Battlefield 1 "Ghost License" – Library shows "Owned" but Download is greyed out
Hi everyone, I am reaching out because I have run into a frustrating license loop with Battlefield 1. I have been a loyal EA member since 2010 and have over 2,000 hours of playtime in BF1, but I can no longer access the game. The Issue: My EA App library shows Battlefield 1 Standard Edition Owned, but the Download button is greyed out and inactive. I previously played via an EA Play subscription which ended in September 2024. Because the app thinks I already own the game, it will not let me purchase a permanent license or download it. I have already tried clearing the EA App cache and uninstalling the Steam version, but nothing works. I do not want to lose my progress and 2,000+ hours of stats. Could a Community Manager please help me refresh my account entitlements or clear this ghost license so I can regain access? Thanks for the help!koderius1 hour agoNewcomer2Views0likes0CommentsFeedback on BF6 RedSec "Initiation" and Progression.
Good day to the Battlefield 6 developers, Since I don’t know where else I could share my feedback more effectively than here, I hope that someone who is actually able to make a difference will read this. With almost 1,000 hours played, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys many aspects of your game, but also sees a lot of issues critically. I’m writing this because you removed something from the game that was more than essential to me: the RedSec Initiation Round. Yes, exactly. Not the multiplayer itself or one of the countless other modes, which, in my opinion, is already becoming a problem as well, although that affects me less personally. I really enjoyed playing the RedSec Initiation Round because it allowed players to prepare much better for fights against real opponents. The map wasn’t overcrowded with players to the point where you couldn’t take two steps without immediately running into two or three teams. On top of that, it allowed teams to approach situations far more tactically. That is exactly why the RedSec Initiation Round was perfect for both my friends and me, and it became a huge part of what made the game enjoyable for us. However, you removed it at the start of Season 3. I sincerely hope this was only done temporarily in order to rework or improve the mode and that it will return to the game within the next few days. If this mode is permanently removed, not only I, but also all of my friends, will stop playing BF6. The normal Squad or Duo mode is simply chaotic rushing and nonstop gunfire, where at the start of a match you just have to get lucky enough to find the right weapon, or even any weapon at all, before the first two teams appear. I also genuinely don’t understand why there isn’t a RedSec mode where players start with a predefined loadout that they created beforehand using their own favorite equipment and setups. Instead of looting gear from crates, players could collect data packages from them. This would immediately remove the unfair early game situations from the mode. In addition, you could introduce a dedicated match statistic system showing how much data each team collected and then have those packages extracted by drone, similar to an exfiltration mechanic. Of course, the map would also need to avoid being overcrowded. If you used the standard RedSec map and simply reduced the player count by around 40 players, it would already solve many problems. Matches would become far more tactical, and the mode would give players a much stronger feeling of control over the gameplay. Another major advantage of the data-package system would be that even players who get eliminated early would still feel rewarded because they would have managed to “take something out” of the match. That is why I truly hope this idea will at least be taken into consideration. On top of that, the current system of having to level up weapons feels extremely outdated by now. In my opinion, it does not really appeal to the natural sense of reward and progression players seek, but instead creates frustration. It simply does not feel rewarding to be forced to play things you don’t actually enjoy just to level certain weapons. Here as well, I believe there are far more effective ways to make players enjoy even something as basic as weapon progression. Nevertheless, my main request for now is simply that you bring back the RedSec Initiation Round. Thank you for your time and attention. I hope for positive and constructive feedback. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Nino aka Wyu22Views0likes0CommentsDesensitized to what isn't realistic
