Cool, I have Synapse 3 too and have never had an issue with any games in many years, never used macros and don't use a Razor mouse.

Yep synapse 3 here with no macro’s…..guess what still playing!

Its pretty obvious that the anti cheat is banning macro’s and rightly so.

@RatedChaotic Interesting reading, thanks. OP did you buy 2042 through Steam or Origin? Just wondering which platform is issuing bans, maybe it's both but you never know.

@RipGroove99  I doubt it matters, since I got it through Steam and got banned, but another guy  I spoke with got it from Origin (EA app) and he got banned as well.

  • @emerson1975Yeah and your point is? What do you think devs just stop updating their cheat protection? Yeah ok.

Your obviously trying to prove me wrong on everything Ive said and posted. Face the facts buddy. If your using devices or programs for an advantage its against ToS.

Even my razor destructor mouse pad had a use at your own risk policy...lol..but how can they detect a mouse pad? They cant. Could I be banned for a mouse pad that gives me an advantage? Yes technically they can. Would they? Highly doubtful.

Myself and many are using synapse 3 without issue.

The only common denominator is they are probably using macro’s like you said they are against tos and have been for years

  • @emerson1975If you will actually read this. You will see that synapse 3...IS A USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Because it has macro making capabilities.Be thankful you and your buddies have not been caught...Yet!

I was buying my son a gaming pc with Synapse a few years ago. I did research and seen it was a use at your own risk gaming pc and could get you banned from games. I bought him one from a different manufacturer. Sounds like these gamers bought these gaming pcs from these manufactures and got banned. Now the gaming community is like what the heck we didnt cheat.

No but you bought a gaming pc from a manufacturer that uses these...use at your own risk software and devices.

There are gaming pc manufacturers out there that sell pcs designed specifically for hacking games...derp derp

This is why I use Alienware. Alienware has a policy to refund you if any of their products get you banned.

@RatedChaotic  People are ignoring you because you keep repeating yourself on every thread, yet for some reason you aren't comprehending the fact that myself and others didn't use any macros. TBH I have asked numerous times and nobody has even given a good example of how someone could cheat with macros in BF2042. So stop repeating yourself and read what others are saying before forming a thought/response. I can really only speak for myself, but the more I look at other peoples' experiences, I am inclined to believe that most of these people are telling the truth, as am I. We truly have no idea what got us banned because nobody will tell us, you speculating really isn't helping anybody in any way, especially when your speculation has been proven wrong by ppl like me who don't have any software that can apply macros.

@dabbitydabdabmacros are recorded key buttons. In WoW with my g15 keyboard i used to have. It has macro capability. I literally could record all my button commands. With one push of a button my character could cast all spells move 5 steps left and 5 steps right or any configuration I wanted with just one button instead of pushing 50 buttons. This is hacking and against ToS.

Ever seen a modded controller? It uses macros. Ever had someone in call of duty spin around lay down and kill you as you shot them in the back? This can be done with a macro or modded controller and most modded controllers have that macro. Yeah you can be banned for using a modded controller.Yeah you can do it yourself but a macro for it is faster. Because you can edit the timings to have super human reaction times.

    Do you understand now?

You dont have to use macros to get banned for it. If anticheat detects that you have that capability on any device you have on your pc. You can be banned for just having the device plugged in. As my temp ban on guild wars 2 was explained to me.

There are youtube videos and reddit posts about macros being used in many battlefield titles and they do give you an advantage in many cases over other players. So to say macros arent used or dont even give an advantage in battlefield is rubbish. Its not hard to type battlefield macros in google and see for yourself. Just saying.

I may be wrong because I use Synapse for a keypad only and not a mouse but as far as I'm aware the only macros I could create with Syanpse (if I wanted to) are keystrokes based which wouldn't give you an advantage at all in a game like BF because there is no scenario where automating keystrokes would be an advantage.

I checked my Roccat mouse software last night out of curiosity and I couldn't even find a way to create any kind of macros in there so in my limited knowledge about real game enhancing macros tells me you'd have to go out of your way and specifically install certain types of software in order to create recoil macros or whatever because normal generic mouse driver software does not usually allow stuff like that to be created.

I think some certain mice software will allow you to create macros based on mouse movement like assigning a button to do a 180° pivot in game because I've seen people who study mouse sensitivity Vs FOV use them for calculating the perfect mouse sensitivity in game. But I don't think all the mainstream mouse drivers easily allow such things because if they did then everyone would be using them, there would be uproar and FPS gaming would be instantly ruined. You are forced to download proprietary software nowadays with a mouse driver so it's highly unlikely that these companies would include the ability to create recoil and rapid fire macros within that software because they'd be knowingly forcing software on you that could get you banned in many games and that's just not good for business because once that happened people would avoid your hardware and it's related software for fear of being banned.

    Hiya,

Please remember to keep things polite and friendly. You don't need to agree with each other's positions but you do need to engage in a respectful way. Please keep that in mind for again and check out the forum rules for again.

One other thing, if you do see a post or member breaking the rules, please only report it using the report function and continue with the discussion as normal. I beg you, trust us to enforce the rules after reporting it. Do not try to moderate or put others in their place...it only puts your own account inline for moderation and adds to the amount of posts we have to clean-up when we're following up ^^; Have mercy plz.

