Dead Space 2 Authorization Limit Reached. Cannot Run.
Just purchased a Steam Deck because my gaming laptop fried and wanted to play Dead Space 2. I purchased the game back in 2021 off of Steam and believe me it’s one of my favorite titles to play, more so when it kept me entertained through my deployment. after installing it on my deck and running it, it said that the authorization key given exceeded its use. Talked about Customer Support and said they can’t do anything because they need the see the files installed on the laptop that cannot be looked at because it’s dead and because it’s a “Sunset Game” they cannot reset the limitations. talked to Steam and they said “it’s EA’s property we can’t do anything about it.” Spoke back with EA and they gave me a link to a de-authorization tool that the steam deck cannot run because of its Linux OS. I’m currently installing it on a separate laptop just to use the de-authorization tool to see if that will reset it so I can play the game I legally purchased. If this doesn't work that I'm going back to the Steam discussion page on what can be done. The biggest load that I am seeing right now is despite you spending money and owning something, you really don't own it. The joke of digital media is the future is that you can spend money for it to be disabled. They act as if you're only going to buy ONE computer to use your entire life.
Dead space 2 continuously crashing at the main menu after pressing any button.
I have tried many hours and many things to get this running, I've provided my specs and the conversation I had with an EA help tech. I sincerely hope anyone could help; I've loved the dead space series for many years and have played all many times. I've tried many online reddit solutions, to buying dead space 2 off of steam and the EA website. I've tried changing my bios cores, I've tried clearing the cache, I've tried reinstalling it. I've tried deleting all old data just in case of any corruption, and I've also tried the troubleshoot compatibly windows provider and it still crashes at the main menu. I should also mention prior to this, I was able to play Dead space 2 off of steam for many many hours, then one day it just stopped working. I play Soley off PC as well. Thanks for reading.
Will there be a Dead Space 2 Remake
Does anyone think they will be a Dead Space 2 Remake? i have been a long time fan of the Dead Space Franchise and i tried the spiritual successor to Dead Space, aka The Callisto Protocol and in my opinion it fell way WAY short of the mark. I know me and a friend of mine is hoping for a Dead Space 2 Remake cause the games i feel were left on a cliff hanger at the end of Dead Space 3 as they still had more source material they could have covered to make a Fourth game but....
please remove the bugged achievements from steam
According to various topics on Steam, the EA forum, and across the internet, there are four achievements that are impossible to obtain on Steam. Could EA, in some way (without involving the original developers), remove these achievements from Steam so that players can achieve 100% completion in the game? Survivalist Aren't You Thankful? Dead Space Remake
I've recently bought Dead Space Remake and running into unbearable frame time stutters and abrupt FPS drops within my game occurring every 5-8 seconds. I'd greatly appreciate this to be fixed otherwise I'll have to unfortunately refund. Thanks. FYI- I've ensured the game is on the latest/updated game version and that the correct game settings.
Dead Space 3 Crashes on "Please Wait: Checking for Saved Games" Dialogue Box
I have DS3 on steam. When I open the game, it loads just fine to the "press any key" screen. When I press any key, the dialog box shows "searching for game saves" and the game crashes. Marker fragment missing from chapter 10.
I have been following a comprehensive guide on the locations of each marker. SO far i have 10/12 collected (just picked up the one located in deluxe crew bunks. And when i go to pick up Marker fragment 11/12 There is nothing on the desk its supposed to be on. Ive reloaded the game multiple times with no luck. Ive also been told its behind wine bottles (there is no wine bottles to be seen) images attached. Please help as this fully prevents me from finishing the alternate ending.
Dead Space 2 with legacy key
I have a physical DVD of Dead Space and tried installing it yesterday again. the game is impossible to load because it seems to no longer be possible to check for the release date online and the game software always tries to run the check before launching. i tried entering my key from back then in the EA app, hoping it would automatically work and it let me download the game but i´m unable to start the game. is there a solution for this problem, can EA give me a new key or do i have to re-buy the game again to make it work?Dead Space
Hello I bought the game Dead Space 2023 edition, installed it on my laptop. During the installation I also had to install the EA Games app. However, after installation I can't launch the game. Does it have anything to do with the fact that I actually downloaded it from Epic games and after installation I synced both apps. After dropping down into the pit with the markers in chapter 17, I input the alien sigils to say “open,” but the door doesn’t open. The middle circle of the door is blue but when I approach it doesn’t change much. I can no longer progress and would appreciate some help.Dead Space remake asking for activation code with EA play
I have been attempting to finish Dead Space but yesterday it began asking for a license code when attempting to play the game. I have spoken to tech support and cleared the cache, prior to doing this I also uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the EA play app.
Higher than normal PC Temps
I am having issues with Dead Space(2023) on my PC The temps on both my cpu 91 degress and gpu was hotter than normal and they are uncomfortably high and I have my AIO Cooler on performance. My game settings we on normal I had to turn DLSS on and ray tracing off, The Game ran fine graphically outside of that. My other issue I am also having issues with my keyboard not working with the game. I have a razer huntsman v2. I tried to plug in 2 different xbox controllers and those wont work either with the game. I have restarted my game, pc. including a new game file as well. I can only walk. I can't stomp or sprint. And when I picked up the plasma cutter it just stays up. Any insight on how to fix this? the only thing I have not tried to get the controller to work is unplugging my Keyboard and mouse entirely from the pc and booting up the game in BIg Picture mode on steam. Ea straight up missing out, such a popular ip, and with it being absent from the fortnite shop for almost 2 years, codes online are now selling for over 300 dollars. It's just ridiculous if there is zero thought of bringing it back, such easy bank but ea has no clue what their stuff is worth. I'm not wasting 300 dollars for a code when it should just come back to the fortnite shop. Please ea hear my pleas, fortnite has 60 million daily users just FYI. You will make money, for zero effort! It's been almost 2 years since Isaac was last in the fortnite shop, in that time codes have gone up to 300 DOLLARS! Does ANYBODY know how we can get this to return so I don't have to waste money? Or is the only real chance of a return with a new dead space game? Because I know it was originally made for promotion.
