Subject: Feature Proposal: Advanced Market Search & Auto-Refresh System Dear SimCity BuildIt Development Team, I am writing to you as a dedicated Mayor with a specific two-part proposal to enhance the Global Trade HQ experience. The Proposal: Part 1: Advanced Search Filter (To the Left of the "General" tab) Adding a filter button that allows players to: - Select up to 5 specific items to search for simultaneously. - Set a quantity range (from 1 to 5 units). - Set a custom price range (e.g., from 5 Simoleons up to a custom limit like 3000). Part 2: Intelligent Refresh Timer (To the Right of the "General" tab) Implementing a 10-minute active session timer. Once activated: - The market listings will automatically refresh every 30 seconds for the duration of the 10 minutes. - This allows Mayors to see a constant stream of new sellers without having to manually close and reopen the market. Why this is needed: These features would make the Global Market much more dynamic and efficient, helping Mayors find exactly what they need within their budget and time frame. I hope to see these improvements in a future update. Thank you for your amazing work on this game! I really don't like the mass transit because it takes up so much space, but barely covers any area and it feels like half my city is just going to be train stations. Even the ones that have the most coverage don't seem to be enough. Is there anything that's going to change with this? Is covering my city for mass transit even worth it7zwq7f0qx00n3 days agoRising Novice14Views0likes0CommentsA Sincere Request for the Future of the SimCity Franchise
Dear EA Strategy and Maxis Development Teams I am writing this message as a loyal fan and a long time player of the SimCity series. I want to share my thoughts on why now is the perfect time for a new SimCity title. Since 2013 the city building genre has changed but there is still a big gap in the market for the unique feel that only SimCity can provide. We miss the sophisticated simulation the distinct art style and the amazing music that made the series so special. With todays powerful hardware and AI the technical limits of the past are gone. As a player I am looking for a new SimCity experience that includes larger maps that allow for real city growth and deeper social simulations. I also hope for a strong single player mode that works offline and modern graphics that make the world feel alive. SimCity is a legendary brand. Bringing it back to its former glory is not just my dream as a player but also a great opportunity for EA. We are ready to be Mayors again. When will Maxis be ready to give us the keys to the city again. I look forward to seeing SimCity return. Hi, I am playing SimCity Societies Destinations on a Lenovo Ideapad laptop on Windows 10. I have tried a number of steps (opening game via EA App, opening SCSDestinations.exe directly, etc.) but the Expansion is not recognised by the EA App and does not open. I can open the base game with no patches (the patches come as part of the Destinations expansion) and open a map without issue, just the aforementioned missing content. I have tried reinstalling the game and the EA App but this did not work. I have previously been able to play Destinations on this device (a few months ago) but had to reinstall as the game began crashing to desktop when I revisited it recently. This was preceded by the EA App also requiring reinstallation as it was failing to start.Solved3.5KViews2likes20CommentsSolution to sim city not launching
So, I think I cracked it and I have used a mixture of fixes from others (apologies I cannot remember their names) Delete the EA shortcut off the desktop go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\ Apply compatibility for both EALauncher and EADesktop under the compatibility tab in properties to: Run the program as an administrator For EALauncher compatibility mode to windows 8. Right click EADesktop and send shortcut to desktop Go to C:\Program Files\EA Games\SimCity\SimCity Right click onto SimCity and go to properties and apply compatibility mode for windows 8 and run as administrator. Restart the PC and open EADesktop from the desktop and then launch the game - it did throw up the unable to launch but straight after it booted up perfectly, and now I can load and play without issues.laurarose199116 days agoRising Novice1.3KViews2likes5CommentsGame disappeared + no help available from EA.