    Thanks all,

    EA_Lanna

  • okay sorry for trying to do the moderating myself, lol. Thanks for showing up and cleaning up the thread. *snip*

alright cool, EA responded and got me unbanned. Somebody compromised my account when I was asleep, guessing some hacker in europe. Sent them my EA Data and msinfo, confirmed my account got hacked and sent me a password reset. I did all of that, checked my ban, and it got overturned.

  • @Axlerod154 yrs old... playing games online since Duke Nukem in 1991. Have never read a single TOS. Have never cheated. Have always used high end mice (pretty much always Logitech) and keyboards. Never been banned... till this stupid EAC opted to ban me out of the blue for no reason on Dec 22. Now a buddy just early this morning is in the exact same boat. So if EAC is banning people because of a mouse or keyboard, just because it has the capability of using macros and even if macros aren't being used... then that junk software needs to be updated and everyone banned because of it should have that ban lifted.

    6. Rules of Conduct

🛈 We want you to have a good time playing our games. So we expect you, like all players, to respect EA and your fellow players. This means, for example, obey the law, don’t cheat, don’t be offensive, don’t hack our software, don’t spam or bot, don’t lie to EA or our players. Those are the highlights. Read the full list of what not to do in the Rules of Conduct.

When you access or use an EA Service, you agree that you will not:

    • Violate any law, rule or regulation.
    • Interfere with or disrupt any EA Service or any server or network used to support or provide an EA Service, including any hacking or cracking into an EA Service.
    • Use any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another's computer or property, such as denial of service attacks, spamming, hacking, or uploading computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, cancelbots, spyware, corrupted files and time bombs.
    • Interfere with or disrupt another player's use of an EA Service. This includes disrupting the normal flow of game play, chat or dialogue within an EA Service by, for example, using vulgar or harassing language, being abusive, excessive shouting (all caps), spamming, flooding or hitting the return key repeatedly.
    • Harass, threaten, bully, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another player that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.
    • Contribute UGC or organize or participate in any activity, group or guild that is inappropriate, abusive, harassing, profane, threatening, hateful, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invades another's privacy, or is otherwise reasonably objectionable.
    • Publish, post, upload or distribute UGC or content that is illegal or that you don't have permission to freely distribute.
    • Publish, post, upload or distribute any content, such as a topic, name, screen name, avatar, persona, or other material or information, that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful.
    • Post a message for any purpose other than personal communication. Prohibited messages include advertising, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes and other types of solicitation or commercial activities.
    • Impersonate another person or falsely imply that you are an EA employee or representative.
    • Improperly use in-game support or complaint buttons or make false reports to EA staff.
    • Attempt to obtain, or phish for, a password, account information, or other private information from anyone else on EA Services.
    • Make use of any payment methods or refund systems to access, purchase or refund EA Services for fraudulent purposes, or without permission of the authorized owner, or otherwise concerning a criminal offence or other unlawful activity.
    • Use any robot, spider or other automated device or process to access EA Services for any purpose such as scraping data, abuse EA Services, account creation, or copying material.
    • Modify any file or any other part of the EA Service that EA does not specifically authorize you to modify.
    • Use or distribute unauthorized software programs or tools (such as "auto", "macro", hack or cheat software), or use exploits, bugs or problems in an EA Service to gain unfair advantage.
    • Engage or assist in cheating or other anticompetitive behavior (such as boosting, collusion, and match or matchmaking manipulation).
    • Use or distribute counterfeit software or EA Content, including EA Virtual Currency.
    • Attempt to use an EA Service on or through any service that is not controlled or authorized by EA, or otherwise intentionally obfuscate your network connection or location or other metadata to gain access to an EA Service, make purchases, or otherwise access an EA Service.
    • Sell, buy, trade or otherwise transfer or offer to transfer your EA Account, any personal access to EA Services, or any EA Content associated with your EA Account, including EA Virtual Currency and other Entitlements, either within an EA Service or on a third-party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA.
    • Use an EA Service in a country in which EA is prohibited from offering such services under applicable export control laws.
    • If an EA Service requires you to create a "username" or a "persona" to represent yourself in-game and online, you should not use your real name and may not use a username or persona that is used by someone else or that EA determines is vulgar or offensive or violates someone else's rights.
    • Engage in any other activity that significantly disturbs the peaceful, fair and respectful gaming environment of an EA Service.
    • Use information about users publicly available in any EA Service (e.g. on a leaderboard) for any purpose unrelated to the Service, including to attempt to identify such users in the real world.
    • Promote, encourage or take part in any prohibited activity described above.

I genuinely don't think it's got anything to do with that software. I have G-HUB, Synapse 2 and 3, Thrustmaster TARGET, Joystick Gremlin and Sx2vJoy (a vJoy interpreter written in Autohotkey script) installed. All are capable of sophisticated macros.

I also have the RGB control software for my Asrock motherboard and for my PNY GPU.

I'd start looking at other software you have installed, particularly anything capable of manipulating what's in your RAM. Or it might be your KPM from playing matches against bots, but that seems like a stretch.

@filthy_vegansWell if it's KPM with bots... would seem silly because bots are easy to farm. Fire up Discarded with bots on Beginner and you can farm the hell out of them at the beginning of the match by hanging back from the objective. Rinse and repeat.
