Don’t forget ever present bunny hopping. The new DICE is all about chasing trends. I’m surprised there aren’t dance emotes on the store.

- @DigitalHype i struggle to see how this is Vince's fault... he took over this franchise just recently and if you believe he is going to turn this mess of maleware around then you are delusional. also Vince has not been involved in anything DICE to my knowledge even before he took over as franchise manager....
if you want to blame anyone blame the leads and managers who were all let go after 2042 flopped

Bunny-Hopping, Slide-Canceling, i have even seen Sundance-Wingsuit to slide canceling, Spiderman moves with mackay, free loadout for everyone, while most people are just playing the meta (BSV-M, K30 with drum magazine, because every gun needs a drum magazine nowadays)
You're right that it's not fair to blame Vince for all of this. But he, and his "Hero Shooter" mindset is a big part of the problem in 2042. Of course EA executives have been chasing what they think is where the money is. But, there is little doubt in my mind that his vision for the future of BF franchise is heading toward Call of Duty and Apex Legends more than the roots of Battlefield. Certianly more so than the predecessors who he replaced.

i mean if you think so that is your thing, i will wait and see. at the very least the candy-crush exec is gone - @DigitalHype Hero Shooters are okay in an Arena Style Game with up to 10vs10 players, or all the x-Royal games.
I have no idea how many heroes you would need for a 64vs64 arena shooter, but it definitely isn't 10 heroes.

I'm not even saying his vision will be wrong in the long run, when it comes to revenue and profit for EA. Jury is still out. EA's CEO has said they are playing the long game with this franchise. All signs indicate the long game and Vince's direction is going to make the future of this game look more like Call of Duty and less like Battlefield. And just becuase because he didn't take for Oskar until end of 2021 doesn't mean his influence wasn't already there. Those top position changes are usually in the works well before they happen.
Sadly you are probably right. I love the BF franchise, but it has been steadily heading that way. Unfortunately, unless something happens to drag it back towards what BF was, I think this will be the last I buy (and I regret getting 2042). Nobody I know plays BFV or 2042 now, but some still play BF4 and the new reality mod for BF3 looks interesting.
Other than that, it is Insurgency Sandstorm on Console at the moment, or Squad/Arma III on PC.
- @DigitalHype Vince? He's barely had a chance to make an impact as BF lead, dude. Gunplay is largely the same as it was at launch (just less buggy) and that was all made before Vince was placed in charge.
Honestly, it feels like bat netcode on DICE's end which is why the TTK/TTD is so wildly inconsistent and how you can pop out and dump 5+ rounds into someone before they even start shooting you, yet you still die instantly.
Vince isn't gonna turn BF into CoD, chillax. Nah this game doesn't come near Call of Duty IMHO.
I try to play both games..i say try because i know i can play multiple rounds on CoD without netcode/hitreg or the other faults 2042 have.
With this game i only hope i can finish a round with the amount of nonsens it brings.
I don't think Vince's name is listed in the credits for 2042. I'm not sure he'll make Battlefield great again, but he can't do much worse.
