Re: Persistent mid-game crash - "materialsystems dx11" issue?

Our team is looking into a lot of these reports and we have been trying to isolate what the problem can be. Currently, we have been unable to pinpoint this issue directly. We are looking into the reports and will provide an update when we have one.

After reviewing a lot of these reports, dxdiags, and logs from both this forum thread and from our support agents (Thank you to each of you who have been working with our support teams to help figure out what is happening) we have identified a few common patterns in the systems reports thus far.

We're not saying these are the issues causing the crash, but it never hurts to check everything. Again our team is looking into the reports.

Graphic Drivers and Memory: If you're running the game with texture detail set to high and above, turn them down. If your system is running out of memory on the GPU, this will cause a crash.

Audio Drivers: I have seen Dxdiag reports with audio drivers from 2008 and 2009. Verify your audio chip in your Dxdiag (Under your Dxdiag report scroll down to 'Sound Devices' ) in most cases it will be Realtek High Definition Audio.

Memory RAM: Titanfall will utilize a wide range of your memory banks while running. Run a full memory diagnostic test on your systems memory and see if any errors appear.

Overclocked CPU's: If you have an Overclocked CPU make sure to take that OC off and verify that game still crashes after so long. Some Overclocks do not play nice with Titanfall.

Thanks

Yup, what I wrote earlier on page 55 I think. I had issues with my RAM sticks after installing a new motherboard (blue screens, crashes, and all sorts). After I added 0.5V to my DIMM slots as a lot of forums suggested on the Prime95 forums I had all errors fixed. Also Titanfall plays perfect since last week now. Worth giving the Ram diagnostics a go guys to see if that is the culprit.

    Cheers,

    Alex

I can confirm that for me with my geforce 280M, turning all settings to low or off seems to allow me to play the game without crashing

    Hi Mathew.

Just some feed back on your tips in relation to the crashes I'm experiencing.

Graphics Driver and Memory: nVidia 335.23. High textures. Memory usage during gameplay and at time of crash maxed at 1902 of 2048.

Audio Drivers: ASUS DX sound card, running latest driver.

Memory RAM: Diagnostic tools show no issue.

Overclocked CPU: i5 running at stock.

Planning on testing AA, VSYNC and lower settings when next get a chance, but considering the FPS appears to be fine on current settings feel a little meh about degrading the visuals. =/
