their aspiration What do you expect to see? The sim keeps their aspiration (unless you have the not-out-yet high school pack and have a teen aspiration) Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes Please describe the patch or change you made. The patch on July 26 2022 I was testing the aging up after CAS bug. When I switched to long life and reloaded the lot, my three test teen sims had time added to her age, and one of them aged up. When she did, I had to pick a new aspiration. I took them into CAS, and the other 2 aged up, and I had to pick new aspirations for them too. I don't know if this is related to lifespan or related to the new/returned aging up bug. I also don't know if it would happen from aging with a birthday cake. Edit: I tested in another new, mod-free save. It happens to every teen aged up in game either aging on their own or from a birthday cake, on long or normal life span. It doesn't happen if you use fulleditmode and age them up in CAS. It does not happen to young adults who age up to adults. [ARCHIVED] Swan lake effect doubles amount of Swans after zooming out and back

Zoom out and go as further as possible (so effects will be deloaded because of distance) and then when you go back to the swans in your lake/pond they will have double the amount and will be clipping through one another. What happens when the bug occurs? The amount of Swans you have/see will be doubled indefinitely. This can be done forever and will always double the amount of Swans in there. You can reset it by either going to another lot and back to the original one or just entering build mode and moving the swan effect object to any other position. The game starts to lag if I keep doing this too much What do you expect to see? The same amount of Swans no matter where I go with my camera (the Sim has no interference with this) Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used. When I set my sim to write their book - and then cancel the action to do something else,. the X out icon of the writing won't go away - even if the action stopped. What do you expect to see? The cancelled action "bubble" to disappear in the queue once the next action is being started. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Just keep playing and sooner or later you will get an action that will be crossed but won't disappear from the queue until the sim travels somewhere (not to work, you must travel with them somewhere) What happens when the bug occurs? Very often during gameplay I have actions in queue that never disappear. They continue to hang around until I travel somewhere with the sim. What do you expect to see? The queues that are already performed should disappear. If there is any hung action in queue that was autonomously cancelled, it should disappear. Neutral/Not Sure The dark form is also apparently using clothes and acessories from lots of differents packs, so I cannot "clean it" to show only the packs I am actually using if I decide to share this family in the gallery. My sim unlocked the "mark of evil" tattoo and it was not shown in CAS, nor did it apply through the interaction menu. Mods are downloaded, but the issue still occurs when I tested without. What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot "Arrest the Suspect" or "Ask about Suspect". What do you expect to see? Can arrest suspect regardless of career. Been this way ever since High School Years launched I realize that Drama Club and Scouts aren't exclusively teen after school activities (children can also join these) and that these after school activities were added in packs other than High School Years (Seasons for scouts, Get Famous for drama club), but they should count toward the aspiration step. Nothing in the aspiration tooltip says they shouldn't count. Any future after school activity available to teens should also fulfill this goal as well. Place a new pressure cooker in the kitchen. Each time I've tested this I've used the pressure cooker so I'm unsure if the same thing happens on an unused one. What happens when the bug occurs? The pressure cooker emits green gas after around 12 sim hours and any sim in the area acts as if they're smelling something awful. Note they do not get the dirty surroundings moodlet. The pressure cooker is still usable, and shift-clicking + resetting object or buying a new pressure cooker only temporarily resolves the issue. Shift-clicking and making the object dirty gives the option to clean it and this seems to resolve the issue for longer. What do you expect to see? Since the dirty surroundings moodlet seems to have been fixed, I expect the pressure cooker to not get dirty and be uncleanable (I'm assuming this is what's happening here - it's giving off the same appearance as dirty plates or moulding rubbish except I can't clean it). Yes Please describe the patch or change you made. For Rent + Horse Ranch expansion packs were installed and game was updated to latest patch. I'm just curious as to why the pressure cooker is doing this, since the dirty surroundings moodlet has been fixed in the latest patch. I should be able to clean the pressure cooker if it's emitting green gas but there isn't even an option to clean it. The kettle does not have the same problem. Go to High School on a day when teens are wearing club clothes/letterman jackets. What happens when the bug occurs? I've begun seeing, the last few days (though this could have been since the last update, only recently followed my teens to school for a few days since the update) a couple of teens whole hair has been replaced with what appears to be a double-layered slice of two very short haircuts (can't tell which two, due to the clipping, but both are very short) instead of their regular hair. This only happens with teens who have been put in the school-based club outfits or the letterman jacket for the day and only a couple of them seem effected at any given time (the rest have normal hair). I also note that while one of the two merged haircuts is usually the correct color, the other often isn't the same color. What do you expect to see? Teens with the correct haircuts on their heads. Neutral/Not Sure As it says above, I will go to High School and a couple of the NPC teens that are wearing their club outfits or the school letterman jacket that day will have the incorrect haircut. I tried asking to 'See other Outfit' to see changing clothes fixed the hair, but the Sim refuses to change and gets embarrassed. (Probably because someone shaved their head?) I will see them later, when they are in normal outfits and the hair will be fine, so I am very certain it has something to do with the school outfits. Also, it only seems to happen to one, maybe two teens on any given school day, with the rest being fine and still having the correct hair with their club shirts. Hope this helps. Latest patch did not in fact fix gardening, just messed it up in a new way. Again. I'm not surprised the patch didn't actually fix the gardening, just disappointed. I've been waiting years for a fix, guess I'll have to wait longer. This happens on new and old saves. Edit: I can now confirm that the plants are also still randomly reverting to dirt piles. Had three revert in the past few minutes without any sim tending them. So not only was the issue not fixed, it was yet again broken in a new way. Fabulous. My sim has a bucket list goal of hosting a costume party, and I noticed I couldn't find it in the list with other social events. I looked it up and found that it is only included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of the base game, which I do not own. I would assume this is a bug- or at least this should be addressed, making sure the game only compiles goals based on content owned. What happens when the bug occurs? After a successful interrogation, the detective brings the criminal back to the cell and performs the open-door animation in front of the wrong door (to the left of the correct cell). This also happens sometimes (not always) when the officer brings back one of the "normal" prisoners after taking a fingerprint etc. What do you expect to see? The correct door animation. Run a vet surgery and examine patients. What happens when the bug occurs? Animals are resetting off the exam tables when called over for examination. The interaction works successfully on the second (or rarely the third) attempt. What do you expect to see? Animals successfully proceeding onto the exam table without manual intervention after the greet patient interaction is complete. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes Please describe the patch or change you made. After Cats and Dogs was installed. About 50-70% of the time when an animal is called or proceeds automatically to the exam table, it climbs on and the table raises, then it immediately resets off the table again. This seems to happen more frequently with smaller animals - cats and small dogs, but it is happening on most interactions my sim runs now. In 99% of these cases, clicking the table again and selecting "Begin Examination" allows the interaction to proceed as desired. On one occasion so far, the dog reset off the table a second time. However, in 38 animals treated over two sessions, that second error only happened that once. It doesn't generally seem to affect NPC vets, although they and pets they're examining sometimes reset if I praise employees. This is just a minor annoyance, but I thought it was worth reporting anyway. NB: I removed all mods and disabled the menu option before creating this save file.9.8KViews5likes72Comments
