Voip not working on battlefield 4 on pc

I have had a problem with voip tried reinstalling origin bf4 3 times ran scan in the command prompt reinstalled sound drivers also nvidia drivers ran dx setup in bf4 folder deleted the settings file in my documents reinstalled Firefox and other stuff that I could list
Asus mono with via on-board fatality headset nvidia gtx 970 gpu fx8320 processor platform windows 10
I can chat to friends with origin chat speakers mic work fine but no ingame voip no sound in the speaker icon in game when I press alt
Please has any one any idea what it could be origin did not hep neither did Microsoft
  • I think I figured it out...at least for my setup, which was affected in the same exact way.

    Short story: It seems to be the latest NVidia GEForce Experience Beta releases--v2.7.2.59, in my case.  Uninstall and go back to the current public release, v2.5.15.54 (or maybe an earlier beta version, if possible?).

    Long story: I noticed that, with the latest beta releases of GFE, they're adding a keyboard shortcut to bring up an overlay where you can change settings/record/etc.  The shortcut is ALT-Z.  I figured that this shortcut was basically "short circuiting" the default VOIP button for BF4, the LALT key.  That said, reassigning the VOIP key to something different in BF4 didn't seem to take care of it.  I'm still convinced it must have something to do with it, though.

    I'm going to reach out to the NVidia folks and let them know--hopefully it can be resolved in a future release.
