UFC 4 Unable to learn new move in career mode

I was trying to learn the cartwheel kick move (R1 + O + triangle). I tried clicking the combination together, then one by one then held them together but still it doesn't work. Please help me with this issue. This happens whenever I try to learn new moves, the player won't do the moves at all.

    Are you a Southpaw I have noticed that it still tells me the orthodox button combos so I have to do the opposite so if it's L1 +X it's actually L1+O
