- thank you so much
This EE has been around since the game released last year, but it deserves a mention. On single player, there's a whale that drops from the sky, as a tribute to the whale drop scene from the movie "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". One of the collectible letters in the game entitled "Three Lucky Coins" hints at three coins in the Nordlys campaign (last Act). Find those three gold coins, and you'll hear a bull horn sound. Look out across the frozen water, and a whale will drop.
- @SterlingARCH3R I don't think the letter hinted the location as specific as the War Story name, rather just the location name that can be also accessed in other modes (e.g. Narvik).
Also, Niklas seems to know more about it as he keeps commenting "42":

https://twitter.com/NiklasAstrand/status/1130015879188631552 Yeah nothing was direct, it was all loosely connected. 42 is the answer to everything in the Hitchhiker movie, so maybe that hinted at what to look forward to, but even then, it's vague.
Can you guys figure out what this mysterious bird chirp is? It sounds almost like a pulsing sonar. We haven't been able to figure it out over at the BFEE Discord for some time now (link to Discord at bottom in signature). From @DANNYonPC:
Hello new friend in Solomon!
Hey!
Basic but essential in wartime, this shower is reproduced in detail on the map of Solomon Islands.
Navy Seabees as they shower while stationed in the Pacific, WWII.

Yes @Moskolonel , I liked this design very much.
Look also at the muddy places due to "shower" water.
Very nice design.

A katana could very well be one of the deadliest weapons on that map with all the tight corridors and condensed open-areas. I'm definitely gonna make sure I'm thr first one to that container
- flyinghorse1016 years agoSeasoned Ace@Moskolonel Saw this by Jack on youtube. Very nice one indeed!

@SterlingARCH3R , unfortunately not on film and a few beers further , but I'm sure I saw it right.
Dropped a smoke barrage (squad lead, B , smoke ) right before the game ended with a lost. And in the end overview screen the smoke game in and created the V from battlefield. Just quickly.
Will see if I can get it on video but perhaps noticed this before?

So this is a video I made today in Warstory Nordlys still and silence. The grammar players are not new in warstory's.
Also in tirailleur - faisselle au mort there is one playing music.
What myself surprised but to childish to report a bug for, is the Germans where listening to a version which should be from Vera Lynn - Lili Marlene , see the youtube link.
Well before the german commander did I slaughtered the village already.. But without a joke would expect more Marlene Dietrich - Lili Marleen - see youtube link.
Besides that just wanted to show the grammars as I like them.
@flyinghorse101 I never actually paid much attention to the gramophone music. Nice to hear the references to some of the music! On Firestorm during the preround at the hangar, you can also hear music on the overhead speakers. There are several songs that the BFEE community were able to identify as classic songs from the era.
