If the PS3 servers of BF3 weren't closed...
If the server shutdown was delayed a little more I could've gotten these trophies. Thanks for nothing, EA! You ruined my opportunity to at least have a Battlefield platinum on PS3! I grinded hard all the way from July (when the online pass was removed) to November 7, 2024. And yes, no platinum for me and a million of other players! If a next Battlefield game gets released why not making the online multiplayer trophies a separate list from the main one? Like Sony did with Uncharted 4? I have calculated the theoretical amout of scraps you would need if every item would appear in the weekly exchange and you could buy it that way. Amount of scraps needed by category and total: 10.000 x 17 = 170.000 2.000 x 195 = 390.000 800 x 262 = 209.600 300 x 372 = 111.600 TOTAL x 846 = 881.200 Puzzles are NOT taken into account here! Meaning the number would be higher still. But since you tend to get all pieces over time with the OP Battlepacks I excluded them from here. At least without the special rare melee weapons which are otherwise unobtainable like the Ararebo, Coupe Coupe, Arditi Dagger(still unobtainable, has never been seen in the exchange) and Barbed Wire Bat If we assume the average loot per day looks like this we roughly get 1k scraps every day 30+90+270 & 90+270+270 = 1020/day Now that we have the total amount of scraps needed and a rough estimate on the average loot based on personal experience from over 1 year of daily grinding we can calculate how many days of grinding we need to earn the necessary scraps to be able to buy every skin in the game which looks like this: 881.200/1020 = 863.922 days This accumulates to this timeframe of DAILY grinding needed to earn every skin in the game: 2 years 4 months ~2 weeks (11 days) Again, this is assuming all skins where available in the exchange which is far from the case making the situation even worse. This timeframe is unacceptable for a AAA game you paid over 100€ for at release, me included. Some free2play games involve less grinding than this just to earn some textures. I understand that there was monetary incentive behind making the game intentionally grindy (though I still find this practice to be in a AAA game unacceptable by principle) to boost Battlepack sales. But this game is almost 8 years old now and I really doubt you're making anywhere close to the amount of money compared to the release period. Meaning there is no more incentive to make this game intentionally grindy anymore. My suggestion would be to either remove the daily limit of Operation Battlepacks, increase the limit from 2 to something like 4 or 5 per day or have them drop 2 or 3 crates instead of 1 at a time. Unlike currently this is much more respectful of the players time. Money is one thing but to disrespect the players time to this extent when we know that everyones time is limited both in daily terms and total just so you get some textures is ridiculous. Due to the age of the game please reconsider the current way of earning scraps to make it more tolerable. I've come too far to give up now but most people don't have this patience. Me included (for future or other games) since this will be the last game I'll grind this much for. If the next Battlefield turns out to be this grindy I'll really think twice before buying something which doesn't respect anyones time. Thanks in advance, hope to see some changes to this system!eduonkhl5 hours agoRising Vanguard48KViews24likes4119CommentsComplaint Regarding DDoS Attacks on Battlefield 4 Servers
Dear DICE Support Team, Myself and many others have been suffering for years from a serious issue on the Battlefield 4 servers. Some individuals are extracting the server IP addresses from the Battlelog page and using them to launch Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks. When this happens, the servers freeze or crash, disconnecting all players. We understand that official support for Battlefield 4 has ended, but as long-time fans of the franchise, we kindly ask you to consider providing a solution or protection to prevent these attacks. I have attached a YouTube video showing us being targeted by a DDoS attack while playing on the server. Thank you for your time and assistance. https://youtu.be/jByrHVDUO5M?si=TJ0oTCF6diZSDKtF https://youtu.be/NgqhOTbOlAk?si=OfPvSrjNfyw-P98C https://youtu.be/X-xEPGHseCA?si=4bVCbyR6k1SCpNF_abu_afrah6 hours agoRising Novice155Views1like4CommentsThe Xbox 360 version of Battlefield Hardline dosen't work on Xbox One/Series

UPDATE: I managed to get a normal crash rather than a full system freeze. Go on registry editor, at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and make sure TdrLevel registry key is set to Decimal 3. If there is no "TdrLevel" create a new DWORD value, set Decimal and set to 3. Then restart your PC. My crash message looks like this now: DirectX Error DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: "", Driver: "25.5.1 (25.10.01.09-250425a-415182C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)". This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM. This doesn't solve the issue since the game is still causing crashes but at least it solves the hard freeze. By opening Event Viewer I can see more info about the crashes: Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Exception code: 0x80000003 Fault offset: 0x00000000002eaedd Faulting process id: 0x0x4B20 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6301395123 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Report Id: 06c26cb6-f765-4768-a57c-b442d5ae6366 Faulting application name: EADesktop.exe, version: 13.468.0.5981, time stamp: 0x6827adff Faulting module name: libGLESv2.dll, version: 2.1.19909.0, time stamp: 0x63ced377 Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x00000000004b7c55 Faulting process id: 0x0x17A8 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF62F3565FC5 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\libGLESv2.dll Report Id: f554f8e7-f1e1-48c4-8a62-97e481b7dd00 Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.22621.5331, time stamp: 0xe44cbdc8 Exception code: 0x887a0006 Fault offset: 