- @EA_Darko I have tried downloading the Origin straight from the website as well as the link sent in my confirmation email. I have tried the link you posted above. I have plenty of gig space available on my C: drive. However, don't know if this matters but my E:drive, my back up drive, is giving me a message that my E: drive is running low on space. I think the builder set it up to back up without re-writing or something. Anyway, I can download it but when i run iot whether in admin mode or not, the cursor spins a couple times stops and nothing happens. When I check my processes, origin is running in the processes. I have uninstalled , rebooted, reinstalled, etc till the cows come home. I am exasperated and out of any ideas and the ones already listed have not solved it either. I am running Windows 7 Professional, I am running McAfee and have turned it off as well to install. The outcome is always the same. I have purchased this game I cant even play and am at my wits end. Any other suggestions Please?

Hey @Aragrin if it is running in the background then can you take a couple of minutes to go through the following steps:
- In task manager end "Origin", "OriginWebHelperservice" and "OriginThinSetupInternal"
- Open you Origin install folder
- Delete the file "OriginThinSetupInternal'
- Right click on Origin and then select "Troubleshoot compatibility"
- Click "Try recommended settings" and then"Test the program"
- Save the settings in the compatibility troubleshooter.
- Origin will prompt you that you are using a compatibility setting. Click continue.
- Once done launch Origin
Let me know how you get on

That’s the problem, I cannot even get an install. The 2 things that run in processes are Origin thin setup.exe and Originthinsetupinternal. I get no install folder or any indication anywhere that Origin has installed. I did delete Gilles from my E drive to free up about 45 gigs. This is my back up drive. I will let you know if eitherthe deletion of files from the back up drive or if your steps give me an install has helped. If not, I will send you my Dxdiag file.

Sorry to see that you are having issues @Bobcat1963.
These types of issues are generally system-related so the good news is that we can usually get them fixed with a little work.
First thing I would suggest is disabling your anti-virus, firewall and any other security program you have running to ensure that it is not them that is stopping Origin from connecting. If it works great, you just need to add an exception for Origin and your games to them. If the issue remains then let me know and we will take it from there.
Darko - @EA_Darko I have tried all the steps you suggested for me. I also tried all the steps you suggested to others. I made sure my McAfee and Malaware were turned off. After I delete the origins thinsetupinternal from my processes, all processes for Origins disappears., When I go to open the Origins file in my downloads I only get an option to Run or Cancel. I cannot delete the file as I cannot get to open the file for installation. I also ran compatibility with no help at all. I do not know what else to do. I have NEVER had any other program do this. I have never been unable to install any programs.
Well ,I see this problem has been marked as resolved when in fact it definitely has not. Please help me figure out why I cannot get an install for Origins to work with. As I said before, Malaware is turned off, McAfee is turned off, I think Windows Firewall is turned off. I am not sure as I really cannot find it to turn off any deeper than I have looked. I am going to completely wipe my computer, buy Windows 10 and do a complete new install and then will attempt to get Origins again.
I see my problem has been marked as Resolved. It most definitely has not been resolved. I followed all steps suggested with no resolution. I am going to completely wipe my computer, buy Windows 10 and do a complete new install. Then I will see if Origins will install. I do not know what else to do.
