i've thought about it and i'm not on board with it.  the bots don't respond intelligently and don't play realistically even at higher difficulties.  why should that count towards progression the same as playing against live humans?

if you are going to do any sort of progression against bots there should be a separate pool of exp/rewards from what you get from playing against humans

Yeah either shut down those servers and ban those players while restricting PVE XP 

OR

allow the boost servers, and just open everything up for XP. If it doesn't matter that they are boosting, then shooting bots shouldn't matter either.

I do like your other option, which I have recommended before. There should be a PVE XP tier that players can unlock attachments and skins, but only in PVE.

Because there is a market of players who only play PvE and paid extra Premium money to be able to unlock all the content without needing to play 8 hours a day 7 days a week to do that.

The PvE crowd can only unlock a portion of the game's content and BP because it takes forever, currently. The progression in PvE is way too slow which tends to kill the fun and ends up being a waste of money because you only unlock a fraction of what you've paid for.

If you're not going to let PvE players unlock everything then charge us less money, period.

I'll never understand why they LOWER the XP on playing with Bots, when you will die far more and progress far SLOWER playing with humans... lol

The person who said this is a game and should be fun and not be a chore is most apt

I personally almost totally play against bots as I suck playing and don't want to ruin it for others (let my team down, etc). I love the fact they included bots - it's the main reason I bought the game. 

THANK YOU EA for including bots again (like BF2 had).

Also I must say, the AI have been drastically improved since launch. They actually revive you! Sometimes...

You say why should that count against progression? Here's why, because there aren't enough human players to fill lobbies to begin games. Some regions have to wait until the evening to play because of the minimum player count required in AoW, and even then, they're playing on Portal so Bots aren't allowed there, so lobbies start off slow and die fast.

That reason alone, should be enough to allow bots on Vanilla Portal Servers.

XP should not be separated between Humans or AI because as I've mentioned, some people barely have any humans to play with because of the game's minimum required players to start. By implementing a distinction in XP, you're effectively saying those players must now play double the amount of time that players in populated regions play?

So many people have been asking for AI in Portal to allow FULL XP. It's time that it was allowed. Playing vs Bots is hardly equitable to XP Farms. Have you flown a helicopter vs Easy Bots? Their tanks literally one shot you out the sky and every single soldier fires RPGs at you. The AI is not as dumb as you say.

there's no bots on portal... dice should do like coop mode and add some easy customization (128 and 32 bots options)
