Could you please try to disable the Origin ingame overlay? To do so, just open your Origin client, to your application settings and then to "Origin In Game". Disable the checkbox for "enable Origin In Game" and launch Battlefield 3 to check if that solved your FPS issue.

    We are aware that the in-game overlay can cause some trouble and our team is working to improve the overlay but we don't have any further information at this point. I am happy that you can enjoy the game again.
