We don't know that yet for sure.

The color naming of the Skins are more like juts made similar to games that had different rarities before BF, with like Grey, Blue, Purple, Gold ect.

And it doesn't actually call the color the skin will have either. As Tier 1 for example has the Black/Red style as we saw on pictures.

It's just a rarity thing 😉

OK thx @Its_Travis_199 ,

But this is what Feras Musmar, EA Design Director said regarding the weapons/skins, so seems to be including them also:

“To help you show off your mastery of different play styles, we created a unique unified color scheme (black and red) across all the Mastery cosmetics, whether it is the Player Levels, Badges, outfits for Specialists, or Weapon Skins. Whenever you see those colors on a player, you’ll immediately understand they are one to be feared”..

    I'm just going to get it out of my system, that pkp is really trying hard to break my suspension of disbelief and I'll level it just to get a saner looking skin (if it exists).

    Also, not a huge fan of the reticle idea, I'd rather have reticles that automatically switch based on ammo type, or optic choices based around ammo choice, but i suspect that's asking too much.

    Then again, it would be funny to have a christmas tree reticle with presets out to 1000m on a mp5.

    Hi @Fringerunner ,

    For the reticles, think we are just starting out with a basic loadout.  And as you rank up a certain weapon with kills, then we unlock more optics/reticles for that weapon.  So though we will not have like a freehand customization feature of the reticles, think we will have sufficient models to choose between to make (almost😀) everybody happy!  👍

    @CyberDyme In all honesty, the reticles are pretty low on my "care about" issue list, though if i get an optic with christmas tree reticle on a subgun, i'll be using it out of spite, mainly for myself.

    But since this was a thread about cosmetics and such, i stand by that whoever came up with that pkp should made to do beach runs with a slung and boxed 240.
    Or preferably, a full-weight mockup of that PKP so they can really appreciate all those angles.
    Or just carry it for a few miles with the handle, I'd like to see their palm after that.

    There's "near future", then there's "what were you thinking?"
    With that said, the graphic design is fine/good, it's trying to operate the thing that's making my head hurt.

    Again though, it's a purely aesthetic nitpick on one model (emphasis) and in no shape/way/form a "the game's going to suck/all cosmetics suck!" post.

    And I agree with your prioritization of 'care about' issues.

    But just to play along what they ask for: 

    Maybe its time for a return of the Harris bi-pod with some bigger balloon wheels for those crazy ones, and they can get a handle in the butt stock to drag it after themselves as a trolley?   😀😂🙃

    @CyberDymeI neither confirm or deny i have 4-5 harris pods still in their plastic in a footlocker in the garage... Or one in the pelican case for my PTR-91F. All lies! 😉

    Edit: i mean, we could go full evil and just remove all bipods and replace them with the vertical combo grips!

    All darn lies and silly rumors!     🤣

    A vertical foregrip is still better than running naked with a heavy gun all one-handed Rambo style. 😋