SimCity 4 Rush Hour doesn't appear in my EA or Steam account. It's registered that I purchased it. I only see the option to buy it again. Everything was fine until a few months ago. I had to reinstall the computer and now I can't figure out how to fix SimCity. I don't think this topic is open, but my English level is low. I used Google Translate. I apologize and thank you in advance.jjbbarbosa16 days agoSeasoned Newcomer33Views0likes0CommentsSimCity Won't Load
BRO HELP ME I've been trying to solve this issue for 2 years now. Whenever I attempt to load SimCity (2013), I get "This game requires administrative privileges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game?" Then followed by "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." I've tried all posted fixes on this forum that I can find. I really just want to play this game as it's very nostalgic to me. Please help!droberts81517 days agoSeasoned Newcomer130Views0likes7CommentsMultiplayer doesn't work
Guys, help me. Just a couple of days ago, I started playing online with a friend. Everything was working fine. We were playing on the "Asia" server. Also, in multiplayer, other players' regions were visible, and everything was fine. But then, yesterday, everything suddenly stopped working. Other people's servers aren't showing up, and I can't create a world in multiplayer; it just kicks me back to the menu with an error. I've tried everything, what should I do?26Views0likes0CommentsSim City Complete Edition Download

Whenever I try to play Destinations, it returns to Societies, the base game instead. I tried using the launcher in the Destinations files, but it's the same problem. Compatibility and reinstallations did not work either I have been unable to play Destinations which adds flavor and challenge that the base game lacked. It worked on Origin a few years back but not so on the EA app.1.2KViews0likes6CommentsSimCity: Complete Edition Major Problem
SimCity™: Complete Edition includes: SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow expansion pack Amusement Park Airship Set Heroes and Villains Set French, British, and German City Sets Heroes and Villains Set IS NOT INCLUDEDED in the Complete Edition key that I redeemed to Origin many people have this problem. DLCs are not included in this version of the game. ORIGIN version used to have these DLCs EA SHOULD Give us the DLCs that we own as Complete edition owners. There is a bug or a Problem in the system that does not grant these Content to the Complete edition owners. EA should fix this and give us what we own and paid for. EA Support refuses to help us about this topic also there is no place to purchase the missing DLC.39Views0likes0Comments- 1e92a00b620592e020 days agoRising Newcomer87Views0likes1Comment
Simcity Societies Failure on Windows 8/8.1/10 (v1.0.4.243/v1.0.4.270)
The latest version of SCS crashes upon startup in Windows 8/8.1/10. The EA dev team must release a patch for SCS. SCS installation instructions (these won't solve the problem but are required to install SCS on a modern system); 1. Change the installation folder from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SimCity Societies TM" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SimCity Societies" 2. Open Windows Explorer and go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SimCity Societies". Change the program to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode (on Windows 10 this can be done by: "Right click on SimCitySocieties.exe - Troubleshoot compatibility - Troubleshoot Program - This program worked in an earlier version of Windows but won't install or run now - Windows 7"). 3. Don't start the game through Origin (use the shortcut on the desktop instead). 4. If necessary install .net 2.0 (on Windows 10 this can be done by: control panel - programs and features - windows features - turn on ".NET framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)") SCS versions that work on Windows 8/8.1/10 (with Windows 7 compatibility mode enabled): v1.0.0.6 (SCS original version). v1.1.0.273 (Destinations expansion pack - ie running "SimCity Societies Launcher"/SimCitySocieties.exe or "SimCity Societies Destination Launcher"/SCSDestinations.exe and ticking "select to include SimCity Destinations content into your game"). SCS versions that do not work on Windows 8/8.1/10: v1.0.4.243 (SCS after the latest patch is installed; SCS_104243_H.exe). v1.0.4.270 (SCS after Destinations is installed - ie running "SimCity Societies Launcher"/SimCitySocieties.exe or "SimCity Societies Destination Launcher"/SCSDestinations.exe and unticking "select to include SimCity Destinations content into your game"). SCS crashes upon startup: Windows gives the following error; "SimCity has stopped working - A problem caused the problem to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". The latest version of SCS (1.0.4.243 or 1.0.4.270) only works in Windows XP/Vista/7. EA need to create a patch to make the latest version of SCS work in Windows 8/8.1/10 (either 1.0.4.243 or 1.0.4.270). I have reported this issue to their Chat Support, but their Dev teams must read this post and Test the Latest Version of their Software on Windows 8/8.1/10. Note this thread should definately not be marked as solved. The latest version of Simcity Societies has not been been working for 3 years (since Windows 8 was released in 2012). See these posts; http://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-SimCity-Games/SimCity-Societies/td-p/13544/page/7 "I have recently purchased digital edition of simcity societies and destinations. installed on windows 8 and but societies is not working at all, while destinations is working." http://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-SimCity-Games/SimCity-Societies/td-p/13544/page/9 "Ok so I am trying to start up Simcity Societies, but it crashes before it even reaches the intro video, help would be appreciated. P.S I'm running Win 8" "Ok since it seems someone deleted my thread for some reason, let me try this again. Every time I try to start up Simcity Societies, it ends up crashing, I am running Win8" The fact the latest version of SCS does not work on Windows 8/8.1/10 means that a) the additional features added to the game in version 1.0.4.243/270 are not available to the customer, and b) mods developed for the game cannot be applied (because these have generally been developed for SCS version 1.0.4.243/270). This entire game was designed to be customisable, and it is currently being sold in an a) outdated and b) uncustomisable form. The bug is present in both the DVD and the Origin versions of SCS.Anonymous20 days ago16KViews3likes11CommentsSimcity: Sorry, your graphics card is below our min spec. The game will not run.
