I moved my Origin and Origin Games folders to my second hard drive

Okay so i moved my Origin and Origin Games folders to my D: hard drive and now when i try to play Battlefield 1 or Dead Space 3 it just says "install" how do i fix this?

  • Hey @Mikaelb0b,

Sorry to hear about this issue you're experiencing.

Have you changed the destination location in the Application Settings on Origin?

Origin > Application Settings > Installs & Saves

You can set the location of the game library location by clicking the change folder, and selecting the Origin Games folder on the D: Drive.

Once this is done, try repairing the game that you are looking to play, and see if you are able to launch it.

Give this a try, and see if it helps.

Let us know if you still need further assistance.

    Thanks 🙂

Your response just answered a question that was going through my head. I moved my Steam directory and repointed the games without issue and was thinking of doing the same with my Origin games. I just didn't know if it would work or if I would have to re-download everything.