First of all EA is the best and first greatest gaming software of all time looks like with BF 6 its going to get better but its still not right for making a simulated environment realistic like war. War is the most brutal and gruesome thing known to humankind. We have to stop this madness but we should start to simulate it properly. We should apply this and how horrible it is to eliminate war completely. Only with simulation will war fully go away. We could simulate WWIII for example show how many people have die just for a mile of ground etc... Nukes will never happen but do that as well. Put a proper mature label on it like 16 and above. If you dont agree with 16 look at WWII they are ready and able lower this. How it is now shows no blood no dismemberment and I believe is desensitizing people how to kill without real consequences. like PTSD etc... If were truly mature show how extremely horrific it is. Some are completely desensitized to kill with out proper use of how brutal it truly is there should be a realistic feature of bleed out you can still run walk etc ... but you will die in 1 min and 3 secs for example. You could still help a teammate etc... Any rational person knows kids play these mature labeled games its up to the parent to allow or not. We shouldn't apply this for kids but for adults we should have it again 16 and above. Features to add More then 128 players a realistic amount If you get hit in the leg you limp etc... Blood and all its effects Dismemberment and all its forms Realistic Strategies Urban Guerilla etc... Real bullet effects it doesn't take 3 shots to the head for a single headshot to work with the right ammo to go through a helmet body armor arms leg etc... I am being very serious about this war is hell and were not showing this. I truly believe this could help the desensitization happening currently. This could seriously end all wars in time. Also make a Star Wars lightsaber realistic one swipe your arm is off etc... Bring back the old fighting styles for Star Wars Yellow Blue Red If you dont agree with more then 128 players wow We do it with movies and tv shows what's the difference For the good of humanity consider this Sry for any mistakes I am not good at English whats more important is getting your point across over any form of grammer. I have calculated the theoretical amout of scraps you would need if every item would appear in the weekly exchange and you could buy it that way. Amount of scraps needed by category and total: 10.000 x 17 = 170.000 2.000 x 195 = 390.000 800 x 262 = 209.600 300 x 372 = 111.600 TOTAL x 846 = 881.200 Puzzles are NOT taken into account here! Meaning the number would be higher still. But since you tend to get all pieces over time with the OP Battlepacks I excluded them from here. At least without the special rare melee weapons which are otherwise unobtainable like the Ararebo, Coupe Coupe, Arditi Dagger(still unobtainable, has never been seen in the exchange) and Barbed Wire Bat If we assume the average loot per day looks like this we roughly get 1k scraps every day 30+90+270 & 90+270+270 = 1020/day Now that we have the total amount of scraps needed and a rough estimate on the average loot based on personal experience from over 1 year of daily grinding we can calculate how many days of grinding we need to earn the necessary scraps to be able to buy every skin in the game which looks like this: 881.200/1020 = 863.922 days This accumulates to this timeframe of DAILY grinding needed to earn every skin in the game: 2 years 4 months ~2 weeks (11 days) Again, this is assuming all skins where available in the exchange which is far from the case making the situation even worse. This timeframe is unacceptable for a AAA game you paid over 100€ for at release, me included. Some free2play games involve less grinding than this just to earn some textures. I understand that there was monetary incentive behind making the game intentionally grindy (though I still find this practice to be in a AAA game unacceptable by principle) to boost Battlepack sales. But this game is almost 8 years old now and I really doubt you're making anywhere close to the amount of money compared to the release period. Meaning there is no more incentive to make this game intentionally grindy anymore. My suggestion would be to either remove the daily limit of Operation Battlepacks, increase the limit from 2 to something like 4 or 5 per day or have them drop 2 or 3 crates instead of 1 at a time. Unlike currently this is much more respectful of the players time. Money is one thing but to disrespect the players time to this extent when we know that everyones time is limited both in daily terms and total just so you get some textures is ridiculous. Due to the age of the game please reconsider the current way of earning scraps to make it more tolerable. I've come too far to give up now but most people don't have this patience. Me included (for future or other games) since this will be the last game I'll grind this much for. If the next Battlefield turns out to be this grindy I'll really think twice before buying something which doesn't respect anyones time. Thanks in advance, hope to see some changes to this system!66KViews29likes4287CommentsEA Play Subscription Purchased on Steam

I've reinstalled it and reverified the files before launching and after downloading a game like Madden 26 it shows up in my ea library but BF3 just gets stuck on downloading PnkBstr and doesn't show up in my ea library. When I try to connect to some servers I usually admin on. 6 of the 10 servers I admin for I cannot connect, each of them giving me this message at the bottom of the page. I usually join / launch through EA battlelog, however, If I try to join the same servers directly through BF4 the game I get a different message...."You are not allowed to join since to you or your third party member have been banned from this server". I've discussed the issues with Snr AE51 Admin and they too are stumped as to the cause of the issues. EA brainiacs, can you shed any light on what has been faultless connections for over a year plus been an admin for that same period. Oz_Recon (AE51 Admin)SolvedPlease bring back Battlefield 1943
