Weekly weapons Scrap Exchange updates
I have calculated the theoretical amout of scraps you would need if every item would appear in the weekly exchange and you could buy it that way. Amount of scraps needed by category and total: 10.000 x 17 = 170.000 2.000 x 195 = 390.000 800 x 262 = 209.600 300 x 372 = 111.600 TOTAL x 846 = 881.200 Puzzles are NOT taken into account here! Meaning the number would be higher still. But since you tend to get all pieces over time with the OP Battlepacks I excluded them from here. At least without the special rare melee weapons which are otherwise unobtainable like the Ararebo, Coupe Coupe, Arditi Dagger(still unobtainable, has never been seen in the exchange) and Barbed Wire Bat If we assume the average loot per day looks like this we roughly get 1k scraps every day 30+90+270 & 90+270+270 = 1020/day Now that we have the total amount of scraps needed and a rough estimate on the average loot based on personal experience from over 1 year of daily grinding we can calculate how many days of grinding we need to earn the necessary scraps to be able to buy every skin in the game which looks like this: 881.200/1020 = 863.922 days This accumulates to this timeframe of DAILY grinding needed to earn every skin in the game: 2 years 4 months ~2 weeks (11 days) Again, this is assuming all skins where available in the exchange which is far from the case making the situation even worse. This timeframe is unacceptable for a AAA game you paid over 100€ for at release, me included. Some free2play games involve less grinding than this just to earn some textures. I understand that there was monetary incentive behind making the game intentionally grindy (though I still find this practice to be in a AAA game unacceptable by principle) to boost Battlepack sales. But this game is almost 8 years old now and I really doubt you're making anywhere close to the amount of money compared to the release period. Meaning there is no more incentive to make this game intentionally grindy anymore. My suggestion would be to either remove the daily limit of Operation Battlepacks, increase the limit from 2 to something like 4 or 5 per day or have them drop 2 or 3 crates instead of 1 at a time. Unlike currently this is much more respectful of the players time. Money is one thing but to disrespect the players time to this extent when we know that everyones time is limited both in daily terms and total just so you get some textures is ridiculous. Due to the age of the game please reconsider the current way of earning scraps to make it more tolerable. I've come too far to give up now but most people don't have this patience. Me included (for future or other games) since this will be the last game I'll grind this much for. If the next Battlefield turns out to be this grindy I'll really think twice before buying something which doesn't respect anyones time. Thanks in advance, hope to see some changes to this system!eduonkhl10 hours agoRising Vanguard81KViews30likes4389CommentsBattlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2
I know the Bad Company servers were shut down like 2 years ago, but those games meant a lot to so many of us. I was wondering if would you guys ever consider bringing the servers back just for a week? Just one last chance for fans to jump in, relive the memories, and say goodbye properly.Solved620Views2likes6Comments- nateundefined19 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer83Views1like3Comments
Bring back Battlefield Bad Company
Hello! My name is Triston, I was 8 years old when my dad introduced my to BFBC1, he and I played until the very end Dec 8 2023. We loved the game and still do, we wanted to play forever and that was the plan but sadly EA has shut down any and all servers for Bad Company. Everything about BFBC1 was perfect to me, the Recon Class, the voice acting for MP and Campaign, the destruction! I understand that it definitely wasn’t the most popping battlefield but it still was one of the most advanced games for its time, and it definitely still had a community. I know it’s a long shot but is there any way of bringing it back? I know there’s community servers for Bad Company 2 but it’s just not the same as 1. Anyways my dad and I would Kill to have BFBC1 back. All I want is just one server back, that’s all we would need I’m sure the community would even pay to keep it running. I don’t know tho, I pray you guys see it from my side thank you so much for your time.9Views0likes0CommentsIssues launching Battlefield
