Re: Dead Space 1

I have bought the game on disk and have tried installing it via EA download manager, Origin and via the disk but i have a problem it just tells me "Failed to activate a security module required. You can not run this program (8016)." (but in swedish so the translation might not be perfect) if i could get some advice on the matter it would be nice.

If you're running the new Skylake processor, you'll need to hit up your mobo manufacturer and get a bios update.

You've got to be kidding. Because of a damn DRM protection (which does not help anything in the first place other that to scare away customers but some will never understand this) you'll have to update a mobo BIOS just to run a simple game? Ridiculous!

I only think it is sad that the problem obviously is not related to the game but to a security measure to prevent play ... ähm ... copying the game. I have a few games I cannot play anymore because of the DRM even though I payed for them and nearly every copy protection measure is broken in a few days mostly even shortly before release. I wish publishers would see this. Just take a look at GOG.com they are proof that DRM-free does work but I don't think that EA will ever see this the way I see it.
