Re: Tropico 5 crashes on start

Hi @Abigailvanvuuren

When you've got the chance could you post a DxDiag so we can take a look? For more details on how to pull one up check out the EA Help website

Once you have the file please attach it to this thread. Thanks!

    Got it, thanks.

I took a look at the DxDiag you posted, and it appears that your NVIDIA drivers are a bit out of a date. When you've got a chance can you try updating them to see if it helps at all? For more info on how to update the drivers check out the EA Help website

Let me know if you're still seeing any crashes happening after that. Thanks!

Thanks for giving it a shot!

When you have a chance can you try setting up a Clean Boot on your PC to see if that makes a difference at all? If there's anything else running on the PC that could be causing this crash that may help get around it.

For more info on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Let me know if you're still seeing the same issue happening after that. Thanks again.

  • This did not solve the problem, but since the driver update I started getting a igoproxy64.exe Error--saying that VCRUNTIME140.dll not found, so these fixes seem to make matters worse.  It is telling me to install, so I am going to give that I did all that.  Then I did the reboot again, but the game still crashes at load up.
