Re: How Can I Play This Game Better?
@Rbs950Good on you for seeking out ways to get better. To preface, I do not claim to be a god-tier Battlefield or any FPS player, but I do feel as though I understand FPS games and their underlying systems well enough to offer something.
1. Aim training. Unfortunately not a lot of options on PS5 just yet, however you are on the right track by practicing tracking, stopping, flicking, etc. Accuracy over speed... then speed up. Gradually work toward consistent headshots. Learn recoil patterns and do not forget secondaries.
2. Win the individual fights. This is the first step to winning 2 v 1s, 3 v 1s, etc. Shoot first and stay on target. Prioritize greatest threat first, which is usually closest to furthest.
3. Use of cover. Sounds like you are doing it where possible. Map knowledge helps a lot here, but eventually you will habitually seek out cover and move in ways that make you a hard target. Try to always reload in cover.
4. Have an out. Relates to the above and map knowledge, but know where you can fall back to if your situation changes mid-fight. Sounds like you already orient toward likely avenues of attack, which is great. Check your flanks often.
Rinse and repeat above ^
Otherwise, remember PTFO has greater earning potential for points than kills. However, it will almost certainly cause your K/D to drop, due to the kinetic and chaotic nature of those areas.
One additional note for Battlefield 2042 is crossplay. PS5 will have crossplay with Xbox Series S/X and PC enabled by default. PC players will have a natural advantage over PC players since mouse and keyboard inputs are not going to work on consoles for launch... just something else to keep in mind.
Good luck and see you on the Battlefield.
