Re: Hackers in BF5

@Kano608 And I can´t disagree more! Yes there has to be something done regarding cheater and hopefully it will be different in the next BF game. However, from someone who has played every single BF title for hundrets of hours: votekicking is the wrong way to go. A system like this always ends up like a witchhunt for whoever is the best player on the server. For some reason a lot of weaker players don´t seem to be able to imagine, that others are just that much better at the game. I bet that 80% of the cheatreport are false and leaving the decision of someone cheating or not to the playerbase will most defently go wrong.

@N4v1sThis is my concern too about vote-kicking as my experiences with it have been quite negative - just look at how people use it in games like GTA Online.

Don't know about percentages but I also do feel a large portion are issued incorrectly. I'm faaaaaaaaaaar from anything but an OK player in BF and even I've had cheater reports issued against me on Xbox.

Yes its not ideal and players get kicked lets get it right kicked not banned when they are having a good run but most players know the diffence between a good run of 30-5 and a cheat with 110-1. So as it stands we have nothing but to accept the hackers and your answer unless Im mistaken is to do nothing rather than have a few unfair kicks.

Any system can be abused such as vote kicking and lets be honest we have seen the team with the hacker not voting as he is helping to their advantage, and yes guys have been kicked incorrectly but set against the tidal wave of hacking isnt a kick far better than allowing hackers to run amuck unchallenged.

The majority of players are sensible and hackers still need reporting but even as a deterrent that if the server community are in agreement that you are hacking then you will be kicked from the server.

@Kano608 I don´t want to be rude in any way, but the majority of players is not sensible at all. The amount of times I have been votekicked on BF3 and BF4 is huge and to this day I can´t join a lot of servers anymore because of being votebanned for "hacking", "high k/d", "pro gamer", "abnormal killrate",...
The statement you are posting: good run (30-5) and cheat (110-1), is the perfect example. When you are playing with a couple friends and using meta medic builds, it is quiet easy to post scores with huge amounts of kills and 0-2 deaths. Numbers don´t tell you anything.

As I said before, something has to be done, but I never liked the vote system and don´t think it´s the way to go. If you are so bothered about cheater, go play in community servers. Most of the time, there are some running with active admins, that are kicking/banning suspicious players.
  • So as a pro gamer as you say, you cannot differentiate between good players and hackers, and a lot of us now not so sensible players can't either. I will say the same i do not mean to be rude but I think you underestimate the community. We know of squad dynamics and reviving but a rank 500 playing medic and doing over 100-1 every round and boasting about it is not a pro gamer.

I feel we must agree to disagree. But thank you for your points.

  • @N4v1s I disagree.

I play BF alot (https://battlefieldtracker.com/bfv/profile/origin/ThePro_PR/overview). I have been playing the BF games since the original (BF1942). I'm a HUGE fan even with all the backlash.

Vote kicking should be an option (unless EA/DICE actually implements a working anti-cheat system that would be smart/quick enough to kick then on the spot ... yet I would always welcome the OPTION; BF1/BFV has been a disaster in terms of anti-cheat). I'm one of those players that is always on top of the leaderboards and I don't remember ever being vote kicked. Yes, I could get hackusation in chat, but there will always be new/bad players that rage and might say something BUT you wont get kicked for that. It has to be a real majority. I remember when vote kicking was an option only the real obvious cheaters with 80-100 kills when the second player with the most kills only had 20-25 kills where the ones that would pass the vote kick.

Can we just have a feedback system ingame on how many players were banned every month for whatever reasons to give us morale and to limit all these hacker posts?

If you go the the page Darko linked to it says there has only been  a half a dozen

bans across all ea titles in the last year that is a testimony

to there Apathy.  Also I am concerned how this can be considered

Resolved when nothing has changed only gotten worse.
