ESN Sonar API is part of the BL Web Plugin, it allows BL to use your Mic for certain things.

I know what it does, this doesn't answer my question.
Please look in your add/remove, do you see esn sonar installed?
If so can you tell me why mine is not?

Here is Killer's answer broken down:
1) The BL plugin uninstalled it becae its used in BL(inside BL already)
2) The BL plugin has the ESL Sonar API built in.
3) The BL plugin has the API to use your mic to *.

Finally an answer. I still don't understand why it is also missing from the registry also, but at least I understand now!
