Nope. You only have to lay rails again. Even when storing the station you get the extra passenger seats back why not let a train leave first and then move it?
The capacity of the stations remain the same. The loaded passengers are gone. You need to wait for new local passengers though.

"The capacity of the stations remain the same" ...are you sure? ... maybe EA has change it now ... last time i put a train station back in the inventar and put it in another region, all slots i buyed wirh simcash before are lost. but this was a few weeks ago, so maybe EA has change it. I dont try again, because i dont want lost again.
Design city does a train city design so you have to take station from your city put it into the design city and after it is submitted put the station back into up your city and all slots will still be there.
I’ve moved them many times, you won’t lose the extra slots, if it was a problem before, it’s not one now’. Have a great day
The extra slots disappeared for me after the design challenge. Both of my small stations were fully upgraded. Now they only have 2 slots. The remaining slots that I had paid for are now missing.
This NEEDS a fix!
