Sim City 2013 Multiplayer: friend's city is completely empty
Hi everyone, My friend and I are trying to play SimCity 2013 multiplayer, but we've hit a game-breaking bug and are looking for help. TL;DR: Our cities don't sync and always appear as empty plots (ghost cities) to each other. This happens on every server we try (EU, NA). We also found a major time desync between our games. The Problem When we play in a region together, the following happens: I can see her city name on the correct plot, but the city itself is just an empty field. She sees the same thing for my city: an empty plot with the correct name. Visiting each other's city just loads an empty map. System Details We are playing on PC, launching through the EA App. I am playing via PC Game Pass (which includes EA Play). My friend owns the game directly on the EA App. What We've Already Tried Waiting for over an hour for the game to sync. Restarting the game and the EA App multiple times. Sending money to force a sync (my game said "Success," but the money never arrived). Creating brand new regions on different servers (EU East, NA East). The bug happens every single time. Key Clues We Found Partial Sync: Basic info like city names syncs correctly, but the actual city data (roads, buildings, etc.) does not. Time Desync: We discovered our games are running on different timelines inside the same region. For example, my city was in "August, Year 1" while my friend's was in "January, Year 1." Has anyone run into a bug like this before, especially the time desync issue? Are there any known fixes we haven't tried? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. EDIT/UPDATE: The Final Nail in the Coffin For anyone following this, I just performed one final test. I tried to use the in-game feature to "Transfer Multiplayer Region to Single Player" to see if I could at least save my own city. The result was exactly what you might expect: the process got stuck on an infinite loading screen. Specifically, it hung while trying to download my friend's city data. This confirms the data for her city is not just invisible, but so fundamentally corrupted or incomplete on the server that it cannot even be packaged for a download. The "ghost town" is, for all intents and purposes, a ghost file on EA's servers. From all regions.
SimCity4 - Commuting across region squares
I don't think there is going to be a solution to this, and it's just a quirk of the game, but more wondering if anyone knows of a mod to combat this. I will try and explain as clearly as possible. You have two or more adjacnet cities that are extablished and you then create a new city that is again adjacent to an existing city - so you have a group of ajacnet cities.... If you create a new link between two of these cities via either ferry, rail or road you then have to go into each of the cities, save and exit the city for the population to realise they can commute into, or through that city (I hope that makes sense). If you don't enter, save and exit each city the new (e.g.) train line will have "0" commuters, once you have done the whole exit and enter process, that number will jump to what ever it will become, 2300 or 10000 commuters or what ever. I was wondering if there is a way of just connecting the city and the population to realise they can commute between cities without the whole jumping in and out to make them start moving. Thanks in advance if that question makes any sense at all...

I'll launch it from the EA app, it says whatever about permissions and then the launcher opens and says its got an update to do. Update finishes and it says that my network connection is not connected(which makes no sense since it just downloaded an update but whatever). Tells me I have to reload into Singleplayer which is fine and all I want to do anyway. Well the problem is that when I click single player and the launcher restarts, it just redownloads the update again and the cycle continues. HELP PLEASE I have removed the program completely and reloaded it i included an upgrade and did a maintainence check on it unfortunately makes no difference.
Convert SimCity 4 retail copy to digital
I'm trying to install the now ancient SimCity4 using a physical copy I have lying around. However, the setup gets stuck at 44.80% and doesn't tell me to insert the 2nd disc. I did so anyhow, yet still it did not progress beyond that percentage. I've seen that it is/used to be possible to convert your retail copies to digital ones within Origin. Since we've now got the EA app, I'm wondering if and how I can do this. Tried getting in touch with support, but of course I cannot select this product as since it's so old. Tried selecting SimCity Buildit instead, and still couldn't fill out the form as I literally can't select anything in the console field. Help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
EA Help says Simcity Societies isn't available for download anywhere
I've been working on getting my old game disks moved over to the EA App, which obviously includes popping in the serial codes in and downloading everything. So when I got to the Simcity Societies game, I ran into a snag with the original code. It says it's not valid. So, I reached out to EA Help and was told the game isn't available for download anywhere anymore. It's there. It's available for purchase on the EA App. Are EA selling a game that can't be downloaded and played? When I replied to the email explaining that it still is being sold on the EA App, I've received no further comments. In fact, the newest EA Help rep just forwarded the previous rep's email to me saying that the game has reached its sunset and is not available for download anywhere.Problemas para entrar no sim city (2013)
Boa noite! Estou tendo problemas para entra no Sim City (2013) versão completo, comprei o jogo e fiz o download, só que no momento em que vou entrar aparece CÓDIGO DE ERRO SMCY-2: Erro na atualização ou então quando entra no jogo fica travado na parte inicial com o Bem-vindo de volta e não vai para lugar nenhum, não deixa eu fazer o tutorial do jogo. Já reiniciei o computador, tentei reparar o aplicativo lá no EA e também tentei mudar o modo de compatibilidade, mas também não funcionou. Queria saber como faço para resolver esse problema.
SimCity 2013, Failed to launch game
Wanted to play the game again but encountered the following problem trying to launch the game. it asks for admin privileges it fails to launch the game I don't seem to be the only one having this problem so i would like to know if there is a solution for it yet. I tried different ways of setting compatibility settings like giving admin privileges and setting compatibility to win 8 for the game as well as some launcher files. I also tried reinstalling, changing the installation directory and so on, but no matter what i did and how much i searched i couldn't find a fix. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Make new Game on Mobile and Desktop with much more fun
The game is limited compared to PC version from 2013 because of lacking a lot of features like adjusting bridge hight build tunnels and much more like upgradable Buildings and have options for Farming fishing Military Bases and have zones for defense from attacks from other players and have a huge look at map where we see players nearby and exchange Electricity power water and more and all from real work country specializations and Old SimCity PC games so please make a new game available on Mobile and if possible also on PC with Cross play with all those possibilities and more from in depth gameplay for each aspect of buildings and highly detailed visuals and enhanced graphics and animations as well as vibrant colors and options to adjust graphics based to prefer Graphics or Performance

I'm on Windows 11 now, but pretty sure I had this game running on this machine at some point when I was on Windows 10.
