Re: Can I sell my DLC game

I am pretty sure he answered it - he stated No you cannot sell your DLC, as in if you attempt to sell your account with your DLC associated with it you are violating the TOS for Origin and can have legal action taken against you. Technically, no one can stop you from giving your Origin Login information to someone else and receiving some form of monetary reimbursement for it, however if you choose to do this then there are possible legal consequences to this.

Also - you cannot sell just DLC as this is directly attached to your specific Origin account and there is no way to seperate the DLC from your account. I don't think any company is allowing you to sell digital downloads of games (even full retail versions) yet - this is one of the arguments people have for the price of digital downloads vs disc based games - a lot of people think that the cost of digital downloads should be markedly less than the price of disc based games since there is no manufacture cost or transportation cost that is normally a part of disc based games. So far there has been very little headway made in this regard - although Microsoft has reportedly stated that they will be looking into lowering the cost of digital downloads in the near future.

Thanks, I assumed it could not be sold.

However, he did state, "... or sell it...", which directly contradicts his original statement and implies that the game could be sold.

And I believe "Be warned..." is an attempt to be threatening due to my voiced dislike of the game. A phrase such as, "For your information..." or  "So you know..." is much more neutral and far more professional. I hope EA takes note!

Speed - none of the moderators on here work for ea. They are all volunteers who happen to have experience with computers and show a willingness to help out other gamers.

Yet another errant statement. I, in no way, ever said, nor implied that he worked for EA. I would really like to know how you managed to glean that from my response.

However, as a moderator he does represent EA. Certainly, EA has control over who is allowed to moderate (or even post for that matter...as it was stated that I could lose all my EA rights), and therefore, who is not allowed to moderate.

I am sure this is a minor issue, but I believe all good-faith organizations want any representative to remain civil...even volunteers.

Thanks again for confirming my belief that the game could not be sold.

    That's all...thanks.