I've been a big fan of the franchise for years. When ever I talk to anyone about FPS games I mention Battlefield having the best gameplay and general experience out of any FPS. I've sung this games praise for nearly a decade now. It's sad but at this point I will no longer be buying any Battlefield games until EA decides to fix Battleye. It is way too restrictive and makes trying to even play the game an exercise in frustration. So the other day I got the itch to play an FPS and like I always do, I went to install Battlefield. Waited for the long download and then tried to run it. Secure boot is not on. Okay, that's fine. I go into BIOS, turn it on and try again. This is the point where I lost all interest in the franchise. Apparently I had some file somewhere that was triggering Battleye to give this message "This software cannot be used at the same time as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC.: ReWASD." I don't have ReWASD Installed. So I do a bit of digging, delete all files that could be potentially triggering this, I go into processes and turn off any that could trigger this, I even go into the registry and delete any registers associated with anything made by the company. EA, I'm done with your games and I'm telling anyone that will listen about my experience so they stay far away from your products. This is absolutely ridiculous. Summary: When renting a new server or renewing an existing Battlefield 1 server through the in-game server browser, the game shows an indefinite loading spinner and never opens the Steam Overlay checkout page. This affects both new server rentals and renewals — the game hangs identically in both cases. Regular Steam purchases (e.g. DLC/Shortcut Kit bundles) from within the same game session work correctly and open the Steam Overlay as expected, which rules out a Steam Overlay/client-side issue. Environment: Platform: PC (Steam) OS: Windows 11 EA App: Installed and running - overlay enabled Steam Overlay: Confirmed working (Shift+Tab opens fine; other overlay-to-store purchases work) Steps to reproduce: Launch Battlefield 1 via Steam, with EA App running in the background. Open the server browser, select a server you own (or attempt to rent a new one). Choose a rental/renewal duration and click Renew/Rent. Observe: the game shows a loading spinner that never resolves. The Steam Overlay checkout page never appears. Expected result: Steam Overlay opens a checkout/store page to complete the transaction (as it does for other in-game Steam purchases). Actual result: Infinite loading spinner. Troubleshooting already performed (all ruled out): Verified/reinstalled game files Tested on several PCs, networks and accounts (with help from friends) Confirmed Steam Overlay itself works (Shift+Tab, and other in-game Steam purchases open correctly) Confirmed EA App overlay is required for the flow to proceed at all (disabling it causes an immediate error instead) Cleared Steam's in-game browser cache/cookies Confirmed no other overlay software (Discord, GeForce Experience, RTSS, etc.) is running Tested in windowed, borderless, and fullscreen — same result in all modes Diagnostic findings: Network capture (TCPView) shows bf1.exe making 2–3 short-lived HTTPS connections to 108.128.119.120:443 immediately after clicking Renew/Rent. These connections complete and close normally within a couple of seconds. After that, no further network activity occurs from the game process, and Steam's own overlay browser log (webhelper.txt) shows zero new browser/popup windows created for the remainder of the session — confirming the game never calls the Steamworks API to open the checkout page. EA Desktop's background service log shows no related activity for this action either (only routine heartbeat traffic). Shortly after, Steam's overlay logs record the game process failing to present new frames for 60–90+ seconds, consistent with the game's main thread hanging. Conclusion: The failure occurs entirely within the client's handling of the response from the server-rental backend call — it never proceeds to invoke the Steam Overlay checkout, unlike every other purchase flow in the game, which work correctly. This appears to be a bug in the server rental/renewal feature specifically (client-side handling or backend response), not a local configuration, network, or Steam Overlay issue, since all of those have been independently verified to work. Impact: Unable to rent new servers or renew existing ones via the in-game flow at all.DiPuck2 days agoRising Newcomer21Views0likes1CommentThis is seriously,Battle field 1 B2B server BUGS report

Hi I'm wondering if an EA community manager can help me with this. I bought a new sealed copy of Battlefield 2 Complete collection, I found it quite cheap online. I understand that Battlefield 2's CD keys aren't redeemable on Origin/EA App, I've read forums posts here and reddit posts about contacting EA support, you show them your CD, with the box and the CD keys and they would add the a digital version of the game to your EA app library. I've contacted them twice now asking them if they could do this, they say every time that the keys are not valid. Which we all know is correct. The CD keys don't work on the EA app because it an extremely old game and Origin/EA App didn't even exist then. But I've proven I have a genuine copy of the game and valid CD keys since they've never actually been used. Can a community manager assist me with this? Thank youCosmicdukk8 days agoNot applicable667Views0likes4CommentsActivate Battlefield 2
