Just observe all the cheering all around. Nobody even talks about the standard BF2042 game anymore. It is all about the Portal and how that can be setup to give all of us all we want! NO matter what bizarre desires some players may have for the perfect game. And isn't that great. No more of the non-stop murmuring of negatives, 'but but, I wanted this instead or that instead'... Now it is just: 'Great ! Set it up in the Portal and off you go with it!'

@CyberDyme I still want the “standard” game and it needs to be good.

You are right, I do see / hear a lot of people excited for Portal, however just like the people quick to criticize, do not be too quick to sing EA DICE praises either… we have barely seen anything, either way.

Thanks @carsono311 for bringing me back to the ground.
Dont know why, I even tend often to forget like the many many months of frustration at the launch of BF4...
Guess its because we are so many that really really hope and pray to that THIS next BF2042 will be 'the one'!
After having suffered from disappointments with BF1 and BFV.
And much agreed, the standard baseline for BF2042 needs to be absolute solid !
Otherwise it will not matter much to throw that into further turmoil in the Portal anyway.
To explore and learn the intricacies of the BF2042 game, then think also I will personally spend considerable time first many months just on the core of the new game.

@carsono311 Right, this is DICE and EA. I've been disappointed by them lots before.

That said, I'm excited by the potential of Portal. Looking forward to the beta to see if it lives up to the hype.