0x00000000000601dc Faulting process id: 0x0x7364 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6504D7C504 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 330ebf06-1e99-453a-8e99-b0fe46728003 These were generated from 2 different crashes, first 2 errors on one crash, the second on another crash. Last crash it seems kernelbase.dll crashed bf1, which still suggests the anti-cheat is at fault here. Below you have the original post with the previous edits: I am experiencing this issue on BF1. As far as I've seen across the forums, the same anti cheat system was installed on BF V as well, and plenty of similar posts across the forums for both of the games. It has to do with the new anti-cheat system. I've played for 200 hours (stopped a few months ago, before the new anti-cheat update) and when I started playing again yesterday I can get in a game, and within a few minutes to a few dozen minutes the game will literally freeze (audio continues to work for a while), i can move my mouse around on the frozen bf1 game but I am unable to do any command (alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete, windows+tab, ctrl+shift+win+b, alt+f4 etc), literally nothing. After a little while my mouse stops working too , audio cuts off and my PC is left in a frozen state, on the last frame of the battlefield game right before the freeze. This has to do with the crap anti cheat system that works at a kernel level. Perhaps it has to do with certain CPU architectures and it not being optimized for all. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X AMD 7900 XTX G.Skill 64 GB RAM 6000Mhz BF1 is the only game that does this. I've also noticed I am having stutters in the game, especially the minutes before having a crash. I tried every type of fix like setting my power plan to balanced (popular fix online - doing this allowed my to have my longest session of like 20-30 minutes i think, but still crashed my PC), updating the anti cheat system from its tool .exe, removing the anti cheat files and verifying integrity on steam, trying to run on compatibility mode, running the CPU on one CCD, etc) and no luck. It's clearly the problem is from the new update and since the new update introduced a new anti cheat system and the crash seems to be a kernel-level type of crash since it requires a hard reset of the whole PC, I think we have the answer -> faulty anti cheat system, possibly on the ryzen architecture CPUs, mine being AM5. EA, I am tired of trying fixes and I will stop trying fixes since I have hard rebooted my PC at least 5 times trying to fix your faulty update. Get this sorted ASAP. EDIT: Based on the comments, it looks like there are plenty others with Intel PCs that have the same problems as well. It seems that it happens on both Intel and AMD CPUs as well as both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This enforces the idea that it is the anti-cheat that is causing the crash but it widens the search for the problem within the anti-cheat since it's no longer AM4/AM5 only. Harder for the devs, but at least we know it's not our PCs/drivers. The behavior seems to be a bit different depending on each case: some people have the same symptoms as me, others nearly the same but it ends with a BSOD, others have a freeze for a few seconds but PC recovers rather than crashing. EDIT 2: It seems that the anti-cheat is causing the GPU drivers to hard-crash at the kernel level therefore freezing the PC. Looks like it happens on a very different mix of platforms, different amd&intel&nvidia combos. If you have the same problem try stating what apps u have open as well, the ones running in the background too. Maybe it's an overlay issue or idk...Battlefield 4 in 2026?
Hey! I want to buy and play Battlefield 4 on Steam but I don't know if I should. I'm from Asia, and I heard there were server issues. I checked and saw I had 160-180ms (sometimes even 155ms on a good day!) So, should I? Any fixes, tips, or something you guys got for me? It would be greatly appreciated! (If all goes wrong I'm buying Battlefield 1 instead)Solvedkaizad52 days agoSeasoned Newcomer322Views2likes9Comments“Test Your Mettle” Achievement Now Unobtainable – Please Consider a Fix
Hi EA team, I’m reaching out regarding the “Test Your Mettle” achievement in Battlefield Hardline. Since the official servers have been shut down, this achievement has become unobtainable, as it relies on online features no longer accessible. Many completionists and fans of the Battlefield series are disappointed, as this prevents 100% completion of the game. I kindly ask that you consider issuing a fix or workaround for this achievement, such as unlocking it automatically or adjusting the criteria so it can be completed another way. Battlefield Hardline still holds a place in many players' hearts, and addressing this issue would mean a lot to the community. Thank you for your time and consideration. The achievement in question is Storm of Steel. According to the requirements, I need to complete all Codex entries in the "Through Mud and Blood" chapter. I have checked, and I have indeed fulfilled all the necessary conditions for this achievement. However, the achievement has not unlocked for me. I am unsure what to do next. Is there there a common fix for this kind of issue? Specifically, I have read that sometimes deleting the local save data and trying again can help but noting happened.42Views0likes2CommentsEA games is asking for username and password everytime I lunch the game

I just got a new 1440p monitor and wanted to see what battlefield looks like. Now whenever I try to boot into Battlefield 1 it kicks me off of my internet. I'll load into BF1 and get into a server; then, after playing for a minute or two I will completely lose access to my wireless internet connection. It's so bad that when when trying to view wireless LAN in my network connections in control panel, the wireless option has completely disappeared. I've tried every common solution online and have gotten nowhere. The only thing I can think of is that changing the game resolution has somehow caused this to happen. Has anyone solved this issue?290Views1like12Comments
