My EA account was banned after being hacked
My EA account was banned after being hacked, I got it back and its secured now. BUT my ban dispute is getting declined. I tried appealing twice now once about a month ago and once yesterday, they both were declined. It was a ban on FIFA. I have never played FIFA25, and will never play FIFA25. My account was hacked back in late sept, 2024. I got the account back during maybe early October. If I send screenshots of the emails I got from that time, showing proof that I didn't have the account. Could that possibly show proof that my account was falsely banned? This is what they sent in a email to me.
origin won't open in mac
Hi everyone. Ive been trying to open origin for the past 2 days now and I can't get it to work. It's been working fine for years but suddenly doesn't? Ive deleted the app and redownloaded it, deleted de cache, ran first aid of Macintosh, checked for hidden updates on the activity monitor, ran the origin reset tool, reset the actual computer... nothing has worked. It's stuck on this screen and doesn't do anything. Im on Mac 10.13.6, late 2013. However on my MacBook Air macOS 14.5 it does open. Any suggestions as to what's wrong? The app did open yesterday morning but ever since updating the sims 4 it hasn't opened again. Could it be the new massive update? Thanks in advance.
What’s going to happen with the ea app and old macs?
Hi all, this isn’t so much a big or issue but a general question. I have a 2014 MacBook Air that can’t update passed high sierra 10.13.6 so I can’t download the ea app, I’m also not in a position to buy a new laptop at the moment, what’s going to happen to my games? Please help! Nothing has worked for me. Running Mojave 10.14.6 Intel core i7 32 GB (500 GB SSD) So, I built a hackintosh about 4/5 years ago and haven't had any issues, it's been perfect for running games on Mac. The last couple of days I've noticed Origin getting stuck on the 'connecting to origin' message and won't even go as far to generate the sign-in page. I've tried everything I can find in the EA Forum, I've turned my privacy verification in my EA Account ON and OFF again, I've ran diagnostics, cleared the cache, reset the DNS cache, booted in safe mode, check network connections, checked the graphics card, force quit everything in Activity monitor, changed permissions, everything. I created a new user account on my Mac to test it, and Origin works perfectly on that account, so I know it's nothing to do with the network or graphics. It seems to be something related to my original Mac user account but I'm not sure what. I haven't booted it in a month or so, haven't downloaded any new programmes or changes any kexts etc. I was very reluctant to uninstall and reinstall as lots of people said that doing so broke it completely. But I was completely out of ideas. Cleared all the folders, nothing left to do with Origin on my drive, uninstalled it reinstalled it, and nothing. Still the same message. If I try to run Sims 4 without opening Origin first, it shows a message saying 'application Sims 4 cannot be opened', but generates an empty Origin box as if it was loading the game library. I'm really lost and I don't know what else to do. I've never had an issue like this before, and certainly never had an issue that has lasted this long. I'm not sure how it can be a problem related only to my original Mac user account. Still, I don't want to use the second account I created, as I partitioned the SSD when I built the model, and that account doesn't seem to show any folders from the partition that has all the game applications on it (no idea where origin is saved to on that account, it just works). Because of the way it's built I can't just reinstall the version of OS. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have so many legacy saves, I can't lose them ☹️ Thank youWill origin continue to work on Mac devices 10.13.6 and/or older?
Moving into April 2025, the origin app is being replaced by the EA desktop app, an announcement which is very much apparent throughout the origin app. As a Mac 10.13.6 user what does this mean? I'm unable to download the EA app due to the age/capability on my device, so will origin continue to work on older devices? There isn't much outlined regarding this and I'm worried that the packs/games that I have paid for will no longer work.
Origin wont launch
Just started having this issue yesterday where origin is stuck at the "connecting to Origin" screen once it's first opened. It'll just sit there and load nonstop. My mac book is too old to move to the EA app and I don't have this issue with other game launchers like steam. Is there any possible way I can fix this? Is there a way to contact EA for help?
Sims 3 file does not exists can't download game
Trying to re download my Sims 3 on my mac it keeps coming up with choose new file this file does not exist, so i select a new file it keeps doing it with every file i click. I have also tried to make a new file doesn't work. I am in administer mode on my mac. i brought sims 4 to see if it would work and it said origin is downloading files select yes when the promo comes up but it never did. PLZ HELP i just want to play sims this is for a mac computer not windows. I have tried uninstalling and re installing hasn't worked
Origin saying my password is wrong
hi, I'm trying to install the Origin helper tool and it keeps telling me that my password is wrong, I've reset my password but it still says that it is wrong. I've even tried the Origin reset but it still tells me that my password is wrong. do you know how I can fix this?
