Re: I have Sim City 4 on disk how do I add it to the EA app

@Inboundpugg Unless you have version of SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition that was packaged sometime in (or after) 2008, you will not be able to redeem the code yourself, as EA App cannot recognize old games' codes.

You can contact help support, provide proof that you own the game (such as photos of your disk and code) and hopefully they can add it to your account.

  • Hi Thank you for the info.

As you can see from the attached picture I do have the Deluxe version. I've contacted EA to see if they can help me add it to the app since the playing the game from the CD's doesn't work.

    Hello InBound

was wondering if you ever had a resolution to your problem. The reason I ask is because I have the same issue. I played the game through origin for years and when it was forcibly switched to EA it hasn't worked since. EA support is a joke and have just given me a runaround.

  • I contacted EA customer Support and the person I got was not helpful at all. They told me that they had no record of my CD key. And that I should go back to the retailer I bought the game from. I said the game CD is almost 20 years old and that the retail chain I bought it from doesn’t exist anymore. I asked if I could send in a picture of my game and they just ignored the question. Then I asked since they aren’t going to give me access to an updated 20 year old game could he at least help me with getting the CD game to run and they told me to make sure my drivers were updated and try again.

I might try again to email in and get a different person.

This is an old thread I am sorry - but any chance you had luck with this? I have just tried the same thing you did and had almost an identical experience. The support agent didn't even say hello, or how can I help you, or thank you, or let me look into that. Just "what game" what is the code" "where did you buy the code" "it's not in the system, bye" and then ended the chat. I am floored by that kind of customer service.
