Re: Revive Battlefield 1

Why would they do this? why invest time in a 5 year old game to "revive" it? It makes much more sense to invest their efforts into their new game, this is where the money will be. so again, why would you want to revive a game like bf1 in the first place?

I recently went back to bf1 and even if there was new content i wouldnt stick around for long. The game is 5 years old and most people that were interested in it have played it more than enough during this time. People want something new rather than more of the same they had for years.

Maybe for you, but lots of people would disagree. So what it all boils down to is YOU wanting to play the game and therefore ea has to revive the game so that YOU can enjoy it more. 😉

Actually it seems that EA/DICE shouldn't bother because YOU are not bothered.

I would suggest that the 1000's of players that still play BF1 regularly would love new content for it.

That said, most know that it will never happen so OP is on a lost cause.

@Trokey66 yes 1000's of players still play the game and will never equit.
this game is a masterpiece. some people doesn't know the great value of battlefield 1.
the whole game is perfect even the Easter eggs specially "the peacekeeper" will never repeat.
i love this game for far and i will always appreciate EA/DICE for that great work even if i feel bad right now but i still enjoy the game.

@Mo3tazibrahim i`ll have to agree with both of you. Content would be nice, but no company will invest developers(money) in a game that won`t generate any new income(doubt the battlepacks generate anything at this point).

The only thing that makes sense to hope right now, is them having assigned some people to keep the medals/skins/operation campaign rotation ongoing flawlessly and also taking care of reports. These are things that drive people away, I didn`t play for about 1 month while waiting for some bans and my last game was about 3w ago, when I had to get some scraps for a skin I didn`t have

Where EA/DICE do have to be careful is where if they can't even fix a simple thing like a weekly skin rotation updating as it should then how can they do something far more complex and produce a whole new game like BF6? Surely there are some economics there. It's a demonstration of faith and trust. I'm not sure I trust BF6 to be what it should be based on how BF1 is currently supported. Perhaps I'm in the minority on this chain of thought?

  • @KBAYSTSBwell, of course. Most of the developers are moved to the new game, few stay on maintaining the remaining games playable. Weapons rotations and stuff like that are not really a game breaker thing, so i guess that`s why nobody is rushing to fix it. They had it working for few years, I have no idea what could have destroyed it so bad that it takes weeks to fix.