It's been almost 2 years since the servers were taken offline and there has been no game like it since. Drop in/drop out with rock, paper, siccors weapon mechanics, no level up advantages, and arcade style gameplay. All EA would have to do is upgrade the textures and they could sell it for $40. Heck if EA really wanted to milk this is could just port the 3 original maps and release it as free to play but then sell DLC for more maps and game modes (though if done incorrectly it could hurt the game). I still have the game saved on my ps3, 360, and Series X in hopes that the servers might get turned back on someday. Even the r/battlefield1943 sub reddit is still active.Ultrasuperman1002 days agoSeasoned Newcomer1.5KViews8likes8CommentsBF1 DLC maps cause server crash – error code 0 and game freeze
PC STEAM Hello EA team, I would like to report a critical issue currently happening in Battlefield 1. When I try to join a DLC map server, the server crashes immediately. All players are kicked out at the same time. After that, if I try to re-join the same server, I get an “error code 0” message. Then I either cannot go online, or the game crashes entirely. This issue is happening on almost all DLC map servers. Please look into this and fix it as soon as possible. Hello, here's the situation: my friend and I use the same Steam account, not Family Sharing. What happens is that I log in when I play, and my friend logs in when he plays. A few days ago, my friend's computer got a virus. After getting the virus, he played the single-player campaign of Battlefield 1 and uploaded his cloud save. Then, when I played, it automatically downloaded the save that had been played on my friend's virus-infected computer onto my computer. I was unaware and played the single-player campaign for a while, which means I loaded the save that had been played on my friend's computer after it got infected. I want to know if the virus (since I don't know what specific virus it is, let's consider all types of viruses) could affect the save file and cause my computer to get infected. Please help! Below is my save file and my friend's save file. Can you help check if there's a virus? Thank you! Do you want me to release the archive to see if it has a virus? If needed, I can send a link.ywaddy4 days agoRising Newcomer22Views0likes0CommentsHow to fix the "Missing multiplayer privileges" error on BF1
I figured out how to fix the terrible " Missing multiplayer privileges " error on BF1. It might also work for other EA games like BF3, BF4, BFV, BF HARDLINE... You probably have this issue because your Xbox subscription ended and you renewed it recently. FIRST OF ALL : make sure you have an Xbox Game Pass ULTIMATE membership active, I am not sure if this method works with Xbox Game Pass CORE so if it doesn't work, buy the ULTIMATE membership. If you are trying on Playstation and this method doesn't work, I suggest you purchase the Playstation Plus Premium membership and try again. QUICK FIX: launch BF1, and when you arrive on the multiplayer menu where you get the error, press the xbox home button on your controller, and launch BF4, accept all the pop-ups, and when you arrive on BF4 main menu press X to load multiplayer, it should load, then come back to BF1 and it should load and the error is gone. This might also work if you launch BFV instead of BF4 and when on the main menu, press RT to connect to multiplayer, it should load, then come back to BF1 and it should load and the error is gone. If you are lucky you will be asked to download an update, do it and it will be fixed. This works even if you have never played to BF4 or BFV. If this didn't work, try this longer method that will force BF1 to download an update: Make sure you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, not Core, because you will need the Cloud Gaming functionality. While doing this make sure your automatic subscription renewal is OFF (it worked for me this way). Make sure you have BF4 and all BF4 DLCs uninstalled. Go to the Xbox Store and launch BF4 with cloud gaming. Let it load, a lot of pop-up screens will appears, just accept everything and once you arrive to the multiplayer screen, you should see that you are connected. You might need to press X to refresh the screen. Press LB to open the left menu and navigate to BF1, you won’t have the "missing privileges error" and your multiplayer progress will be shown, BUT that doesn’t mean that it is fixed yet. It’s fixed in the cloud but not on your console. Press the xbox home button on your controller, press the triple bar button (menu button) on the controller and press on quit BF4. Try launching BF4 again and it should ask you to download the game with all the DLCs, press yes. If this message doesn't appear yet, then launch BF4 again exactly the same way through cloud gaming, then quit it the same way (press xbox home button and triple bar button on your controller, press on quit BF4), and launch it again until this message appears. Wait until BF4 is downloaded at about 20%, launch it, there should be