Re: CPU Usage at 100%- GPU usage at 50%. HELP ME!

Hey  @Giirmo and welcome to Answers HQ!

Your system's CPU is below the minimum specs for this game while your GPU is right in the recommended slot.

Spoiler
MINIMUM SPECS
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
  • Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
  • DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 50GB
RECOMMENDED SPECS
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ RX 480 4GB
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB
  • DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Available Disk Space: 50GB

This means it should not come as a surprise that your CPU is holding back your GPU. 50% still sound a bit on the low side so perhaps you could try closing down background applications tuning your graphics settings to be more GPU heavy and less CPU heavy.

Wrong, I see people with worse CPU and getting better FPS.

    @Giirmo

Try to lock your framerate in video settings of the game

It can help you to reduce your CPU usage, try to set 60 fps first and check the usage.

I would cap to 120 or even 60, but most of the time on 64 player servers, I don't even hit 60 constantly, and I tried everything.

It just makes the screen tearing worse.

    Hello @Garem0,

Have you tried making sure that DX11 is enabled?

Also, try running your Video Settings on Medium-High, depending on your current PC build.

There are also other settings you can tamper with in the Video settings that my clear up this issue you are having.

If you are unable to get this solved, you are also able to contact a Technical Support Specialist via EA Chat over at:

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks 🙂
