Battlefield 4: Emblem Will Not Update

I have recently changed my PSN username and started to experience the same issues as you all have.

I first received an error when I attempted to login into my BF4 profile on Playstation.

It stated this error:

"[some of your account credentials were out of date and needed to be updated. Changing your password and logging in to ea.com should normally fix any issues.]"

At first I thought for some reason someone had stolen my account, but then I realized this is because I had changed my username and the BF4 servers could not automatically make the connection with my new username.

I think changing your username can cause the BF4 servers to not synchronize with your new username even though it is the same account regardless.

Unfortunately the older software/technology from the period of BF4s release is not capable of meeting the new changes and modern demands.

This was an afterthought that the developers  did not take into consideration because it was not possible to change your username on PS4 back in the day.

So if this helps anyone narrow the search I hope we all can get to the bottom of this issue and perhaps find a solution.

EA and DICE please help us out.