some pop-ups about Xbox Live Gold subscription, accept everything, and once you arrive in the main menu saying the game is being installed with the % shown, press the xbox home button on your controller, press the triple bar button (menu button) on the controller and press on quit BF4. Wait until BF4 is fully downloaded, and before the Naval Strike DLC is completed downloading, launch BF4. (don't stop the other DLCs from downloading in background, let them in the download queue) Now that you have launched BF4, accept all the new pop-up messages saying you need an Xbox Live Gold Subscription. Go to the multiplayer section, you should be connected, if not, press X to refresh and you will be connected. Wait patiently in the BF4 main menu until you get a notification saying that the Naval Strike DLC has completed downloading in background. You will also see a green text message on your BF4 main menu saying an update is ready. If you don't see this green text message, wait for some other DLCs to complete downloading. Press the home xbox button, press the triple bar button on the controller, and quit BF4. Launch BF4 again to apply the update and accept all pop-ups. Quit BF4 the same way on step 13 and launch BF1. It should ask you for a forced update, accept it. Then, BF1 should load and the multiplayer should work. Yay ! DON’T DELETE BF4 AND ANY DLC RELATED TO BF4 BECAUSE THIS ERROR MIGHT COME BACK OTHERWISE. If you power off your console this error might come back, so just launch BF1, on the main menu, go back to home and launch BF4 (don’t quit BF4), on that main menu press X to load multiplayer, it should load, then come back to BF1 and it should load. Install BFV and launch it, if you have the "missing multiplayer privileges" error, press RT to refresh and it should ask you to download an update, accept it, then launch BF1. It should work forever, if it asks you for an update accept and do it. Also, if you are gamesharing your subscription with someone and he has this error, what you need is, have both accounts signed-in in the xbox home screen, then select the account that is paying the subscription, do step 20, until BF1 multiplayer is loaded and working for your main account. Still on BF1 main menu, you can switch to the account that you are sharing with, then you can disconnect from your main account, and it will still work. Recommended to do: put your xbox in Sleep power option mode (not the power saving one), to avoid completely shutting it off and keep the multiplayer data loaded continuously. I hope this will help as many players as possible! This is what I found after a few hours of being locked out of BF1, I don't think there is another solution for this error, so make sure to share it around ! See you on the Battlefield (1) !BF1_KOLIBRI4 days agoSeasoned Rookie4.4KViews3likes2Comments“Test Your Mettle” Achievement Now Unobtainable – Please Consider a Fix
Hi EA team, I’m reaching out regarding the “Test Your Mettle” achievement in Battlefield Hardline. Since the official servers have been shut down, this achievement has become unobtainable, as it relies on online features no longer accessible. Many completionists and fans of the Battlefield series are disappointed, as this prevents 100% completion of the game. I kindly ask that you consider issuing a fix or workaround for this achievement, such as unlocking it automatically or adjusting the criteria so it can be completed another way. Battlefield Hardline still holds a place in many players' hearts, and addressing this issue would mean a lot to the community. Thank you for your time and consideration. This problem started two days ago. Everything was working fine before that. Have other Battlescreen users encountered this issue? Or has EA disabled Battlescreen? I've tried all browsers and reinstalled all software, including a clean install of Windows—but the problem persists. So it shouldn't be my issue. Additionally, I can't join servers that require a password through Battlelog because the password input box doesn't appear. I got this through the Origin vault and it's not like I remember it, where I see the start up screen for single player. Hello, Last year I had an issue where when trying to play Battleifeld Hardline through Steam I would get a message saying my EA account wasn't linked to the proper Xbox account. I had played a couple of chapters through GamePass PC but cancelled my subscription. Support tried to help me with this by getting me to link and unlink my Xbox account and then unlink it again but it ended up locking me out of relinking for 6 months. They told me to contact them again once the lock was done. Fast foward to now. I decided to try and launch the game and see what happens and if maybe this online server shutdown might make that message go away. I didn't get the Xbox account message this time but now it's just locked into an infinate "Lauching Campaign" bar on the Battlelog page when going to the campaign tab. It also seems to make the EA app unresponsive. I've tried reinstalling through Steam and cleared the cache in the EA app but it does nothing. I tried looking for a way to send a support ticket but can't find it anywhere and the AI Help Bot is no help. Any idea what I can try next?Inferno147 days agoRising Novice279Views0likes17Comments
